By far the worst place you can shop for anything tile related. I've been cheated, hustled and lied too by this company. Don't even try to call these people and reason with them they truly don't care. I purchased a pretty large amount of thin-set and AFTER I made the purchase I was told I cannot return exchange or get store credit for the items l've purchased. Come find out I was going to be charged $22.99 a bag when I searched the product online I found it much cheaper so I showed the worker the prices and she cut the price to $19.99 which was great thank you but come on. I should've walked away and rescheduled my tile guys for a later day when the worker herself said I should go somewhere else because of how over priced they were, but I couldn't reschedule and I needed to get the project done asap. I called another tile store just for laughs and they said they were selling each bag for $13.50 a bag and that they accept returns. Hands down, the best tile, marble, granite selection in the county! I was looking for a specific stone for my new kitchen and I went to all of the specialty stores in the area. None of them had anything close to what I wanted. I heard about Beginyan's through a friend and decided to give them a chance. As a customer of many years spending thousands of dollars at this establishment for various projects, I was extremely disappointed at the behavior of the retired owner's wife, Mrs. Begenian. Her rude, aggressive and disrespectful tone and behavior towards me today was quiet disappointing, when her staff were informed of the faulty & damaged inventory I had been sold, costing me additional replacement tile, installation labor and time. It is nice to see immigrants from other parts of the world succeeding in the US as the owners of this store have. But no matter how highly Mrs. Begenian may consider herself, in this part of the world it is not customary to be disrespectful to customers. Even the reaction of the employees made it clear that her conduct today was nothing new. Although the staff and the adult children running this business have been generally friendly, the behavior of Mrs. Begenian senior today, was even beneath a common street walker. We were searching for countertops for our kitchen remodel and this place had lots of reviews so we tried going there. We were just starting our search and did not know what we wanted, granite or quartz or prefab quartz. They have a good selection of all three and a big showroom of tile and backsplash tile. So we found a granite we loved but we were torn on if we wanted Quartz or not. So they gave us an unbeatable price for 2 slabs but we didn't not commit because we were not sure what we wanted yet. After looking more places we finally decided we wanted granite. We went back to beginyans and the price went up $400. We were puzzled that they would not give us the same price since we made the effort with our two kids to come an hour drive to their shop and we were ready to buy that day???? My husband was so puzzled that he just wanted to leave. So we left. After thinking about it more I told my husband I want to just go ahead and buy it at the higher price. So I went back a third time to purchase. Now the price is $800 more than the original price they were going to give us. I'm not sure if they just didn't like us and didn't want to sell to us? So strange. So I don't want to give them the business. I will pay more somewhere else where they honor their price quotes. I recently bought a condo and decided to replace the carpet to tile throughout. After shopping around all Sherman Way strip, I came across this place. Boy oh boy..this place is HUGE! I was instantly blown away with all the selection they had. After walking around for 2 minutes I was greeted by Edgar. He introduced himself and asked me what I was looking for, I told him I wanted two different types styles of tile, wood like grey tile and white porcelain. What I like about Edgar is that he showed me 3 levels of quality and affordability (low,medium,high). To make the story short I fell in love with an Italian wood like tile which I was going to use for the main living area. Edgar then says "This white tile combined with the grey wood like tile is going to take your place to another level" I was doubtful, but took his expert opinion. The result was exactly what he said. After an agonizing day of visiting all the tile shops on Sherman way, my husband and I stopped at beginyans and thank god Araz greeted us and offered help that day. She has made this nightmare of a remodel and absolute walk in the park with her attention to detail, experience and knowledge of the craft. We gutted and remodeled our entire house and were amazed at the selection available to us. I'm super picky and indecisive and quickly learned that Araz has impeccable taste and I could trust her blindly. I would literally call her and jokingly ask her to just pick my countertops because her taste is top notch. She was in constant communication with me and my husband throughout our entire building process and literally held our hands. I purchased my tiles here for my rental house. Both bathrooms had to be remodeled. I came in to buy 12x24 tiles since the place that I usually get them did not have a good enough selection. The owners son Ed was very patient in helping me select certain tiles that would match with the house ambiance. Since I felt that I was getting very good service, I decided to purchase the mosaic as well as my bull-noses here too. After I paid for the tiles they told me that they will call when the tiles have arrived. When I came to pick up the tiles, I had to wait about 30 minutes for them to gather the tiles as they were still all over the warehouse. ( I took one star for that) While waiting, I noticed that Ed had made a mistake on my bill and charged me $ 150 too much. After my tiles were loaded into my car, I had to go back into the main office to discuss about the overcharge. His mother took my receipt, calculate and then recalculate and then recalculate again and then she credit my credit card. She did not apologized for the mistake, which I was disappointed.(that deserved two stars taken off but, I am only taking one off) Today I called the store as I needed to get extra bull nose, the mother was suppose to call me back but she never did.(again that should be another star taken off) Edit -- a couple of days later - Ed called me to follow up on the tiles that I needed. If I could I would add another 1/2 star on my rating! read more
