I should've walked away and rescheduled my tile guys for a later day when the worker herself said I should go somewhere else because of how over priced they were, but I couldn't reschedule and I needed to get the project done asap. I called another tile store just for laughs and they said they were selling each bag for $13.50 a bag and that they accept returns. Her rude, aggressive and disrespectful tone and behavior towards me today was quiet disappointing, when her staff were informed of the faulty & damaged inventory I had been sold, costing me additional replacement tile, installation labor and time. It is nice to see immigrants from other parts of the world succeeding in the US as the owners of this store have. But no matter how highly Mrs. Begenian may consider herself, in this part of the world it is not customary to be disrespectful to customers. Even the reaction of the employees made it clear that her conduct today was nothing new. Although the staff and the adult children running this business have been generally friendly, the behavior of Mrs. Begenian senior today, was even beneath a common street walker. We were searching for countertops for our kitchen remodel and this place had lots of reviews so we tried going there. We were just starting our search and did not know what we wanted, granite or quartz or prefab quartz. They have a good selection of all three and a big showroom of tile and backsplash tile. So we found a granite we loved but we were torn on if we wanted Quartz or not. So they gave us an unbeatable price for 2 slabs but we didn't not commit because we were not sure what we wanted yet. After looking more places we finally decided we wanted granite. We went back to beginyans and the price went up $400. We were puzzled that they would not give us the same price since we made the effort with our two kids to come an hour drive to their shop and we were ready to buy that day???? My husband was so puzzled that he just wanted to leave. So we left. After thinking about it more I told my husband I want to just go ahead and buy it at the higher price. So I went back a third time to purchase. Now the price is $800 more than the original price they were going to give us. I'm not sure if they just didn't like us and didn't want to sell to us? So strange. So I don't want to give them the business. I will pay more somewhere else where they honor their price quotes. After an agonizing day of visiting all the tile shops on Sherman way, my husband and I stopped at beginyans and thank god Araz greeted us and offered help that day. She has made this nightmare of a remodel and absolute walk in the park with her attention to detail, experience and knowledge of the craft. We gutted and remodeled our entire house and were amazed at the selection available to us. I'm super picky and indecisive and quickly learned that Araz has impeccable taste and I could trust her blindly. I would literally call her and jokingly ask her to just pick my countertops because her taste is top notch. She was in constant communication with me and my husband throughout our entire building process and literally held our hands. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. I went in to look for vinyl flooring. I found a color that I loved. The sticker on the sample said $1.99 (per square ft). I asked one of the ladies that worked there if they could give us a better deal for the quantity I needed. After letting her know the square footage I needed, she went to the back to discuss it with other coworkers and came back and said they could do it for $1.79. It sounded like good deal so we told her we would make the order the following day. I just needed to get all the measurements confirmed from my contractor. The next day the same employee and other employee were filling out the order on the computer and in the middle of it went to the back to talk to the manager. He then came out to tell me that the sample was mis- labeled by a an employee that they fired for incorrectly labeling material for way cheaper and that the vinyl I wanted was actually $2.99, which is ridiculous. I then asked the lady that helped my the other day, Hasmick, why they didn't catch this mistake the other day when they checked the books. Apparently they were looking at the laminate version ....which is a lie because that collection is not made in laminate. I did my research on that same product and these people definitely over priced the material. The manager continued to say he can give us 15% off. Which would bring down the price to the what other places actually sold that same piece for. (At this point i'd rather go give my business to someone else) Luckily I had already found a place that sold it for 2.29. I even asked if they could at least match it (after all they did mess up and could have at least done that). One of the ladies that worked there with short blonde hair, said they couldn't with attitude. These people rather loose business and rip off others instead of providing good customer service. A good manager would have honored whatever price was initially said. Also if the employee that you fired was messing up the labels, it's really not my problem. I didn't really care to hear that story. If they had good management, as soon as they knew a previous employee was miss labeling items, the manager should have checked all items on the floor.... but no instead they wait for situations like this to occur. The over pricing of their material should definitely be investigated. It's a shady business, by the looks of other reviews here. It also delayed my project and I wasted my contractors time.
