I am finishing a big remodel of my home. I love tile and have shopped at all the stores... but I kept finding myself coming back to Superior Tile. Not only do they have nearly everything that every other store has, but also variations and often cheaper. Shopping for tile can be overwhelming. I normally don't like working with sales people since I know what I want - but that was until I met Yasser at Superior Tile. Immediately Yasser knew what I was going for and started to show me appropriate options. He has a deep understanding of what the store offers and showed me options that fit my style. Because he's a designer (and brilliant artist!) too, he was able to make a daunting shopping trip into a quick decision trip. If you're going to Superior Tile, I highly recommend working with Yasser - I have no doubt his colleagues are good too - but I continue to have a great experience with Yasser from shopping to communications to delivery to follow up. He's fantastic! And finally, tile stores often give me a headache, too disorganized and overwhelming with too many options. Superior Tile has just remodeled their showroom, they did a fantastic job of removing the clutter and made shopping for tile much more enjoyable. I think other tile stores are going to copy their new layout just like other competing computer stores copied the Apple Store. read more

Now called Tile Decor - they helped me out with a project and had my material quickly and better priced than the competitors. Yasser went above and beyond when we needed additional tiles, always reachable and super nice to work with! read more

I'm exploring a lot of different tile places to remodel. My bathrooms and kitchen and I found superior tile is amazing with many different options. I came here on a Sunday an hour before they close unfortunately I needed more time so I'm gonna have to come back again . I found street parking right out front, which was very easy on a Sunday, They are not open on Saturdays , and I'm sure during the week it's a little bit more difficult since it's such a busy area. read more

Get your tile somewhere else! I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Araz. She ordered the wrong bathroom floor tile as well as ordered the wrong amount. When the tile was delivered she wouldn't respond to my calls or my text messages. I had to get my contractor to reach out to her to fix the issues. Unfortunately even the contractor reaching out didn't solve the issue because she then ordered the wrong tile AGAIN! Finally the warehouse manager took matters into his own hands and we were able to figure out what the problem was -- it was ARAZ! Even though I sent her photos of the tile we had picked out and though we ordered, she kept ordering the wrong tile. She doesn't care about the customers or doing her job correctly. The only reason I am giving Superior Tile two stars is because I love the tile we picked out and the warehouse manager was amazing. He was super responsive, very apologetic and even personally delivered the correct tile on his day off. He is 1000% more professional the Araz ever could be. read more

If you come here, ask for Yasser. You will be in great hands. He's kind, knowledgable, and had such an incredible eye for design. We are so happy with how our tiles turned out in our new home. We showed him photos of what we were looking for and he worked well within our price range. Making sure that the pieces we chose would have the look and feel we wanted and also the durability we needed. Yasser patiently showed us many different combinations of tiles, always with a great attitude, and never put any pressure us. We came back repeatedly because we trusted him and felt he genuinely just wanted to help people find the right pieces. Renovations can be very stressful, but Yasser treated us like we were clients on HGTV and made the experience very enjoyable. Thank you so much Yasser! read more

Costumer service not good, not good selection. Much better options .. don't recommend Went to a bunch of stores during my journey and unfortunately this store was really not up to par A lady named Mayan Helped me . She seems very un interested in her work, not passionate, could really care less, doesn't seem to have a eye for tile or any sort of input , I felt like I was being asked for my order at McDonald's like "ok so what u want " They basically had nothing I wanted so she said she could order samples of everything. I said OK great and she said she's gonna take care of it... She then followed up with me an entire week later to tell me I need to pay for shipping of samples ( her shipping price for sample was 10 X more other stores) .. I confirmed with her to only get the samples that don't need shipping charge Waited and waited never heard from her again No follow up No nothing Like hello did my samples arrive ? Do they even want our biz? I guess not. This showed me to stay away and that it just be a beg of a problematic experience with that So glad I didn't buy from them They could've had a 40 K order but their loss Save your self time and go somewhere else read more

Worked with Yasser. He was patient and worked with me and my partner to find the right items for my home renovation. We had an idea of what we were looking for, and Yasser was key in making our vision come to life. The selection at the store was nice, but truly folks like Yasser make or break the experience. If you do decide to shop at Superior Tile, you can't go wrong with him, he'll go above and beyond to make sure your vision is achieved. read more

I've been using SuperiorTile since 2015, exclusively with their rep Araz who is one of the most knowledgeable tile and finish supervisors I've met. (I'm sure the other reps are stellar, I just have only worked with her.) I'm a licensed General Contractor of a company that focuses on kitchens and bathrooms, so I very much care about to whom I bring my clients, both for outstanding service and design advice. They've always treated me and my clients with care. They've never once pressured any of my clients to make a big decision on the spot and don't push to order everything needlessly at once. To date, I've not once had a customer feel their finishes were the wrong choice; only that they're more beautiful fully installed in their kitchens or bathroom. I often use the SuperiorTile website to show what's out there -- they have a nice feature in an area called "get inspired" where you can point and click to locate the various items you need in stock per the photo. Much more efficient than building a Pinterest and wondering why you can't actually find the finishes you admire. Yes, like any other commodity, you can find stores cheaper down the street... or cheaper knockoff versions of the caliber Superior offers to be found... Whatever you might(!) save from going to 3-5 shops to get what you need, you save in time and good advice from reps who work clients that appreciate aesthetic. Pro tip: Superior is one of the LARGEST showrooms in the Valley! I'm not sure if it's appreciated just how many options they have on their floor. If you go in without scheduling an appointment with a rep, you may feel slightly overwhelmed. These reps are very busy and have to deal with many moving parts-- so my recommendation is don't walk in to the shop without an appointment. Call ahead. Book an appointment; the best reps are often 3-5 days booked out. Attached are just a few assortments of kitchen or bathroom combinations I've selected with Araz and my clients together. Hope they inspire you to dream big too! read more

