W attended an event so this review might not be an accurate representation of the restaurant. The food was ok. The salad was just mediocre but the dressing made up for it! It was so delicious that I dipped my bread in it! The bread was hard though and hard to bite. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was good. The portion was very big and they were prepared to give us to go boxes. It was a little expensive, but that might've been because it was an event, I would like to revisit when I can just go to enjoy the restaurant.

    The Chardonnay pour was awesome

Got there early and had a drink at the bar.. awesome Manhattan made by Ed then dinner was great. It was a group of 8 women and they treated us so well. The ambiance is elegant but not stuffy... food is ample and delicious... will return! Beni, the owner is delightful, Marcelo is a great waiter

I should have known to eat elsewhere, anywhere but this place. Maybe it was the lack of customers, or the completely clueless waiter who seemed to wish that he was on a beach catching some zzzzs. Whatever the case, he was disinterested and had to ask twice about our order. But getting back to the restaurant. I order a Peroni but they were out of it. So I ordered another beer, out of that too. And another. Out. They said they had a wheat beer (blue moon like). It came out flat and lukewarm. About a half hour passed and finally lunch arrived. I had ordered a meatball sandwich. What came on the plate was hardly edible. One tiny meatball, sliced thinly and layered between cheese that tasted of the fridge and a smear of lukewarm sauce. It was completely inedible. I picked around the plate hoping the meatballs would magically become flavorful, but alas, the only flavor I detected was that of liquid oozing out of the bread. It was supposed to be garlic bread but it resembles creamed chipped beef on toast. My companion had a Caesar salad without extra cheese and with grilled chicken. The waiter had to come back to the table twice. First to tell us that the cheese would be on the side, (old and flavorless slices of domestic Parmesan is just lazy in an Italian restaurant. The Caesar was missing the croutons! We waited another ten minutes to get a little cup of boxed, old tasting croutons. The chicken tasted like rubber. Probably from a bag, pre-scored with grilled chicken marks. Lazy again. I brought the sandwich back into the restaurant to complain and point helpfully at the mess that they wanted to charge me twenty dollars for. Needless to say it didn't appear of the check. And the iced tea my companion ordered may have been tea in a former life, but not recently. It was really terrible. Cheap Dixie cup plastic disposable cups for water. Again. Just lazy. Use a real plastic cup please. Conclusion? We should have gone elsewhere. It was a really bad sign that the restaurant was completely empty at 1:30 in the afternoon. That everyplace in town was bustling. But this one looked abandoned. I don't wish them poorly. Just a career change is warranted here. Food and beverage is not their forte. Nor is customer service. Nor their beverage program. Definitely not their food. Nor the service. Nor the cheap plastic disposable cups.

Didn't think to check if they were honoring that given the holiday, since it turned out to be first come first serve no reservations. Inside reservations were being taken, there was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. Our party of 3 ordered the octopus and an arugula salad as an appetizer. The octopus was divine - would come back for this specifically. We split entrées and ordered the short ribs, orrecchiette, and Chilean sea bass. Pretty big portions and the flavor to match! A huge kudos to the hostess up front, who navigated a pretty grumpy crowd with such grace. Understandably, it was a very busy day, and the restaurant was packed. We probably could've used a bit more attention from the waiter after we were seated, as we would've liked another cocktail, but overall a great experience. Looking forward to coming back.

