We go to Glory Days in Frederick,Md quite often. We always enjoy the food and atmosphere. If we are there during happy hour (3-7) we will order a drink. Yesterday we were there at approximately 3:45pm, during happy hour. I asked for a glass of their house Chardonnay which during happy hour is priced at $4.99 per glass. I was told they were out of the house wine but had others to choose from. I asked if they were offering one of the others at happy hour price and I was told no that I would have to pay the regular price for the wine which was several dollars more. This did not sit well with me and I told the bartender in a nice way that I felt they should offer one of the other brands at the reduced price of $4.99 since they were out of the house brand. She agreed with me but said it was a management decision. I do NOT agree with this decision at all!!!! read more

I got two impossible burgers with vegan bun and no cheese to make it vegan. Unfortunately towards the end of my meal I found pieces of bacon in my burger...as a vegan this is honestly the worst. I feel sick and so upset. I called and spoke to manager and she was nice and refunded me. Honestly not even about money. Nothing they can do to make me go back or trust them and their careless kitchen staff. Hopefully they address this issue and pay close attention in the future. Glory Days has been my family's go to restaurant for the past 10 years because they had a great gluten free menu. After ordering the last time we tried going there we learned they had discontinued their dedicated fryer. The only potato product they offered was mashed potatoes that contained dairy which I couldn't have either. The only side they could offer was steamed broccoli so wound up leaving and going elsewhere. It's disappointing that a restaurant that was one I'd had such great experience at for so long is no longer one I can eat at. read more

First time here and last time here! The wait staff was great that's why I gave one star. However, as we were waiting for our food we heard a manager raise his voice to a busboy and shout "That's no reason not to do your job!" Right in the middle of the dining room. Wow. I'm kind of surprised Bruce Springsteen wasn't playing when I walked in here. This place is All American in the not so political way but in the I'm here to have a really cold beer and comfort bar food sorta way. Came here with a coworker and tried the BEST buffalo cauliflower wings ever. Our server warned us that these were in fact boneless wings because the couple before us were unaware that cauliflower doesn't have bones lol. Took my family of 5 (kids 11, 10 and 7) there last night and was greeted by Mark, the manager. From start to finish we had a great experience (have never been before). From Wings, fried pickles to moz sticks the apps were on point! For dinner we had chicken fingers, ribs, grilled cheese and a Cobb salad. Food was fresh, hot and tasty! Placed an online order and when we went to pick it up it was given away to someone else according to the Togo worker. When they remade our food it was incorrect and missing part of our wings. Then when they tried to provide us with the rest of the wings they gave us the wrong sauce after waiting for 30 minutes for the remake of 6 wings. On top of that the GENERAL MANAGER gave someone else 48 wing in less than 5 minutes because they had a baby. Meanwhile my order was placed over 2 hours ago. Not a single manager said anything to us. This was a completely awful experience and as you know for an online order you have to provide your number and email so they just dropped the ball. The family went there for the first time and we absolutely LOVED it. Our server was attentive and great with our kids. We had a bison burger, open faced turkey sandwich, chicken bacon wrap and kids grilled cheese. Food was hot and tasted good. We will definitely be coming back again! read more

Bummer. I ordered next door at bonefish, which was amazing-but my husband ordered the chicken sandwich here. It was burnt. Not dark brown, it literally looks like it caught on fire on one side- and this was a fried chicken sandwich. The smell in itself was overwhelming of charred bad meat. I was embarrassed for the company that they would think their customers do not deserve a well cooked sandwich. Just toss the burnt one- it happens- Dont cover it up with a slob of sauce and expect your customers not to notice. He seriously thought he broke a tooth. Needless to say it went in the trash, where it should have been tossed before it was sent out. I didnt bother even calling- as we didnt want free food- I wouldn't trust it. A 2/5 if that. So it started with the host, who didn't even part his lips once. He was a young kid, who didn't even acknowledge me or my husband when we were just standing there waiting to be seated. Then he finally decides to turn around & saw us standing, waiting to be seated still not parting his lips. Then he grabbed 2 menus & just looked at us to follow him to a booth. No "here you guys go, enjoy your food, the waiter will be right with you", absolutely Nothing! Just walked away. Another bad flaw, I got wet from the AC apparently dripping from the ceiling so we requested another booth. In that second booth, it started trickling again & I asked our waitress to move to another booth & she says "Well I already closed that booth for the night so maybe you could just scoot over in your seat" yeah I'm pregnant by the way, but she didn't care to even move us to another part of the restaurant. I visited Glory Days with my vegan husband last night to try the Impossible Burger. Very disappointed, not because it wasn't really close to beef (it was) but it was a skinny dry over-charred tasting patty. I asked if it could have been made less 'done' and was told that no, its too skinny, but guess it would have been nice to have had the choice offered; I never eat anything well done like that. also, got 'red skinned potatoes' as a side expecting some kind of nicely cooked and seasoned red potato side. I got a little dish with maybe 3 whole boiled potatoes in it with a tiny bit of melted fat in the bottom of the dish. No seasoning, none. Who serves unseasoned boiled potatoes on the side? is there any diet or cuisine where this is a thing? so unappealing. The waiter said that, yes, this is how they are always served ( I wondered if a new guy in the kitchen just didn't follow some better recipe, maybe cutting, seasoning and baking/sauteing them or something) but no. also, loud, TVs everywhere, not my idea of a pleasant meal, so won't be coming back. read more