We ordered wood floors in June and after a few days we were told the quantity we ordered wasn't available, we would need to wait 6-8 weeks for a new batch. After 4 months they were finally delivered. When we ordered the floors , we also weren't reminded that the sample was mounted on a piece of wood, so when we planned the subfloors , we were off around a quarter inch. We had to spend another $1,000 to add more subfloor so all our thresholds would line up. After we laid the floors we were 150 feet off (our fault), we ordered more and since we were in a rush, we were told we could pick the floors up at the vendor. My husband drove an hour only to find out they wouldn't release them until they received the check. We are not happy and will never use this company again. read more

Yasser, Sales Designer, was very friendly, courteous and attentive to our concerns. Remodeled two bathrooms and he helped with what was important to us in non-slip tile flooring and shower flooring. Helped us in matching them with the walls, etc. Yasser made sure we got our orders in a timely fashion and was always available to us if we needed to make changes or needed other accessory pieces. Very knowledgeable and straight-forward in our dealings. Would recommend working with Yasser. We will if need anymore tile work. Sasaki Family read more

Recently visited Superior Tile on Laurel Canyon in North Hollywood. The Showroom was fantastic with an expansive inventory of tiles on display and the ability to view other tile options online. The bonus of our visit was working with Joey! Joey was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and resourceful in identifying product options that meet our needs. We have visited several tile stores, and only Joey at Superior Tile came up with a solution that works for our project. Our experience there with Joey has been very productive and impressive. read more

A fine selection of tile, but severely lacking in the customer service department. We dealt with an absolutely indifferent saleswoman from day 1, who was unwilling to make the slightest effort to assist two people who clearly were not expert tile buyers. After the job was done, she was completely disinterested in gaining our repeat business. When I do my next remodeling job, choosing a different tile supplier will be the first and easiest decision to make. Tile is tile-- this is entirely a service business. read more

Update: After seeing this review, Superior Tile did try to work with me to try and address Issue #1 below. We were actually very close to getting Issue #1 resolved and I give them credit for trying to remedy the situation. However, Rachel, the Superior Tile manager, said the only way I would get my refund back is if I took down any traces of this review existing at all. It felt like she was trying to buy my silence with money. I didn't appreciate the attempt to manipulate how the store is perceived as I feel withholding this info from future consumers is not honest. At this point, even my own renovation company said they're going to cut ties with Superior Tiles due to their shoddy customer service. 1) Discrepancy in order requested and invoice: My contractor asked Araz at Superior Tile to put in an order for 1,200 sq ft flooring that included extra/leftover flooring; Araz puts in an order for almost 1,400; which led me to have 7 boxes of extra flooring, 6 of which were unopened and unused 2) Lackluster customer service: I returned to Superior Tile to finish placing an order, and Araz helped me for 5 minutes, before leaving me to help another customer and never came back to help me. I left the store with no decision made and feeling completely lost and unguided 3) Purchase at your own risk: This is an aggregator of different brands versus if you go to the source, so they're going to upcharge everything. For example, if you go to West Hollywood Emser Tile store, the prices will be cheaper and the customer service is A+ because it's the actual retail brand showroom 4) This store lives in the stone age: if you ask to pay via online website payment, they make you pay an additional cost to process the online payment (huh? It's 2021) read more

Superior Tile - 6 extra boxes of flooring- completely unnecessary and wasting customer's money - Building Supplies Near Me - North Hollywood, California

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! I mean it. You will thank me later. 1. No Clear Refund Policy I paid about half the price for my order the first day and later that day I changed my mind and called for refund. Araz, our sales, agreed and asked our address for check. We sent it in email and she didn't reply, and I followed up next day, still no reply. I asked my contractor's help, she told my contractor I would get my check next Monday or Tuesday. But SHE LIED. I waited till next Thursday (10 days after we asked for refund) to make a call to confirm. First, it's really hard to get to her, I called several different numbers to finally get to her. What's worse, they didn't even process my refund because their accountant was not in the office since then. I mean, why do I have to accommodate their accountant's work schedule??? She promised to give me an update by end of the day, but as you can guess, no call. Next day, I couldn't reach her again and had to call several different numbers and finally get her attention by calling her 8 times in 5 mins. As soon as she picked up, she complained about why I made so many calls. Are you kidding me? Who wants to spend that much time making calls if you can just do your job as you promised? And again, she promised she would fix it and give me an update next Monday. And YES, as you can guess, another lie. Lies after lies. At this point, I am thankful I choose not to do business with this place as they never keep their promises. Honestly, I don't even know if I can get my money back even though they promise it's not an issue. They are just full of lies. Best of luck if you are trying to get your money back. 2. Worst customer service Araz was the one helping us. We knew nothing about tiles and countertops, but she was indifferent and not helpful, even had an attitude towards us. She seemed annoyed by our questions. I was confused. Maybe because we were not a big business. And I can confirm to one of the comments here, we only need 288 sqft of tiles and she quoted us for 388 sqft. Maybe it's a typo... or actually not. Who knows. 3. Very pricey Although they said they had best prices, that's not true. You can easily find something cheaper for the same quality. Don't get fooled. I would give this place zero star if I could. read more

