So saying that I love this place would pretty much be a ridiculous understatement. I'd been dying to stop in ever since I heard there was a new craft beer bar so close to Alex B. 's house but I was not at all prepared for just how wonderful the place would be. 52 awesome taps? Yup, you read that right! 52 delicious choices of beer at any given time. Overwhelming? Kind of, but in the best most-heavenly way possible. The staff is knowledgable and friendly as hell so don't hesitate to ask questions while you look over the beer list clipboards and chuck your peanut shells onto the floor. This is basically my new home base when I'm out in Glendale so I hope they like me at least half as much as I like them or we're about to have some super awkward beer encounters. read more

Glendale Tap is a laid back bar in an industrial area of Glendale. I love the look of the space with its brick walls and cement floors that are covered in peanut shells. Looks like an upscale dive bar. The amount of craft beers on tap will make any beer snob happy. There's also a random selection of soft pretzels and empanadas. Ok! The beers are decently priced. New favorite bar with free pool! Are ya kiddin me?! My boy friend and I found out about this place from an awesome bartender at another bar we frequent, Neat. Now, we are having a hard time staying away. This place, as my boyfriend says, reminds him of the awesome bars in Portland. This is definitely a beer bar, with amazing local selections. When I was there... maybe two days in a row... I found myself enjoying Eagle Rock's Populist on nitro. How often do you get to check that out? A couple of IPA's later, a great buzz, and a few free rounds of pool made me come to a final decision, this is by far one of the best beer bars I have every been to. Thanks Glendale Tap! It's crazy that such an awesome beer bar is in Glendale. Free pool, great selection on the jukebox, the bathrooms are super cute and clean and always well stocked (at a bar?!? I know right?) the beertenders are super friendly and helpful when you want to try something new, especially since it can be hard to chose with over 50 beers on tap. Good set up, even when it's packed it's easy to move around and order. Definitely a calm friendly atmosphere. It's the place you go to when you don't want to be in a loud overrated bar in hollywood. I was hesitant to help spread the word about Glendale Tap because I would love to keep it to myself but word is already out. This is the best neighborhood bar where the owner and bartenders learn your name very early on and make you feel like you're at home- a home with dozens of amazing beers on tap, two pool tables and a jukebox plus peanuts and empanadas if you need a lil snack. Best part though is the low-key non-sceney spirit of the place. Lucky to live walking distance. read more

Had a great time here! Laid back, peanut shells on the floor, the bathroom is clean and classy. Our bartender Kyler was super nice and let us sample beers on tap before making a final decision. He was patient with my indecisiveness and very knowledgable about the beers. However, if he wasn't sure about a certain beer, he didn't BS about it which I respect. I came here with a group of friends on a Fri night-- recommended by a couple who lives out in Glendale. It's very low key with dim lighting. They have over 50+ beers on tap. It took us awhile to look over the menu and decide what we wanted. I'm not a huge beer drinker so I stuck w the Hangar 24 Orange Wheat but my friends genuinely enjoyed their IPAs! There are 2 pool tables, peanuts on the table and a jukebox-- that's always fun! We played several rounds and ended up goofing around on our last game-- girls vs boys. It started getting late/crowded and so we gave up our table to other parties. The place doesn't sell food but they allow you to bring in foods from other places. We were all starving by the end of the night, so we walked 2-3 blocks down to this taco place that was jam packed. It was obviously the go-to spot for those who were out drinking late. read more

Came here on a Saturday around 7PM, there was a good amount of people here but it wasn't too crowded. Nice ambiance, great selection of beers, the bar tenders were nice and friendly. There was a good variety of music playing at a perfect volume, it wasn't loud enough to where you had to start yelling in people's ears. Also, I love the fact that it's not located in such a busy area/street because it makes it a little easier to find parking etc etc. Also, free pool tables which is nice. They serve Kombucha. Just not from the tap. But, they have it. All you can eat peanuts !!!!!! People do tend to hog the pool tables. The bathroom is clean and nice. The jukebox is awesome. They play old roadrunner cartoons. Lots of artsy beer options. The WiFi is kinda bad. Gets crowded with a lot of millennials on the weekends. Been the bar a few times and decided to have a small birthday get-together here last Saturday night. Steve, the owner, is a great guy to talk to on the phone and very accommodating. He made sure adequate space was reserved and the bartenders were not surprised when we walked in. Al, working behind the bar when we first arrived, even poured me a birthday beer. Good dudes. The bar is small-ish but never felt overwhelmed and the bartenders were able to keep up with not only our guests but everyone else at the bar without too much difficulty. That's one of the advantages of being a beer-only bar. There is nothing worse than being in line behind someone that just ordered six mojitos, so you stand there thirsty watching the bartender muddle. No chance of that happening here, although I did miss the opportunity to have a little scotch or something juuuuust a bit. The vibe/decor is sort of like an old auto-garage converted into a bar. You can play pool, eat peanuts and drink beer. There are two TV's, on either corner of the bar, and one of which is large enough to comfortably watch sports...but this is not a sports bar. Bringing in outside food is A-OK as Glendale Tap does not have a kitchen. There's a taco place nearby. We picked up a bunch of pizzas from Costco, also close by. Overall good times ensued! read more

My brother and I were at a dry wedding reception on central Ave and in need of a drink desperately. The security guard recommended this bar which was a short walk away. Of course we snuck away for a few minutes. Even though we were in our formal suits the patrons and staff were welcoming.
