This prompted a dinner time visit that night...then lunch a few days later. First, there is a lot going on in there. They were decently busy. Not packed but it still seemed loud and full because of the 100 TVs (not really 100). The host staff and the servers were all very polite which was nice. This place has a pretty large menu but pretty basic stuff; just what you would expect from an American bar and grill. Good salads, good wings and a decent beer selection. Service was great from the greeting at the front door through the entire dinner service. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Refills came without having to ask or the glass even getting empty. I love when a place just keeps the drinks coming at a perfect pace. The food came quickly and was delicious. We stopped going here a few years ago because the service was so bad and the portions were so small for the price. Well I made the mistake of deciding to try them for a catering order today. I thought let me give them another try, it's been a few years. Biggest mistake ever. I placed an order a week in advance. Arrived at the pick up time and was told it would just be a minute. 20 minutes later the Togo guy asks for payment. I said "ummm how much longer is it going to be because I have to go to work. And I am not going to pay if it isn't going to be ready in time for me to get to work" He says 5 minutes. So I pay. It was another 12 minutes and when the food was brought out the person then informs me they had the time wrong! Like you couldn't have told me that 30 minutes ago??? No apology, not even a $5 off, just whoops here ya go hope you enjoyed standing here for 30 minutes. And their idea of a "platter" is a bag full of ingredients. Been pretty happy with this place overall, especially since my wife found the one vegetarian item on the menu (the veggie burger) and is happy with it. Pretty consistent overall, and food quality is better than Applebees, with a similar price and scene. It seems to be pretty busy in the evenings, but lunch can be a casual. I have yet to check them out during any sports event, but I'd bet it gets pretty busy. read more

Disclaimer: I went to this place around 2:30 on a Monday afternoon. I went here to grab a late lunch in between running errands. When I walked through the door, I noticed there were about four people in uniforms talking at the bar. Not one of them noticed me. I grabbed a menu to see if I this was the place I wanted to eat ... there are other places to eat in this shopping center. Another person walked in, who was there for some kind of training. An employee ran over to get her, and still, not a word to me. I noticed a waiter walking around and asked if I should just sit wherever (I was interested in the outside patio) and he seated me, and told me that someone would be around soon. Two tables were already seated in the patio, one which had a waitress come out and give them their bill. She looked directly at me and walked back inside. Ok, maybe I wasn't one of her tables... I get that. What I didn't get was waiting another five or so minutes and STILL no one came out. I went back inside and sat at the bar, ordering an Arnold Palmer and the small portion of their grilled chicken salad. The food itself was fine. I think this place would be great to watch any kind of sports, considering there were TVs everywhere. But I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon... especially for lunch. read more

How can there be such a difference between food quality and service between two different Glory Days restaurants? We are regulars at the Reston North Point location where the food is outstanding and the service equally as good. We have eaten several times at the Frederick MD location and have been totally disappointed each time. I would think that a chain restaurant would have the consistency in their menu items for both appearance and taste. The Frederick location's food is sub par in both categories. And off she goes. Cones back a minute later. 'They'll be right out'. As she's about to run off again (to do what heaven knows there's hardly anyone in there now and more than enough wait staff wandering around aimlessly) my wife asks for an ice tea refill (imagine that I finished my ice tea as I sat there starving with no staff even glancing our way). After she leaves my wife comments 'I bet she never put the order in'. ' You know, I bet your right'. Sure enough 15 minutes later still no food and a large party of about 8 or so who came in 20 minutes after us gets there food. That's enough we're out. My wife ever the diplomat waves the waitress down as we're preparing to leave and asks her to get the manager. Manger comes out and is very apologetic and offers to comp the meal. Nice but thats just over the least you can do. If the waitress had owned up the the screw up out of the gate or even tried to lie or make excuses at least that would be something, some kind of effort. She blew us off and didn't even a passing effort to check on us or offer us anything even a stinking drink refill (if you remember we had to ask). Long story long, we stayed and ate. Food was mediocre at best. To summarize: Food - Meh, Service - Appalling, Ambiance - Generic sports bar ( good amount of tvs though). Don't waste your time we wasted ours for you. read more

We haven't really been a big fan of this restaurant. We decided to go in today since I was shopping at the nearby grocery store. There were two of us. The place is nicely lit and there were many tables available and most of the staff were very cutely dressed for Halloween. We wanted a booth and got one albeit it wasn't as warm or cozy as I wanted it to be. I and the 'partner in crime' are a huge fans of Maryland crab dip. So we got that right off the bat. But that was a huge mistake - the crab dip was 3/4th bread crumbs and maybe maybe maybe - stretching it really really really far - 1/4th crab dip. I took a picture of the dip that was less dip and more bread crumb. The bread that came out with it was excellent and very fresh. We loved the bread more and the bready crab dip very much less. Then we ordered a steak and grilled shrimp. The shrimp was good, quantity and quality was not great but not bad either. The steak was a disaster. The 'onion strings' or straws were actually in the crab dip category. My suggestion stop buying bread Glory Days. The server was good, could be more cheerful but hey it's Halloween - cut her some slack!! Not coming back. EVER!! It's insulting the great state of Maryland's favorite crab dip. read more