I love Superior Tile because there are many different tiles in many different styles. There are a high variety of designs and colors which is what makes them stand out compared to the other stores. Araz was a big help, she helped us pick the right tile that would make our home unique and stand out. We will come back here very shorty since Ihave started our next project; and I chose them again because they make everything easy, take care of anything, and there are no troubles or difficulties in the work they do. All we had to do was pick the tile we liked. read more

We had such a great experience here with Yassir as our sales rep. Not only did he help us with design ideas - he really embraced our style and pushed us to look further - and he was easy to reach for samples and orders. He also was so wonderful with our 3 littles, making it so much less stressful to bring them with us!! (And we ere there a lot...) The selection was full of modern and classic options and we were able to get samples ordered quickly if they didn't have a display option available in store. I highly recommend Superior Tile - and make sure to ask for Yassir, he's the best! read more

We went to Superior Tile at the insistence of our project manager who assured us that he gets a discount here that would save us money. He most likely gets a kickback, because we didn't notice any substantial discount compared to other tile stores we've patronized. For such a large showroom, their selection isn't impressive. The salesman was a bit condescending, scoffing at design ideas I expressed (traditional designs taken from photos in various reputable sources). Sales 101: Condescension does not create sales & promote business. If you disagree with the customer, employ tactful methods to support your case. The salesman was communicative & efficient; however, there are much better tile stores with much better customer service that deserve your business. read more

Superior tile, and specifically Araz, were suggested to us by our contractor to purchase tiles for our total remodel. Araz was amazing during the whole process. From the first meeting she walked us through the showroom and suggested different tiles and materials for each area. She has an amazing eye for the design and is very up to date with what is more trendy and what will look better in each room. She helped us pick tiles for our fireplace, 2 bathrooms, and kitchen backsplash, and we havent got anything but compliments. I have already recommended her to 2 of my friends who are thinking of remodeling. read more

Everyone at Superior is so helpful and knowledgable, but my big shout-out goes to Araz. As a designer working mainly in kitchen and bathroom remodels, I need access to a LOT of tile and countertop selections. Not only does Superior have one of the best (if not THE best) showrooms in LA, but Araz is always so thoughtful in her responses and helps me curate the most stunning looks. At this point in my career, I hardly consider going anywhere other than Araz at Superior - she's nothing short of amazing. That said, I have also worked with Joey and Jordan and they're both incredible and helpful too! If you work with any of these 3 you are in good hands. And Kim at the front desk is super helpful too! read more

I want to shout out LUCA. He helped me and he was so awesome. His vibe is perfect. Friendly and helpful but not overbearing. I can't say enough wonderful things about Superior. They were exactly what I was looking for. They have a huge showroom with everything that I needed for my house- from countertops, to flooring and bathroom tiles. It was literally a one stop shop for me and their customer service is absolutely incredible. I had a young lady named Estee who helped me from the minute I walked in with such understanding and patience. If we can provide ZERO stars we would mostly for the Manager, Rachel ( if thats even her name since they were cagey about sharing it) that provided a terrible customer service experience. It's also unethical business practice to verbally tell customers one thing about their return policy and completely disregarding their word. In reading several reviews, Superior tile and Rachel seems to have a consistent reputation about poor customer service so not sure why she is still in a position to make these calls. The experience started positive where Jordan was extremely knowledgable and helpful with recommending tile selections. After multiple visits, we've bought edge frames for our bathroom tiles from Mario. We've hesitated with this decision after we were told the restocking fee is 30%. We try to avoid purchases with limited flexibility with returns. I've trusted their judgement after they advised with the recommended size. We've found out afterwards that the edge tile size was incorrect and asked for flexibility with the restocking fee. Not only did they refuse to work with us on the 30% restocking fee, Mario stated that the Manager, Rachel will not refund ANY amount, citing that wasn't their return policy written on the receipt and they will only allow a full credit. We've asked to speak to Rachel several times, mentioning that we want the store to take accountability for expressing we were able to return these items. To our surprise, we were told Rachel was too busy to speak to us within the full week of going back and forth. We definitely won't be back and caution customers to be careful when working with a business that doesn't stand by their word. There are a handful of other tile and bathroom accessory retailers nearby that are more trustworthy. Read the rest of the reviews! read more
