i been coming here for a while now just lately started to smoke the hookah...last time i was there me and my friend ordered hookah 3 shots for me 2 shots for here and fries our bill was around $95 i didnt no after certain amount they charge tip in there so disappointed i wasted $7 on tip when i was already paying 15% i noticed other times i come the waitress only go by the guys like seriously?? ALthough LOVE the guy who gives tables hes awesome the girls should learn customer service from him......AND it really doesnt take 30-40 mins to bring the fries out common and the hookahs burn like there is no tomrw even when they first bring it out idk if ill come back here again there is other places that are better service and hookahs read more

Worst Food, Service, Drinks & management.

1. its a freakin hookah lounge not a restaurant! and one of the best i have ever been to...the coal guys are amazing and really friendly especially the white one....seriously he can make any flavor be orgasmic. 2. the waitress are all nice! and people their human every1 has their bad day give them a break seriously! 3. the place is perfect if u sit on the second patio u get like a car show of bmws and benzes....inside is good 2 they have a dance floor during the basketball games they put their big ass projector on its seriously like ur at the game! 4. the manager is fkin amazingggg....shes the sweetest person everr! and she works really hard for a young women she does a hell of a job. 5. on tuesdays its free refills if u bring a reciept from any night u went before....which is amazingggg!!! yes its one drink minimum so wat? u want to be a jew stay home! their food is amazingggggggg and they are so not overpriced!!! also they are open till 4am on fri and sats and they have a full bar and their drinks are to die for. also they have happy hour are a certain time where u can get certain drinks for 4$ andddddd on the 1st tuesday of every month they have like a buffet and belly dancers! Overall iv been to so many hookah lounges and this is the best so far! and i honestly love it there...if u honestly think this place suks then u obviously havnt been to spot....now that place fkin sucks:D read more

I went in today, and had a terrible experience I ordered one hookah and one coke, I really didn't like the flavor it was really harsh. Our waitress didn't come to our table in at least 20 minutes and when she finally came around I asked if I can speak to the man who made the hookah, he comes over and I ask him if I can get a different flavor and he said too much time has passed by so I would have to be charged as a refill. It frustrating because it was too late to switch out the flavor because our waitress never came back around until it was too late. I agreed to the refill because I didn't want to cause an issue. So again our waitress never came back so I had to go inside to get my bill and it came out to $51 for one hookah which is $26 and a $4 coke with a $10 refill. They have a mandatory 18% gratuity fee which I would be more than happy to pay for if I had the service. Our waitress spent her time at another table with a group of guys that were hitting on her, overall a bad experience and I can't get my money back oh well guess I won't be going there again. read more

Where have you been all my life. so i went to school in burbank for FOUR WHOLE YEARS and it wasn't until my 21st birthday that i enjoyed the excellent hookah. it a really CHILL PLACE to enjoy a cig and some welled made drinks for mid-range prices, in a group of four 20 bucks can get you at least two round of hookah and a strong adios, midori, long island, whatever you heart's desire. although lots of people like fruity hookah, if you want more authentic taste i love rose mint they might have somthing like three kings there too and i have heard that their special is awesome. for the guys, the girls here are much more friendly and really gorgeous compared to other places. for the girls, eh, i wouldn't necessarily go man hunting here unless that your crowd. it IS a lovely girls night out place. im probably there every week, so ill see you there fellow yelpers. ps: i have no idea what the food tastes like. read more

i really love this place. Me and my friends always come here with a group of 8+ and sit outside and were treated great . The food is great the drinks are awesome ( i get the long island if my goal for the night is too wind up on someones lawn with a garden gnome on my ass) and the service is usually ok. The best server there is Tania hands down. Now shes a great girl who i sorta became acquainted with and thats not why im bias. the reason being is because we've always got amazing service from her time and time again and overtime my whole group of friends really loved her and got to know her due to her great people skills and prompt service. She always treats us great when we get there, And i notice shes like that with all her costumers. Most of the girls there are also nice some do have bitchy attitudes though ;/ The guys always replace the coal and change the channel when u ask ( unless there is a game on) . The inside does get VERYYY loud with the music. Sometimes i cant hear myself think, so we tend to stay away from there. Plus they serve Starbucks teas in little Starbucks mugs ^.^ . I was introduced to this place by a beautiful Armenian/Egyptian friend. It was just the kind of place someone like her would hang out. They have the best hookah service I have experienced anywhere in LA and the family that owns it makes sure they treat their customers well. Serving alcohol is a big plus for this place and the food is also very good. I mostly sat outside in the courtyard but would love to come back and enjoy the inside on a busy night. Even though I live in Hollywood, I will make the trip over the hill to Burbank to spend some hours here. read more