This restaurant has so much potential... great location by the Hudson, the menu sounds delicious,…read moreand a party room available if needed. Unfortunately, we were left feeling pretty underwhelmed. First off, the food took quite long to come out. Nobody came to the guests of honor to let them know what was going on. It wasn't until the guests of honor said something to the staff that everything "sped up". It was all very reactive instead of proactive. Secondly, the food was left a bit to be desired. The chicken parmigiana was unfortunately pretty dry for something that had sauce, while the salmon (although moist) lacked a bit of flavor and could have used a sauce. Make it make sense please?! Some of the items seemed like they were not made from the scratch, i.e. the pizza and the crispy mashed potatoes. The best dish of the night was the penne vodka. I honestly wish they brought more of that out, but for some reason the portions for that dish were quite small. It seemed like they just ran out of that dish, and just put any small amount on the plates. Towards the end of the night, it just seemed like the staff stopped caring about the guests, and were just phoning it in. They barely came to check on us. Even any chain restaurant would do something as easy as that. At some point, even the drink orders came out wrong. Sprite instead of water for all of the guests, coffee for people who didn't order coffee, alcoholic drinks that were given to the wrong guests. And literally nobody was there to help the guests of honor cut and serve the cake. The guests of honor had to use a butter knife to cut the cake because nobody came to provide a proper knife or even offer to take the cake and cut it. With the slow service and the amount of time the food took to come out, I think it would have been more understandable if the food was amazing and/or presented well, but it was honestly as pretty basic as you can get. All in all, I feel pretty bad for the guests of honor that they had to experience such a thing: Basic food, inattentive service, and lackluster management.

I do not recommend this establishment or the other restaurant Lani's that this man owns (worst food I ever had for way too much money and again no room to even breathe). The building itself is white with with a blue door and accents and the walkway from the entrance to the dining area is decorated with sculptures in recessed cubbies in the wall. The main dining room is spacious and inviting with a lush ceiling and touches of warm, golden furnishings. It was bustling on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Diners were seated indoors and outdoors. We didn't get a chance to see the outdoor space but on a hot and sunny day, my family was fine and comfortable in the shade indoors. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Once I was seated and waiting for the rest of my party, he advised the time for last orders to be placed. My party of 6 ordered almost every appetizer and several of the limited number of mains offered on the lunch menu. The appetizers came out as they were ready. The beet salad and lobster salad came out first and were refreshing. The saganaki and watermelon appetizer was an interesting pairing and surprisingly delightful. We ordered two of the grilled octopus as it's usually a favorite within my group when dining at a Greek or Mediterranean establishment. Unfortunately, the octopus came chopped in small pieces and was uninteresting. IMHO this dish is not worth the price or the calories. Of the set of 4 spreads/dips, all were tasty and went nicely with the accompanying pita bread. We ended up doubling on this. The crispy shrimp and calamari, eggplant and zucchini chips, and the Greek meatballs were satisfying and a hit with everyone. Despite the disappointment with the grilled octopus, overall the appetizers were much more impressive than the entrees. For our mains, we got 2 of the filet mignon with eggs, the sirloin burger, the Lountza sandwich, the chicken souvlaki, the crispy shrimp wrap, and the shrimp roll. If we had to rank these dishes, the chicken would top the list, followed by the sirloin burger, and the rest would be last. Consistency in preparation and flavor profiles of the dishes is lacking. For example, we requested the filets cooked medium, however one filet was medium in some parts, medium rare in others. Personally, I enjoy medium rare and ate those pieces. As for the other filet, it was medium rare and borderline rare and inedible for my party. We requested additional heat for the dish, which the kitchen accommodated, but the meat came back basically well done SMH. While the chicken and burger were juicy and appetizing, the other dishes, albeit topped with many ingredients, were bland. Perhaps the kitchen was overwhelmed, which resulted in receiving our entrees about two hours after placing the order and the poor, or at least decline in quality of, execution of our dishes. Considering the restaurant has been open almost two years, it is normal to expect experience in managing the weekend crowds. While we were advised about the hard stop on placing orders, it was a missed opportunity for our waiter to check if we wanted to add desserts to our meal. No warning or follow-up was made as the cutoff time was approaching. Normally, I would praise the experience and service, but the final straw was in the handling of leftovers and with the valet. We had several unfinished or untouched dishes we wanted packed to go. Upon checking the containers at home, not everything was packed. When waiting outside for our cars, one of our cars was already pulled up with the door open and ready to be driven away. Problem was, the car belonged to my sister, who was in the restroom at the time and had her ticket. Anyone could've driven her car away. Thankfully the valet cooperated and drove the car to the side and my sister retrieved it without incident. Overall, the experience was lengthy and off-putting. If you need a beautiful space with a good selection of small bites and have hours to spare, e.g. a special event, then this place is for you. If you are interested in a full meal, and have only 2-3 hours for a meal, this is not the place for you.
