We worked with Anna at Glendale Tile for 9 months to order our custom Bisazza wall. First i have to say Anna was always professional in her dealing with us, even when i lost my cool when it imploded towards the end! We have since been told by Bisazza USA that the entire project was mishandled from the beginning! To be honest, 50/50 blame is to be shared between the Bisazza and their LA showroom rep and Glendale. What i am most furious about is the way Todd Amirian treated us at the end when problems occurred! He was unapologetic, RUDE and uncaring! When a manager or owner steps in to problem solve, they are suppose to listen and work with the client, he is the exact opposite! They are ok if you are just buying your off the rack tiling, but stay FAR away if you have CUSTOM orders, this company will take your money and not provide customer support when problems occur! read more

I am an interior designer and have worked on commercial and residential projects in New York and Los Angeles. I felt it very important to post this review to save a poor client from suffering the same experiences I have. Glendale Tile has failed on 3 fronts: 1) Integrity, 2) Customer Service and 3) Delivery. I placed a large order with them for a commercial project and I confirmed all of the material was in stock. Not only did they NOT have anything in stock when I expected it, they never called me to inform me, and when the installer picked up the material, they delivered damaged merchandise. When I called to complain, they delivered a lower standard (much cheaper) product as a replacement. Los Angeles is full of tile stores- do yourself a favor and shop with a company you can trust and depend on. Home Depot offers better customer service. read more

Store wasn't busy. 2 other groups getting helped. 2 employees looked at me a few times but none bothered to say hello or ask if I needed any help. One young ditz was on the phone. Can't recommend these guys highly enough. Serj worked with me to find octagonal and spanish tiles for my kitchen floor, as well as lovely cement tiles for the bathroom. He provided a number of different options, was very responsive via phone and email when I couldn't go to the shop during the work week to help with my selections, and continued to help me find grout (going so far as to finding a discontinued color to meet my needs.) This review came reluctantly, but we live in a "review society," so I wanted to share the actual experience. I have been doing business with Glendale Tile for at least seven years now, maybe longer. The salesman was very busy and working alone. It was Saturday and I arrived at 2:30pm with a contractor I was paying to be with me. I didn't receive help for at least fifteen minutes, they were understaffed, which didn't bother me and certainly didn't result in a lower review. I selected my tile, the order was taken and it was just at 3pm sharp when I paid. The staffer was in a panic. He started to run outside to make sure he could get the order from the warehouse next door. Apparently, the warehouse that fills the orders leaves right at 3pm and when I went outside, the gates were closed. Then the manager/owner/supervisor/whoever, reprimanded the salesperson in front of me for taking the order "right at 3pm." I explained to this person that I had been in the store earlier and had to wait. He still said to his salesman, "do not do this next time." This is not the American way of doing business. If you are open until 3pm, you take orders and fill them with a smile up to closing time. If someone places an order at 2:59pm, you fill the order with a smile, you don't get made at your salesman for doing his job and helping keep your doors open and lights turned on by making you a profit. More importantly, if you have a showroom that is open until 3pm accepting tile orders, you should have your warehouse open until 3:30pm to fill those orders. False economy to do it this way. Bad management, bad attitude. Fortunately for me, there are a zillion tile stores in California. I am SERIOUSLY considering changing vendors even though I have always referred people in the past for their good pricing and great service. Something has changed and it's not a good change. The management isn't my kind of people. Sad. read more

There were three girls just seating around and empty showroom, nobody even bothered to acknowledge us, we walked around looking for 2 specific things, which they had, and we were ready to buy. Since nobody approached us, smiled or said hello, i flagged down one of the girls that was strolling by us, again as if we don't exist, I asked if she can help us, she said ok with this not interested way, at least that's how she made us feeI. I asked the price of a specific item, she goes to check, came back with the price and quickly ran off, my wife was like, what just happened, did she just leave, she wanted to say something, complain, I said just forget it. We felt like we were inconveniencing them just being there. They all had this condescending, snotty little attitude, as if they're above you and you are nothing, we walked out. Drove a block up to another place, their competitor, the girl was super helpful and even remembered us from before, bought what we needed and got out. Don't even bother with this place, rude, attitude and overall horrible service. I mean we walk in and the girl is seating right in front of us and she didn't even care to look at us or say hi or anything, we are standing 3 feet away from her and looking at an item, she didn't bother to raise her head to acknowledge our presence. She was just seating there with this, I'm too good for you, attitude, really. Unlike on facebook, too. Horrible customer service skills, these girls should be replaced. Never will I go there again. read more

