The installer they sent was a PRO - they finished the install in one day and I didn't have to oversee anything. We so appreciate MTD's great design, installation, and maintenance of our kitchen cabinets. The cabinets are high quality and look great and MTD stands behind their work. A few years after installation, one of the hinges broke on our cabinet door and it got stuck when closing. I had my kitchen cabinets installed 6 years ago and was having problems with hinges. One was broken with a panel resting on top of the panel below (dangerous) and another was coming loose. Both hinges holding very heavy door panels. I was concerned since my kitchen was out of warranty that we would not receive service which is what I was told when I spoke to Nenita previously. When I called again they responded within a reasonable amount of time scheduling a technician within a week. When he arrived he was very knowledgeable and understanding of the problem. He was able to repair one hinge and adjust another and ended up checking all of the other doors and hinges and showed me what he had done. After all he did not charge me because he didn't need to order new parts. I was quite pleased with the company's new commitment to their customers. read more

I had the most horrible experience with MTD, a simple project installing cabinet in bathroom and vanity has been taken more than 3 month and they still can get it right, wrong parts, wrong measurements and lots of excuses but job even now as I am writing this review is not completed .... Oh and they made sure that they will be paid 90% in advance. I don't recommend doing business with MTD, I will call my American Express and dispute the charge today and call another company to start this 3,000$ project with another company. read more

Very disappointing experience. I'm doing a complete kitchen remodel and called their North Hollywood location in advance asking if they carry the J&K cabinet line. The young man that answered the phone said they have many on display from that manufacturer. Sounded good so far so I asked if it's better to make an appointment since I really don't have time to waste. He said no just come in. After a 45 commute later, I walked in with employees just on cell phones texting or too busy to even acknowledge whether I needed help. I was told the 'designers' were busy and I should have made an appointment. I was outraged. Their cabinet displays were a mess. Nothing labeled, no signage, just random cabinets thrown in with no clear description of their price point or manufacturer that makes them. I was fooled into thinking the pictures on their website were actually from their actual showroom. They were not! All fake pictures. The actual experience at the store was a complete mess. Im only giving two stars because the manager stepped in after I complained and apologized for the experience. He said they will be redoing the showroom soon but I think the bigger problem is how unhelpful the showroom's staff were. This visit was a complete waste of time. Ended up going to Cabinet City and the experience was like night and day. Excellent showroom with everything clearly labeled and priced in a manner which made cabinet shopping super easy. These MTD positive reviews are either fake or referring to their Anaheim location. Apart from the disorganized showroom, the bigger issue is how unhelpful the workers were here. They weren't trained in their product line nor how to properly assist customers. My experience was totally negative and I wouldn't recommend this location until they seriously overhaul their operation and showroom. read more

While I did get a phone call from MTD after my initial review, and they sent someone to adjust the hinges, they still haven't fixed the warped cabinets, and had the audacity to tell me it had been 5 years so it's normal wear and tear!!! First, let me tell you, since adjusting the hinges, my drawers and cupboards don't soft close. They stop before closing and have to be literally pushed closes - not soft closing. Second, I have been dealing with the warped doors since 2019, 2 years after installation. Not 5 years. Nothing has been done to resolve the issue since 2019. I have all the correspondence since 2019. Second, since when is warping normal wear and tear EVER???? If I would have known it's normal for their cabinets to warp after 5 years (2 really, but let's just go with the representative stating it's now been 5 years so it's normal) I would have absolutely, unequivocally shopped elsewhere. So on top of everything else BEWARE!!! They acknowledge warping of cabinet doors is normal wear and tear!!!! read more

The staff at MTD did a great job at overseeing my kitchen renovation. Everything was performed on time and budget. Also, everyone was friendly and professional. Rhochie was accommodating and easy to work with on the planning and material selection. The final kitchen looked exactly like the renders she produced. Jericho kept me up to date when the tiles I ordered were available for pick-up. He also had a great eye in terms of tile recommendations. The cabinets arrived at the exact date and time that were specified. There was no waiting around, and the guys quickly unloaded the truck and brought all the cabinet boxes up to my condo. Steven and Nick were able to install the cabinets in record time. When it came time to make an adjustment, they had no complaints and just took care of the matter. After visiting several kitchen remodeling stores to get ideas, I came across the MTD Kitchen store while browsing the internet. Their site gallery had the kind of kitchen style I wanted. I called the store and made an appointment with one of their designers, Rochie Patton. We clicked on the first meeting. She was full of great ideas about my project and she impressed me with her knowledge about kitchen cabinetry. My partner and I met with her several times over the next several weeks. She was always respectful our ideas and while still interjecting with her suggestions. My partner is a designer and we also ran our ideas by two other designer friends. We all liked the tastes and sensibilities that Rochie brought to the table. After the designs were final and agreed on the price quote we finalized with MTD. Since we chose custom cabinets, we had to wait 2 months from start to finish. Rochie always responded when I called her and updated me on the projected delivery date. The kitchen was installed by their Senior installer Simmery. I could not ask for a better installer. Simmery was very knowledgeable and skillful in cabinetry installation. He is such an artist who aims for perfection in his works. If a piece was not perfectly sized, he wouldn't put it in and instead ordered a replacement. While we had a few delays, in that regard, overall we felt it was worth the wait. Arlene whose the MTD project Coordinator did a great job in coordinating the schedule. She makes sure that all supplies and deliverable are delivered. We are very happy with the final outcome and highly recommend Rochie Patton from MTD to be your designer. I also want to make a special mention to Danny Raj , our general contractor who made the construction of the project a reality. He and his crew did a fantastic job. read more