Excellent food and service! Definitely going back here! The manager made my burger and personally assured me that it was gluten free. They also ave a dedicated fryer for their fries and wings that is kept separate from the other fryers. My husband, who does not have to eat gluten free, also enjoyed his meal. Horrible! Ordered online at 5:22PM and was told the order would be ready at 5:44. Arrived and waited, waited some more, kept asking, finally the curbside waitress asked was this order for "xxxxx right?" No, that was not what we told you our name was plus the online order has the car make, model and color. Finally brought the order out at 6:11. Said they were sorry. Got home and everything was cold. Wings were hard from sitting. Onion rings mushy. Order had probably been sitting for 20-25 minutes. If we had not already paid, they would be eating their own cold food. This is the second time I've been here and I really enjoyed my meal. I got the new grilled chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce. I had the crab dip for an appetizer and for a chain restaurant, the crab dip is pretty good. We had mozzarella sticks as well, but I'd pass on those. The peach lemonade is delicious. Waited 10 minutes to be seated at 7:15 pm on a random Tuesday. Ok no big deal. Waited another 5 minutes for a waitress. Still okay no sweat. Looking at the menu, ugh generic chain restaurant fare, I was hoping for better but, whatever. Waitress takes our order, and we wait. And we wait. And we wait. It goes from 'huh kitchen must be short staffed ' to ' what the F**k?!?'. My wife flags down the waitress who has been MIA since delivering the drinks and tells her the food hasn't come out yet (it's been 45 minutes since we were seated). 'Oh I'll have to check '. And off she goes. Cones back a minute later. 'They'll be right out'. As she's about to run off again (to do what heaven knows there's hardly anyone in there now and more than enough wait staff wandering around aimlessly) my wife asks for an ice tea refill (imagine that I finished my ice tea as I sat there starving with no staff even glancing our way). After she leaves my wife comments 'I bet she never put the order in'. ' You know, I bet your right'. Sure enough 15 minutes later still no food and a large party of about 8 or so who came in 20 minutes after us gets there food. That's enough we're out. My wife ever the diplomat waves the waitress down as we're preparing to leave and asks her to get the manager. Manger comes out and is very apologetic and offers to comp the meal. Nice but thats just over the least you can do. If the waitress had owned up the the screw up out of the gate or even tried to lie or make excuses at least that would be something, some kind of effort. She blew us off and didn't even a passing effort to check on us or offer us anything even a stinking drink refill (if you remember we had to ask). Long story long, we stayed and ate. UPDATE*** I returned here last month to enjoy lunch with my children again and I must say this time my visit was much more pleasant than before. We were greeted by several employees when we arrived and when we left. It almost felt like we walked in on a surprise party. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside. There were only two other customers outside, but that did not diminish the service we received. Our food was on time and it was delicious, especially the cheese fries, which I highly recommend. We stopped going here a few years ago because the service was so bad and the portions were so small for the price. Well I made the mistake of deciding to try them for a catering order today. I thought let me give them another try, it's been a few years. Biggest mistake ever. I placed an order a week in advance. Arrived at the pick up time and was told it would just be a minute. 20 minutes later the Togo guy asks for payment. I said "ummm how much longer is it going to be because I have to go to work. And I am not going to pay if it isn't going to be ready in time for me to get to work" He says 5 minutes. So I pay. It was another 12 minutes and when the food was brought out the person then informs me they had the time wrong! Like you couldn't have told me that 30 minutes ago??? No apology, not even a $5 off, just whoops here ya go hope you enjoyed standing here for 30 minutes. And their idea of a "platter" is a bag full of ingredients. How can there be such a difference between food quality and service between two different Glory Days restaurants? We are regulars at the Reston North Point location where the food is outstanding and the service equally as good. We have eaten several times at the Frederick MD location and have been totally disappointed each time. I would think that a chain restaurant would have the consistency in their menu items for both appearance and taste. The Frederick location's food is sub par in both categories. We haven't really been a big fan of this restaurant. We decided to go in today since I was shopping at the nearby grocery store. There were two of us. The place is nicely lit and there were many tables available and most of the staff were very cutely dressed for Halloween. We wanted a booth and got one albeit it wasn't as warm or cozy as I wanted it to be. I and the 'partner in crime' are a huge fans of Maryland crab dip. So we got that right off the bat. But that was a huge mistake - the crab dip was 3/4th bread crumbs and maybe maybe maybe - stretching it really really really far - 1/4th crab dip. I took a picture of the dip that was less dip and more bread crumb. The bread that came out with it was excellent and very fresh. We loved the bread more and the bready crab dip very much less. Then we ordered a steak and grilled shrimp. The shrimp was good, quantity and quality was not great but not bad either. The steak was a disaster. The 'onion strings' or straws were actually in the crab dip category. My suggestion stop buying bread Glory Days. The server was good, could be more cheerful but hey it's Halloween - cut her some slack!! Not coming back. EVER!! It's insulting the great state of Maryland's favorite crab dip. read more
