Our project: $70k for cabinets & stone install in kitchen, kitchenette, & laundry room. MTD is a mess. It took them 7 months to finish a kitchenette and laundry install and six months for a kitchen install. Wrong materials delivered multiple times, broken or wrong cabinets/drawers/stone installed multiple times, and a pain to get anything fixed or finished. Communication is awful and customer service is worse. Highly recommend you go anywhere else. read more

We remodeled our kitchen cabinets and countertops through MTD 6 months ago and it was a wonderful experience throughout, largely in part to Rhochie who was very helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive throughout the process. We have not had any issues with the quality of the build or cabinets thus far. Rhochie came up with a beautiful design, made adjustments based on our feedback, and helped us when we encountered inevitable hiccups along the way. The entire remodel from demo to completion took just over a month, which considering that much of that was waiting for items to arrive, was very efficient compared to other time estimates we received from other cabinetry companies. I have recommended their services to several of my neighbors and colleagues and can say that if you are able to work with Rhochie, you can expect a smooth and professional renovation/build. read more

Start with the positives. Nick is a nice guy and trys his best. Negatives 1.They want you to PAY IN FULL before delivery. Since they have have all your money, scheduling becomes secondary. It has been 2 months since delivery and the start of Install and still don't have proper working cabinets. 2. Their work is bad, the quality is bad. THE PRICES ARE SO EXPENSIVE for the they installed. The don't line up, some stick out. Worst of all, My cabinets DON'T WORK. They don't push open and other get stuck. Installers have struggled to show me how to use them. If the installers are struggling, how will be if I use them. So, if you want to waste your time, your money work with MTD KITCHEN. read more

However, I wish them well but have already started the process with another vendor. --- original review--- Waited 20 mins after my appointment time of 2pm with Abraham and left. Avoid this place. Why personally call me, schedule an appointment and not service me when I get there? The owner told Abraham I was there and he didn't acknowledge me. The couple he was waiting hand and foot for glared at me. I'm a young female and I'm assuming they'd rather help couples over me because they'd make "more money" off of them. Jokes on you, I'm the easiest customer you could've dealt with. I already knew what I wanted and was ready to pay today. The other customers schmooze and argue about the price. You can keep those customers. I will take my business to Cabinet City in the SGV instead. I recommend everyone else do the same. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. We started the kitchen project with MTD kitchen October 2021. 1 year and 2 months later they had yet to complete their job. We had reached out multiple times. Had given them the option of paying us to have another company finish or complete their job. They wanted to pay us very little which would not cover the cost to have someone else complete the job they should have finished. We got a lawyer who sent Ernie a letter and the payment was made to us shortly after. We had our top of the line microwave break down on us and had the tech come out today and fix it. He stated the microwave would not have broke had the microwave been placed correctly so that the constant movement didn't damage it. The build of our entire house was faster than MTD kitchen trying to build our kitchen. It was very difficult to say the least working with Ernie and Rhochie. It's a huge red flag when a company asks you for payment up front. Do yourself a favor and save yourself stress, time and a headache and go with a different company. read more

Superb workmanship! From the initial designing stage (Rhochie) to the installation of cabinets (Juan Carlos Jr. & Sr.) and countertops (2 persons), the main people responsible for this project and people behind the scene (Carlos, Bobby & Nenita) really delivered a 5-star rating finished product. Rhochie was impressive in helping us design a functional laundry, pantry, and coffee bar areas in our house. She quickly understood what we had in mind and immediately designed a functional layout in just a few minutes, including adding a hanging rod in the laundry, corner utility cabinet, and accessible storage for bottled water cases. To top it all, she made it possible for us to have a coffee bar, which was dismissed by other cabinet makers we met due to the tight corner space. She's really a go-getter and will do what it takes to deliver what's best for her customers. Juan Carlos Jr. and Sr. were exceptional in the installation of our cabinets. Rain or no rain, they meticulously installed our cabinets in a timely manner. They never hesitated when asked to slightly deviate from the original design, e.g. adjusting shelves, changing hardware location, etc. They are highly organized and kept the premises clean each day they left our house. Apparently, they both take pride on their work, as they provided an outstanding workmanship to deliver 100% customer satisfaction. Finally, the installers for our beautiful quartz stone countertops have done an excellent job too, despite leaving a small chip on our wall during the move of the heavy stone, which was later fixed by our General Contractor. We couldn't ask for anything more, as the cabinets and countertops for our pantry, laundry, and coffee bar were done to our utmost expectation. MTD may be a bit pricey than other cabinet makers, but they absolutely have the manpower (at least the crew assigned to our project) to deliver high quality work! read more

Absolutely bait and switch.. sent many drawings but delivered something completely different. They also totally screwed up the kitchen counter and backsplash.. they only said "we will correct it". After months of continued BS, we had enough.. Tried to get moneys back for the bait and switch and kitchen countertop and backsplash.. they refreshed to refund. Now will be up to courts If anyone has the same experience, I have started discussions with lawyers for a class action to get them to repay all of the impacted customers!! Just look at the pictures!!! So don't trust these people on anything.. and to make matters worse, they require full payment BEFORE starting anything!!! read more

