This was my first visit to Gladchuk Bros Restaurant in years even though it has been a staple in Frederick as long as I can remember. We met friends for a quick visit when we were in town and it was a perfect place to stop in for lunch. I had a loaded potato soup and it was so good and filling with and emphasis on the term loaded. Other members of our party ordered a sandwich, a salad and a burger and the portions were generous and the salad was quite large and full of fresh ingredients. Our service was great as we were there on a weekday at lunchtime so they were not very busy. The dining room is clean and kept in great shape. The décor is lovely with a nod to the historic buildings age. The lovely woodwork and hard wood floors make it so cozy , and a beautiful fireplace at the entrance complete the cozy feel of the restaurant.

May very well be the best fine dining in Fredrick. I have zero complaints about the experience. I had the red wine flight and after the flight I asked for one of the wines for a "2nd" glass... Alas! They did not have enough! ...So the staff did what I would do: They offered me a much pricier wine at the same cost. This is doing your customer right. Also, we had a dozen oysters and when we finished we realized we were one short! ha ha! Well... we showed the waiter the shells and he said: Would you like the 12th oyster or for us to comp the selection. We got the 12th oyster... Just offering to comp us was nice. However, all that aside: The food is EXCELLENT, same with the wine and the service...!

We ordered a (French press) coffee and we split the Burrata Toast to start. And because we weren't in the mood for "breakfast" food we both ordered the Wagyu Burger. The first French press coffee we received was full of grounds so we had to send it back for another one once we were able to get assistance (our server was nowhere to be found). My friend ordered her burger with a salad but it came with fries but they fixed it pretty quickly. The food was really good. The service was okay.

Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. The restaurant itself feels like an old house converted into a cozy dining space, giving it a relaxed, family-dinner vibe that's hard to find these days. The food? Incredible. They had fried calamari on the menu, but we asked if they could grill it instead--and they happily did. It came out perfectly tender and delicious. The linguini with white clam sauce tasted exactly like something an Italian grandma would make--simple, comforting, and deeply authentic. And the Veal Massi with fresh mozzarella? Absolutely out of this world. Rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this gem in Frederick!

We took a table in the rear enclosed patio area near the bar. To start we ordered the meatball sliders. Two come with an order and they were good. I liked the toasted slider rolls, the tangy sauce and the spiciness of the meatball. Recommend cutting it in half to eat it without it flying out of the roll. Overall a good start. I ordered the gnocchi primavera which really wasn't in the traditional sense - as the vegetables were puréed together into an orange sauce. Had a good flavor and was served with burrata. Starters and entrees came out very close to each other which wasn't a bad thing. We also added a margherita pizza to share which looked weird - but tasted great. Nice crisp to the crust and thin. I usually think of a doughier crust with this kind of pizza but still good. Dessert was the fudge cake - rich in flavor, adding a coffee. Overall - would have loved to sit inside and get that experience but still good considering we didn't have a reservation. Our waiter - younger guy out back we good, though at times we leaned on the other bartender to help get refills.

The waiter was patient and easy going, especially for such a busy time. The food was well seasoned and portions plentiful. The biscuit that came with the combo was a cheese biscuit, however the menu didn't mention the cheese otherwise we would have asked for a plain biscuit (looking forward to having jelly with it, but not so much on a cheese biscuit), but regardless, it was a good biscuit. I look forward to visiting again next time in town, trying their dinner/ tapas.

The décor is colorful and warm, with Spanish-inspired art. On this brisk cold afternoon there was also a cozy brick fireplace in full working mode located in the back of the main dining area that adds to the charm. Our server was excellent--friendly, organized, and very mindful of our need to finish in time for the show. She handled separate checks, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was the highlight. We ordered full brunch meals, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The house-made chorizo, flavorful sauces, and Eggs Benedict (with the option of a fresh biscuit instead of an English muffin) were especially good. Overall, we had a great experience. The menu is large, the atmosphere is inviting, and we'd happily return the next time we're in Frederick.

We went at 4:30pm on a Sunday night when it wasn't too busy. Our waiter was very nice and came frequently to our table to check on us and asking if we needed anything. You can also make reservations online. Since the restaurant is located in a mountain area, I had no reception or internet. All the dishes we had were pretty good. They start you with warm complementary bread with butter. The filet mignon was our favorite dish with soft meat and mashed potatoes. The sauce was a little sour to complement the meat. The linguini in the seafood linguine was cooked soft so it's good for little kids, but if you would like it more al dente, you'll probably have to let them know. There were 3 mussels, 2 scallops and several shrimp all cooked well. The green beans were cooked so they were still crunchy. Some of mine were a bit too undercooked for me. There as a good amount of meat in the veal and pork bolognese over pappardelle. The noodle were cooked well and long. The Maryland crab soup was part of the daily dinner special. Wish there was more crab in the Maryland crab soup since I saw a lot of vegetables. It was pretty spicy which wasn't noted on the menu. The crème brûlée was cooked very well. Crispy sugar top and creamy inside.

While the garlic sauce was generous and delicious, the quality of the mussels themselves was disappointing. They were all open, but they had that "off" taste associated with older seafood. * The Main: Things turned around completely with the pork tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly and paired with a very flavorful sauce. Highly recommended! * The Dessert: Finished with the coconut cake. It was incredibly moist--perhaps a touch too sweet for my personal preference, but tasty enough that I'd definitely order it again. Overall, a great find with just a minor hiccup on the seafood. We'll be back!