We spent about 30 minutes there browsing tiles. Beautiful showroom. We were never once asked if we needed any help or assistance. Found that strange because there were two sales women talking on their phones and they never once got up to help us or even make eye contact and smile and say hello. We went directly across the street to another tile store, was helped immediately and picked out some gorgeous tile. Ugh....they have a good selection and really cheap prices, but customer service is lacking. Ordered three different types of tile for a master bath remodel. They told us to expect two sets within a week and a third set within 6 weeks. Great! What happens instead. One set is discontinued and they can't find any replacement unless we pay twice the price, the other set takes 12 weeks instead of 6, and they short us a box on the only set that was in stock and then lie about it. read more

When I first walked in I thought the prices would be high since it's clean and elegant looking but they actually had better prices than a lot of the dumpier looking tile places in Glendale. We needed to finish our outdoor kitchen counters and were initially thinking tile. I stopped in the showroom and Sam showed us around the shop and we saw some really nice stone countertops that changed our mind. Sam came over to our house and brought samples and helpful advise. He provided a very reasonable estimate and was able to start work the following Monday. The job was finished the same week and it looks Amazing! much better than we could have ever imagined. I wish I had seen all of the negative reviews before I gave them my hard earned cash. Shopping here was like walking onto a used car lot. Prices were all over the board. Different employees quoted you different prices based on how much they thought you were willing to pay. Should have walked out when I started feeling uncomfortable with the sales tactics but decided to go ahead and place an order because of the large selection and the delivery dates I was promised. I paid them, was promised a certain delivery date and then didn't hear back from them. I had to call several time to follow up. Salesperson was never available and no one seemed to know what was going on with my order. My experience was very similar to all of the other negative ones posted here. The order was very late, short and had to be babysat by me every step of the way. My project ended up 2 months late strictly based on Glendale Tiles inability to deliver as promised. I have never done a single review on Yelp (negative or positive) but i was so disapointed by what happened at this that I felt that I owed a warning to other people. SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE! I bought my beautiful floor tiles from Glendale tile. I was initially assisted by a not-such-a-go-getter salesperson who's lack of assistance & interest left me w an order of 300+ square feet of WALL tiles for my kitchen FLOOR only to be discovered after my worker picked it up & delivered to my home. Enter Serj! When I went back to Glendale tile the next day to make arrangement to exchange tiles, Serj saved the day!! He was extremely apologetic for his co-worker's ineptness and made up for it 10-fold. He was sensitive to the fact that I was misguided in his store & directed me to a correct replacement. He understood that I had already used my worker to make the delivery once so he provided free delivery (& pick up) as soon as was convenient for me. I was satisfied at this point with his compensation but he didn't stop there... there was a difference in price in the replacement tiles & he comped me the difference for my trouble & frustration. Serj is a true professional, so polished, and knows a thing or 2 about customer service. Glendale tile caters to a high end clientele down to your basic clientele, like me... mine was not a high profile order but Serj made me feel like me & my little project mattered as much as anyone else's matters. Upon purchasing our house the first renovation was updating the fireplace. I spoke with multiple contractors to do the job and most recommended facing the fireplace with ledge stone from Glendale Tile. I met with Serj and went over different options and he was kind enough to let me take a few samples (different color options) to the house so my wife and I could make the final decision. After a quick 3 days, the stone we ordered from Serj arrived and the renovation began. After the second day my fireplace contractor said we needed more corner pieces than I had originally planned for because he was using them for inside and outside edges. Serj came to the rescue and got them into the store same day! I couldn't have gotten the project completed on time if it wasn't for Serj and Glendale Tile!
