I called several times, they said they will deliver that week but no action. A bunch of liars. They tell you what you want to hear but they don't do anything. The company sucks, customer service sucks, slow, and no updates on their site up until 4 1/2 months the boxes were picked up, slow to update after the first. Their business practices are questionable, with absolutely no transparency and accountability. You'll end up going down the rabbit hole of following up with no clear updates. This is the cargo movers company I used for our Balikbayan boxes going to Laguna last November. We were serviced by their Woodside office (agent) from Balikbayan box selling to cargo pick-up . We never used their service before, we picked the company based on a friend's recommendation. The office is small, located in the corner of busy crossed streets. The person in charge was welcoming, gave me his business card and some useful information. There is an option between drop-off or pick up service. Drop-off service will cost less. Each box costs $5. There is free box if you requested for a pick-up service. Pricing is within the comparative level. They can process credit card as form of payment during pick-up. My boxes were picked up on a Monday night ( by the way the person who came was late by an hour as per appointment- reason why my review was one star short). He mentioned that it could possibly be included on that Sunday shipment (weekly schedule). Provided that there will be no delay on processing/releasing in the Philippines port, transit time is about 2 months- delivered right by the door of the recipient as he promised. I got a message from a family and they received it already on ETA with no visible damage. I am impressed. They have a website that you could track your cargo. This one picks up the phone and answers questions. - The least expensive balikbayan prices I have encountered in the United States. - Tracking works as advertised. - shipped ~30 boxes over the past 10 years. Not a single loss or theft. - UMAC charges well over twice the price for the same box to the same location. - Never knew how good Global Cargo, LLC was until I recently used UMAC (when on the west coast). CONS: - Does take weeks+ to start to get tracking results. But that is what they advertise. - Tracking results are not very granular. I used Global Cargo the first time on April 8, 2017 (Saturday). My box was picked up at my apartment at Brooklyn and the check that I gave was cashed out April 17 (Monday). My box was received in the Philippines 7 weeks after my check was cashed out, June 5. Not bad. So I decided to use them again last Oct 13, 2017 the date when my box was picked up. I got notification from my bank when the check was cashed out and it was dated Nov 1. aimagine the time between the pick up date and the date my payment was cashed out, it was 19 days. That means my box was sitting in their office either at Roosevelt or at NJ. And until now my family haven't received my box yet. Christmas and New Year is over and their Christmas presents are still nowhere because their people working in the Philippines are hard to contact and their telephone numbers are not working. I sent out my package July 19, 2019... it's exactly two months now and when I called their New Jersey office the agent said.... it arrived already but they cannot track the package as their Manila office does not have internet! The agent was rude telling me" I'm lucky that it arrived already!" Pertaining to the package/box. But there's no way to track it as they don't control the delivery. I've never been so treated badly that I want to advise people not to go to this mover at all. Your hard earned pasalubongs will be soooo delayed moreso cannot track it at all. My family received the 55 inch TV i sent broken. It was carefully put into its original box with styro and stuff and after 3 months of waiting, the TV has a crack on lower left side of the screen as shown in attached screenshot. It's my first time sending a balikbayan box to the Philippines so I'm excited.I asked kuya Eddie how long would it usually take he said 2mos so it's already 2wks delayed,I didn't know they have a website that I can track the package so when I called the gentleman who wasn't even "gentle" answered the phone he infomed me about it I went to the website and tracked it, then I tried calling him back for clarification. It took him way longer to answer the phone, to my surprise he gave me an attitude "ano po bang problema!? Then trying to explain in an irritated voice.I don't know what's wrong with verifying your balikbayan box. His response was not like a typical fellow kababayan. I sent boxes to two families, one family lives in Cainta, Rizal and the other in Paranaque. First of all, the Cainta boxes arrived after 2 months and 1 week. The Paranaque boxes have not arrived yet and it's almost 3 months now since I dropped them off. Don't tell your customers it will arrive in 2 months if it will not arrive in 2 months, that's just false advertisements. Even the online tracking system is useless because it doesn't tell you anything but an ETA that already passed. I checked the tracking on August 16 and it still says ETA is August 5. read more

I used them for 5 years had good service at a great price. But this last time they sent my box to Manila via Cebu it took an extra 2 weeks to get to Manila then sat in there office for almost 2 weeks while they made excuses like couldn't find it. It was on a truck that turned back due to traffic but then unpacked and left for another day. When my family finally got there box. We watched online as they opened them I saw one had been opened and stuff stolen. Some baby clothes other new cloths some soap and shampoos other small stuff. Just low life pilfering I guess they felt they deserved a Merry Christmas. But the worst was I sent my father in-law a bottle of coffee liquor they opened it drank half and put it back . My friend finally received her box in the Philippines on June 15. It took about 2 1/2 months to arrive via boat. The price is good. And the box size is large with unlimited weight. I have used Global Cargo several times now to send balikbayan boxes to my mom and they are an excellent company! First of all, my mom has always received her boxes in perfect condition - no damage or tears, and everything that I sent her makes it there. Second, and most importantly, their customer service is incomparable. I live in Manhattan and have had my boxes picked up a few times. They go above and beyond to help. Recently, I needed a rush pick-up so that I could be included in the Sunday shipment, and they (Marvin, Randy, and the agent at the Woodside store) made it possible. I was so happy because I had been wanting to ship my box and empty a closet for a while and finally got everything that my mom had asked for, and although I knew it wouldn't arrive before Christmas, I was hoping to get it to the Philippines by mid-January, so their consideration/helpfulness to get my box for a rush pick-up really made my day. On another occasion, the person picking up didn't have any more empty boxes to give me for my next shipment but they told me to tell the guy at the office or the guy next time I get a box picked up and they will give me an extra box. Thankfully, they kept their word and I was given the extra box.