Came to this location for the first time to watch Sunday night football with some friends. And I loved it! The wait staff are really nice and helpful. (And it helped that our waiter was hot. *wink wink*) There are plenty of big screens all over... AND there are speakers at each table to tune into any of the TVs you like! So, you won't miss any of your game. I recommend the Red Sangria (be sure to get a pitcher) and the crab pretzels. I prefer Glory Days over BWW... just saying. read more

Wow. I'm very disappointed. I was really looking forward to my boneless wings. I ordered them to go. Got home and they were cold as Ice. My mom ordered traditional wings and said they were hard as brick. I also ordered regular fries but was given sweet potato fries instead. Also I have found if you go during a real busy time, parking may be at a distance. You can enter either in the side where to go orders are picked up or an the very front near the outdoor seating. 3 Stars Atmosphere: This place is loud, noisy and can be distracting place with all the TVs. If you likke the multiple TVs with sports everywhere on all different channels, then tthis really is the place for you. If you like it a little quieter, not TVs with sponts on every channel that fills the walls - then this is not for you. It is fun and though it may be "ok" for kids, though it is best for adults. I have always been there with a group of adults and aalways find it great fun. 3 Stars Customer Service: We were greated and then seated as soon as we got there. I was in a party of five and I must say that our waitress was right there. She took immediate care of us and frequently filled our glasses with beverages as needed. It would look better if the Turkery was actually fluffed in the bun instead of just dumpec on it as if it came from a cup. The bacon while nicely crispy, would have been nice to have gotten more than just one piece per slider. But trust me if you want to enjoy a good Turkey BLT and salad, this combination will fit the bill!They offer a full menu, with their specialty being the Hamburgers. I would have to give the sandwich and salad a 3-4 Stars. So my husband and I stopped in a nice warm afternoon, for lunch and maybe a couple beers. As always, I was super excited and hopeful that this first experience would be a good one. We opted to sit outside as the weather was prefect for patio seating. We were seated immediately and the staff was very nice. We started with the beer bucket special (make total sense if you know you will share a few), the only thing that was kind of annoying about the bucket was the outside table had holes in it, no problem there, but the bucket's condensation ended up dripping on me a bunch of times. Maybe the restaurant can get some kind of bowl to put under it for the patio sitters next time. For an app, we decided on the Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps, sounded delish, but ended up being super dry and pretty bland. I was so hoping they would be good. For lunch I opted for the cobb salad and my husband just got wings. The salad was a plain Jane as you could get, iceburg lettuce, pre-shredded Mexican cheese, prepared croutons. Call me snobby, but croutons are so easy to make in-house and are so yummy that way, I don't know why any establishment would waste the money on the crappy store bought kind (rant over), j/s. The hubby said that the wings were OK. Nothing to call home about. At the end of the lunch hour, I was happy to have shared a cold beer special and a good conversation with the hubby. Based on the mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but we decided to stop in on our way back from a weekend away to watch part of the football game. When we got here there was a small wait, but the front of house employees worked efficiently to get us seated quickly. Our server, Tommy, was friendly, enthusiastic, attentive and made great recommendations. The food came out fast and everything was delicious. They have the best wings I have ever tried and have so many different options to choose from. I normally get the ribs when I go there and they are amazing they are coated in the other effect amount of sauce and have a lot of meat. My mom got the Philly cheesesteak and she said it was one by of the best she's had. My sister always gets the burger and it was also amazing . We did a pick up order due to covid and there were multiple issues. There was hair in my food, burgers were red inside when we specified to make them well-done, and they didn't include the condiments we asked for. But the worst part was that they said our never-before-used gift card would not work, so we had to pay for the large order out of pocket. They said maybe the gift card was for "another Glory Days franchise," which it was not (and I don't think there is any other Glory Days franchise). They offered no apology or recompense. BUT to my great surprise, despite having tv's GALORE on all walls, NONE had their closed captioning on. Being deaf, it was very disappointing. One of my favorite glory day locations aside from Ranson, WV. This location has great customer service whether dining in or ordering carry out. They have some of the best wings I have tried- my favorite being old bay. I frequent this location especially during football season and have yet to be disappointed. They really handle gluten free needs for wife wonderfully, with many options and care in delivery beyond the manager.