Honestly, it took a lot out of me to write this review because I am an extremely patient human being and don't wish to bring anyones business down. MTD was highly recommended to my husband and I. Of course we went with our recommendations and decided to hire MTD back in November of 2020. My husband and I initially met with a designer who did a fantastic job at designing what was to be our dream kitchen. The design was wonderful however the execution was horrendous. The kitchen was supposed to be installed and completed by December 2020. We are now mid April 2021 and my kitchen is still not complete! I understand that we are in a pandemic and things take a rather long time to arrive however that was not the case in our situation. To start off... Almost every single kitchen cabinet had either a scratch, dent, color mismatch or some type of damage. Not to mention the interiors of the cabinetry. I had sent countless images to Nanita, Ernie and the designer to help them see what was going on in my kitchen. They tried to replace a few cabinets which was fine but other issues were still existent. I had paid for custom refrigerator panel doors and upon the initial installation the installer mentioned that the panels were incorrect and different panels were to be made for my refrigerator. Shortly after the panels were picked up from my home and taken back to the company. A few weeks after the same panels arrived at my home. The panels were extremely damaged from being placed outside. When seeing the panels return I instantly told the delivery man that I will not accept these panels. These were the initial panels that had arrived at my home and were placed outside resulting in various damages. Not to mention, I was told that they were the incorrect panels. He understood and took the panels back. A couple weeks later the same panels which were damaged arrived at my doorstep's yet again. I instantly took pictures and sent over the pictures to MTD to let them know that this is the same exact panels that they had tried to give me the last time around which were supposedly incorrect an damaged. I received an apology and they came to pick up the panels yet again. Now the third time, the panels arrived and at this point the delivery man was embarrassed to show them to me because they were yet again the same panels. I was furious I went ahead and contacted MTD and told them that they needed to resolve this matter. It had been months since we had a panel on our refrigerator doors and we were unable to open and close our refrigerator. Imagine not being able to open and close your refrigerator with three little ones at home. Not an ideal situation. Finally, they installed the damaged broken and cracked panels temporarily until they try to resolve the matter. Like I said, it is mid April now and I still don't have my refrigerator panel doors. Every time a member of MTD showed up at my home they would mention how they couldn't believe how bad things had gotten in my kitchen. Not to mention I was told by an MTD designer that I had a case of bad luck. I can't tell you how many of them were even embarrassed. I continued to give them a chance. I Left various messages to speak to the owner of the company or somebody in a higher position to get the matter resolved and nothing came forward from that. Instead, after 3 months the managing designer got in contact with me. After paying nearly $17,000 I am completely unsatisfied with my damaged and incomplete kitchen! I wish for you guys to come in and please remove this kitchen so I can go to another company that can provide me with a proper kitchen that is not damaged and is all the same color and finish! You guys were very quick to collect a full payment upfront but now that I am stuck with this damage kitchen it seems as though I am getting a continuous run around. -Rita M. read more

It's been a year and within this year my cabinets have completely fallen apart. The doors fell off the lazy Susan, the drawers to hold my pots fell out of the cabinet because of the cheap way they attached them and the material of the cabinets. They came to look and 'fix' and the suggestion was to put less pots in my cabinets. I have spent hundreds of dollars on handymen coming to try to fix this junk and no one can, my only option is to get all new cabinets. In under a year. I do understand that the cabinets are not made by MTD If I knew what company that was I'd review them as well, but the way they were installed was also shoddy. I walked in here for some tiles for the bathroom floor, and walked out with a brand new kitchen. They have the best selection of the 10 or so places I've visited in the valley, and have very competitive pricing. Not only that, but they sell everything(cabinets, countertops, flooring) and do their own installation. Turnaround time is very fast, I had Ronnie come to my house to do a free estimate/measurements on a Wednesday, and by the next Tuesday he had a team there installing cabinets. I'm extremely pleased with my overall experience at MTD. Several months ago I ordered tile for my remodeling project. My contractor picked up the materials, but never confirmed the quantity. As the start of the project got delayed due to COVID, the materials sat waiting. Unfortunately, it appears that the contractor received less than the quantity ordered. Upon contacting our original salesperson Alex, he promised to see what he could do. Given the fact we had no proof of the discrepancy and the fact it has been several months, I wasn't expecting much. However, to my great surprise, Alex spoke to the owner who not only promised to get us the missing tiles, but would have them shipped overnight at no charge. Superb customer service like this is hard to find these days, but MTD went well above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommended MTD and will using them for my future projects. read more
