It started out well... We needed a vanity and discovered MTD by chance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The showroom was impressive and the staff were friendly and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We purchased a vanity that seemed ideal for our home, was reasonably priced, and could be delivered on our remodeling timeline. However, the receipt's bottom line should have given us pause. It stated that that once you received the finished vanity, it was yours, as-is with no returns. It was recommended that we fully inspect it before loading it in our car. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we arrived for pick up, the vanity was tightly wrapped with plastic and bubble wrap. When we asked them to take it off for us to inspect, we were assured that it was fine and that was not necessary. We insisted, and some of the wrap was removed so we could check the drawers. They looked OK - and the manager assured us that if there was any problem they would fix it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately there was damage underneath the wrapping we didn't remove. But as the receipt we signed said, it's ours now. The company was unwilling to do anything to fix it. It's unfortunate when a company won't stand behind its goods, so if you buy here, be very careful to fully inspect, regardless if already wrapped. read more

My husband and I ordered a vanity from this company and today my guys installed it. The vanity looks fine until you see the cheap particle board drawers. The only reason we picked this company and this particular vanity was because the salesman Robert assured us there was no particle board in it, it was made of Canadian wood and plywood and manufactured here in Van Nuys he said. I am extremely upset that you can brazenly lie just to sell a product. I had told him we were allergic to formaldehyde that's the main reason why I don't want particle board and I asked him several times and he was very clear saying there was absolutely no particle board. Of all people -- or not because this *IS* Los Angeles, I first heard of MTD from my hairdresser! She lives near the Valley location and used many of their items when she bought her condo. She recommended them to me when I was looking for a double vanity - with glass bowls when I had my bathroom remodeled and wanted to give it a modern look. I went to the location on a Sunday on my own (NOTE: They are not open on Saturday), parked out front and took around the showroom already wanting everything in sight! When I described what I was looking for to the Staffer at the counter, he mentioned there is also a "warehouse" next door in the strip mall -- where there are discounted items that had been returned and are at a discounted rate. The caveat is however, there is no delivery option so I had to arrange my own delivery. I wanted the White, Cuba 61" with mirrors. Full price, it's $1775 -- but gently used it was about $1100 - it's a deal, folks! It's beautiful, sleek and has SO much storage! It was there and I bought it immediately! The MTD folks were very helpful and I came back a week later once I secured help to get the vanity transported. A year later, I can say what a great deal this is! When I get back to remodeling, because I love design, I will definitely be back to purchase more fixtures here. The customer service, along with the beautiful aesthetic makes MTD my go-to for my home! read more

Beware if you're an elder person, this company's employee will take advantage of you!! My mom, in mid 80s went there and Robert gave her a quote. However when she returned to pay, he charged her extra $90 under a pretense that original quote did not include a small horizontal plank above the floor!! Outrageous! BTW obviously this company does not even recognize a law that people over 72 need another person to sign a contract and pay. Robert took advantage of my mom being old and nice and charged her extra, did not even provide receipt with "5 year warranty" that he promised her at their original quote written on a piece of paper. Also, this company does NOT deliver (or so was told to my mom, who lives 1.5 miles away!) She had to pay another $200 to deliver this single sink vanity. I'm super disappointed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I contacted Robert, he did not respond and never credited back $90 that he still owes to my mom's credit card, nor mailed the hard copy receipt with promised warranty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more

I went here based on my contractor's recommendation, as I am not one to order on-line when it comes to furniture. I was looking for a specific 36" vanity with a sink. MTD only carries this size in 4 styles for 36" with 3 options for the sink material which affects the price. They also do customized vanities if you are looking for that and have time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eddie was very friendly and patient, as well as very knowledgeable about the products they carried which include vanities and shower and sink fixtures, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their vanities are high quality manufactured wood that come in a couple finishes and colors, and have a very clean and simple sophisticated look. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What's nice is there is no high pressure selling going on here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eddie also let me take samples of their finishes home in colors that I was considering so I could check against my tile and bathroom lighting/color and return them when it was convenient for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Needless to say, I found the exact vanity I was looking for somewhere else, but do recommend a stop by MTD for a look at their vanities. read more

I hardly ever want to say anything bad about a company but buyer beware here. I purchased a vanity and counter top. After arriving home and opening the plastics I discovered the vanity was a complete disaster. The hardware was rusted and the cabinet itself had cracks and splits everywhere. I called over to Randy who made it as if I made the whole thing up and had me send them photos and video for proof. After proving my honesty (ridiculous) he said I could bring it back and swap it for another cabinet. He said they couldn't help me with delivery (could have cared less I lived an hour away). They also offered no discount on the item for the trouble of me having to delay install and bring it all the way back and forth. Fast forward to a few weeks later, the counter top. My contractor ended up telling me it was a thin cheaply made counter top and used another one because he said it was way too thin and poorly made. I called Randy and told him at the 30 day mark for the return policy. He told me because I didn't have the box he would have to contact "management." I explained you never gave me a box and said they threw it on top of the counter. After sending videos and making me wait 4 days for a response, he called to tell me they would offer $100 refund on a $750 counter which we all know they would resell at $750. He said because it didn't have its box (which they didn't give me) they would have to sell it in the discount section. We all know that wouldn't happen. Just beware their products are poorly made. Even the second counter top I received has defect issues. My suggestion would be to buy somewhere else for a few hundred more and avoid supporting this poorly valued company. read more