I had a wonderful experience designing a lot of cabinetry and countertops with Avi, the sales rep at MTD. I cannot say enough positive things about him. He was budget conscious, trustworthy, patient, and responsive to our needs. The end result was perfect and everything I had hoped it would be. The process to get to the end was not without some stress and bumps along the way as any massive installation is. Overall, the job did get done and it is everything we hoped it would be and more. Now about a year later - we did have some issues with a couple cabinets. I was very pleased to see MTD step up and completely replace at no cost proving this is not the quality standard they dRuba was an excellent customer advocate and helped tie up any loose ends and ensure this was done to our full satisfaction. That is all you can ask for. My cabinets are the first thing people comment on in our house and absolutely beautifully done. I was very pleased at the final product being high quality and MTD being a trust worthy partner and making any issues that arise right- even years later. We interviewed multiple cabinet manufactures before starting our home remodel. We chose MTD kitchen and were extremely happy with the process and final product. Ask for Travis to do your design, and Alex for the counters and flooring. They are the best. Very patient and extremely knowledgeable and listen to what you need vs trying to up sale you. We were so happy we had Travis also design our bathroom and bedroom closet cabinet system. The MTD product is very high quality and built to last. Felipe what you are stating is incorrect. I told Ernie and Ruba that I had my 5th baby and that is why I could NOT have them paint on site! I did NOT want my newborn to be exposed to the chemicals! The times I cancelled was because I had a doctors appt because I was considered high risk at the time! The cabinets that were given back to your cabinetry guy were ones that were painted, I sent Ernie pictures time and time again backing up my claim. Even so these cabinets have been painted why is the paint chipping on them, when only having them in my home for 2 and half years. Yes, we are active family but how do they chip this badly in 2 and half years is beyond me? Underneath my sink, i have normal wear and tear like anyone else. Please advise why the cabinets are chipping like that after only 2 and half years? Also Ernie promised to come paint underneath my sink, but then decided my claim was DONE and would NOT keep his word, how is that fair to me? As mentioned to Ernie I am trying to resolve this but if it can NOT be resolved I will talk to a lawyer about my options. I am upset my cabinets are so badly chipping after 2 and half years! read more

If I could post this with giving it no stars, I would! After purchasing our first property, we found MTD and were excited to get our kitchen remodeled. Unfortunately, the promises and expectations set initially were not met. We were told that given the smaller size of our kitchen our project would take about three weeks from start to finish. This was back in January. It is now October, and our kitchen still needs to be completed. The long list of contributing factors is as follows: We placed a downpayment after approving the design and providing the appliance dimensions/model numbers for the kitchen. The project manager we were working with set up the installation and all seemed well. They came, installed and left within a day and a half. The next day the appliances were delivered and we discovered that the section where the refrigerator was supposed to go was mis-measured by 3 inches, preventing our fridge from fitting. This was the start of the long list of things that have since gone wrong. After contacting Nanita, who was the point person at the time, we waited another three weeks without being able to access our fridge for the installer to come and reinstall the newly ordered cabinets, and wait for the countertop/backsplash people to trim our stone. One of the cabinet doors was delivered cracked, and had to be replaced, (another 2 weeks delay) plus the installer refused to stay and finish at least installing everything else as it was "his birthday weekend" and he "had better plans." He stated that someone would come and finish the rest. After the installer left, we noticed the bottom of the cabinets he cut were jagged, and burned from the wrong tool he had used trying to rush. After having to wait another few weeks, Nanita finally scheduled Stephanie to come in without telling her she was supposed to come in. She came by to only tell us she had scheduled another job and that she would have to leave. We called Nanita again, and asked when this project would be taken care of, to only get the runaround. Our initial designer left MTD and we were directed to contact Ernie who seemed like he was eager to help, only to leave us hanging for weeks on end before returning our emails. The project is still not done, as when they came to cover up the burn marks left by the installer, they punched through one of the cabinets cracking the surface. All of these concerns were brought to his attention, and aside from the comment that they do jobs that are 50-60k jobs, ours while small was done right, which it wasn't. Given the time off we took from work, and the constant run-around to now a damaged kitchen, we are beyond unsatisfied with MTD and the work that they did on our project. It is now three weeks since we heard from Ernie, who has yet to respond to our last email. RUN, don't walk away from this horrific company. -- Glenoaks/Pacoima Project read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting MTD kitchen to purchase tiles for my bathroom renovation, and my experience was exceptional. Alex was extremely knowledgeable. I found tiles that I really liked for my bathroom floor, and Alex helped me to select shower wall tiles that get along very well with the floor tiles. I chose to trust his recommendation and my bathroom turned out to be beautiful! He also gave me advice on how to keep my marble shower floor like new by using natural stone sealer. We first went to MTD in March to have them help design a kitchen for a home we had just purchased. By April we had placed a 10% deposit for our very large kitchen. In early June we had ordered and paid for 3 slabs for our countertops and backsplashes. We were then told that the finish we had ordered for part of the cabinets was not available. We then had to scramble to find a finish that worked with the countertopS. We ordered and paid for our kitchen appliances. By July we were waiting for MTD to come back to us for the 70% and give us a delivery date. They did not come back and when they did they said it would be a 6 week delivery not the 3 to 4 week delivery set forth in the contract. We finally sat down with them in August and settled on a September 3 delivery (and payment of the final 20%) and installation starting September 6 taking 3 to 4 days. it is now 6 weeks later and installation is not complete. I don't know when they are coming back or when they will finish. I cannot install the countertops until the cabinets are finished. I can't install the oven, sink, dishwasher, microwave or refrigerator until the countertops are in. We could not wait any longer and moved in two days ago. I bought my quartz kitchen counters from MTD. They recommended a superb craftsman/installer, Arthur from Platinum Stoneworks. Alex at MTD got the slabs two days after I ordered them, Arthur picked them up from him and came to install. He demoed my old counters and hauled away on a Wednesday (only took 3 hours) and arrived THE NEXT MORNING with perfectly fitting gorgeous counters which he installed in about three hours as well. I am very happy with the service from MTD and they have a lovely selection of tiles and surfaces and floor tiles. I will use them again. read more
