My friend was redoing his kitchen and he asked me to help him. He already had these black gloss cabinets in place but he had actually never put a countertop in. He was just using wood so he asked me to design his kitchen for him and to pull in the gold and black colors of the light fixture, I started looking at marble places, and then I found marble unlimited from a photo of their stock on Google. Jackelyn who helped me through this entire process was just amazing.!!!!! Through constant contact, walking me through the yard looking at all the different pieces of marble and never losing her patience, she always had a smile on her face and was always ready to help me and work out a deal so my friend could afford four of these blocks. She has amazing customer service skills and they are lucky to have her. My sales rep was awesome... but I could definitely read in between the lines that their ability to provide fair customer service was hampered by edicts coming down from upper management. I got the overwhelming sense that upper management is out of touch or willfully against the kind of customer service that encourages repeat business. They have a decent selection, but any customer should be wary of how they will be treated if their purchases are damaged while the company is still in possession of their items. read more

Welcome to the brave world of adulting, which takes a person like me, new to renovations, to the heart of industrial Van Nuys to Marble Unlimited. Adventuring into the world of materials in search for countertop materials, I came to Marble Unlimited at the behest of my contractor. He loves Marble Unlimited because they price fairly. Neighboring a scrap yard lives three separate warehouses featuring many different types of materials: granite, quartzite, marble, onyx, etc. Google maps deposited me at a random building. Inside were little red signs requiring one to visit the office prior to looking at slabs. Where is the office, I wondered, wandering about aimlessly before fixating on gorgeous slabs of material. What kind? I had no idea. I did preliminary research on the Marble Unlimited website as to the materials, but what you find online is only a small taste of what they have. I would say the website does not even come close to the real thing. Wow. I found a worker who kindly showed me where the office was. After being juggled back and forth between employees, I finally met the very friendly, knowledgeable and professional Jimena. She is absolutely 5 stars! Excellent service. She gave me a twenty minute tour of the warehouses and kindly educated me on pros/cons with regards to materials. For example, I had selected an onyx slab for a kitchen counter. This is not an ideal material for a kitchen. While gorgeous, it can get scratched especially in a kitchen. Note to self. I selected two counters, one quartzite for the kitchen and one onyx for the bathroom. I love the selection of materials. I, to know surprise of my own, like "alternative" styles in stark contrast with the popular white marble of this era. Go figure. The best news? They have materials that could appeal to all tastes. One of the show areas is where sale slabs live. Hurray! Appealing to different budgets is important especially in this industry. Jimena also dispensed valuable insight: when selecting a stone, you have to get a feel for it in person. You will feel it when it's the right one for you. I couldn't agree more. Great advice! Four stars because I feel the site could benefit from investing in signage so customers aren't getting lost amidst showrooms. When you work one-on-one with a sales team member, it seems you have their undivided attention- which doesn't bode well for the random lost customer, such as myself. Marble Unlimited has a great selection of beautiful stone. We worked with Marina who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the stones and what would go well together. We wanted different stone slab for the island versus other color slabs for the sides, and she helped us choose the best color combo. Can't wait to see how the stone looks in our kitchen!! read more

Yowza! Lookin' for some marble, granite, stone, onyx??? Look no further, this is the place. If you live in West LA like I do, this place is waaaaaaay outta my hood, waaaaaay out in the valley, I felt like a few more blocks and I'd be in the mountains! But on Keswick there are tons of marble places, and Marble Unlimited is the best. They have a HUUUGE inside warehouse filled with full-sized slabs of marble and other types of rocks/stones/minerals. Then they have a HUUUGE outside yard with more. Then they have a medium sized inside room on the other side of the outside yard. Wow. Walked the entire inventory. Just love looking at marble. It's like a collection of God's artwork, some of the stuff is from deep inside the earth. The patterns are amazing, and it's all organic, natural stuff!! There was one huge piece of beautiful onyx, really a treasure, but Juan told me that it was too delicate to be used in a bathroom. I love what I picked, and the price was 1/3 the price of what I found at Mission Tile West in So. Pasadena. This place is wholesale to the trade only, so you have to be working with a designer. The only bummer is I got a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt properly (was under my arm) on Van Nuys Blvd. If you go here, drive really carefully, because there were cops everywhere. But I'm glad I went, and I love my marble. read more

We had a great experience with Jimena. I really didn't know where to begin in finding the right slab for our renovation. We had some features we had to work with - tile, floor & cabinets - and really wanted to find something that would function best for our modern lifestyle (we are hard on things!) while still maintaining the feel of the period (the house is a quaint old Spanish revival). Jimena helped us understand what would look or feel too modern & what would be authentic, what would be the right tone to bring together the tile & floor & cabinets & what material would wear best--even what finish would be perfect (we picked "leathered"). She really nailed it - I'm 100% confident she helped us pick the perfect slab--AND she went way beyond the call of duty by holding a spare slab for us until we finished cutting it just in case we needed more material. We had visited the site twice, spent a lot of time, and picked out a very nice granite slab. Then everything fell apart. Marble Unlimited would not agree to sell the granite to our fabricator, because he did not have a license. Their claim is that they want to avoid dealing with unqualified fabricators, but our contractor (who hired the fabricator) said the license is optional, and it's more likely they have a set of "favorites" that they try to steer customers toward. I honestly don't know who to believe. Maybe both. But fair enough, if they will not sell, that is their prerogative. What happened next is not acceptable. I spoke to Marble Unlimited's sales manager to try to get the sale to go though, and she was dismissive and rude. She refused to give me any details about what license in particular they were looking for, and then she just hung up on me. Then I called the salesman himself. When I pressed him on the reasons why he will not sell us the granite, he cursed at me and hung up. Do yourself a favor and verify in advance whether your fabricator is acceptable to Marble Unlimited. Or think twice about buying from a shop that treats potential customers in such an unprofessional way. read more

If you want to install granite counter tops, First you go here to pick out the granite slabs you like, there are tons to choose from, and then ask a contractor, which this place can recommend, to come to your house to do the measurement, planning, and a couple weeks later, the finally installation. 2 stars for their selection - lots to choose from. 1 star for their shady practices. My husband and I decided on the material for our counters - brown sequoia quartz, leathered finish. We were then told to go there and pick out the slab. So, I went - took off work to drive up to there location. I looked at 2 possible slabs and chose the one I wanted. It was delivered to the fabricator, who started asking questions about it, and we come to realize that they delivered a different slab than the one I picked out - one that was not nearly as nice, by the way. I had taken several photos of the slab I picked out so it was easy for us to realize it was different (the pattern has a lot of thick veins). The fabricator thought this was ridiculous as well - he went with us back to them and argued. The woman we worked wtih tried to play it off as a "miscommunication," that she had told me that we would not get the slab I picked out, but this is not the case. Why would I go there to pick out the slab if I knew I wouldn't be getting it anyway? Ultimately, we had to pick out yet another slab (since the one they gave us was crap, and the one I picked out was given to someone else), and our contractor negotiated a discount. We checked out one other marble place but they did not have this particular material, which we really wanted. If you use them, be careful that you get the slab you pick out! read more

My order is very small but the owner Hamid gave me the best customer service I ever had. He knew I was on a budget and was looking for someone who could cut my granite and install for me at very reasonable price. The owner Hamid took extra time to make an arrangement for me. The quality of the granite is excellent and the customer service is superior. I am really happy and very moved by Hamid's marvelous assistance.