The best hookah spot. They have all the favors you need and this food is so much better than some restaurants. The customer service here is the best. They always bring fresh charcoal and they always refill your tea when your on low supply. The employee Araz is the best. He is always very friendly and ready to fix and issues that arise. Just want to say that the service was great here. We had an issue with the hookah flavor and Aiden, one of the hookah guys, came by and re-flavored our hookah with his special skills. I came here with my girl friend on Wednesday. The service was not that great, in the beginning at least. The server took forever to come see us. I assume she was busy, but it would've been nice to have been checked up on, instead of getting up to go chase her down. We ordered a hookah and it burned instantly, but here is where our stay got better, the hookah boy, the short guy, (I think his names Dante) came to us and we told him the hookah burned and he instantly fixed it. He checked up on us constantly. The guy kept me and my girl entertained, hes really funny, he even refereed to himself as a hobbit a couple times. Because of his customer service we ended up enjoying our stay at Gitanas. I am not sure if we will be going back, but if we do it will be because of that Hooka boy. This place has gradually gone downhill. The music is repetitive, same thing over and over and over, and the prices are way to high! Another hookah place right around the coroner has way better service, hookah, and food and it is much cheaper. If you're looking to have a nice night and keep your wallet a little thicker, steer clear of this place. read more

Hookah is great they have a wide selection of fumari and tangiers, they come around changing the coals often, the waitress's always come around and ask if everything is okay and if we need anything else. Whats good about this place... -inside and outside seating area -they allow smoking on the inside of the restaurant, which is cool -hookah isn't bad, it depends on who makes it. There were times when the hookah was awesome and lasted for over an hour (four people sharing), and there were times when it lasted for about twenty minutes if that -charcoal replacement occurs, however it takes about 15-20min -music use to be so much better, now it seems to be kind of ...lame? I would prefer more mid-eastern music rather than bad rap. However thats just my music preference -you can call ahead to reserve a table if you plan to arrive after 10pm on the weekend, however be very specific about the time. Once I reserved a table for 10:30PM and specified that we might arrive ten to fifteen min late at most, but when we got there at 10:40PM the manager stated that they didnt have our table anymore because they had the table reserved for the past hour and no one showed up. I'm not sure how that happened... (?) -Males: all servers are females in short skirts -Ladies: there are a lot of males at the place -Dance floor on the inside -The good thing is, you get your drinks and food. The bad thing is, if its busy, drinks take time (15 min) and the not so good food, takes even more time ( up to 40min) Overall : its an OK place. okay first things first this isnt a place u go cuz ur short on money. its for the people who realy plan on going out and spending money. if ur looking for cheap food and hookah, look somewhere else. for all the people who plan on only comming here once be prepared to be ignored. gitana pays attention to return customers and high tippers, simply to remain semi-exclusive. the cheff takes pride in his work, if u have a problem with the food bring it to his attention but dont make a big deal out of it. the hookah is not cheap but well worth the price (depending on who fixes it). the hookah boys are always checking for who needs charcoal and whos head is getting harsh. if you come here to save money or for a one time deal ur not gonna be happy. come looking for a good time a few laughs, and to be a return customer, and you will be more then happy. read more

They really need to get rid of a majority of their waitresses because the customer service is absolute shit. Our waitress for the night was sweet but inattentive and not very knowledgable about the food and beverage menu. She brought out our drinks and that was that. She disappeared for almost an hour and I had to ask the coal guy to get her for us to get the check. When I went up to the register to pay, seeing that I didn't want to wait another hour for her to run my card, the other waitresses were extremely rude to us! I used to go to Gitanas a few years back and would almost always pay at the register. So I didn't see a reason for their disgusting behavior. One of the waitresses told me, "you can pay here but you need to wait for your waitress" in a very demeaning and unattractive manner. Funny she said that, because as she was finishing her sentence, a very nice, well-mannered young man closed our bill; who, may I add, was not our server. Aside from their shitty customer service, the hookah was shit and the Pina Colada tasted like a pound of sugar, rotten pineapples and vinegar topped with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. I came here a few times last year and it was just awful. The service was incredibly slow, the manager was just an asshole and the waitresses were rude, and the only good thing about the place was the hookah guys. Their hookah is decent and the food is bland. I went again about two months ago and we got this really sweet waitress, she was really nice and it was the first time we actually got FAST service there AND everything extra (more ranch, etc) instead of previous times where we were just ignored. We went last week and requested her and it turns out she's not working there anymore but we hoped the experience would be good anyway - nope, the service went back to sucking again. The sucky service just isn't worth going to this place. The cold drinks are too warm and the hot drinks too cold, food takes forever, and everyone ignores you. No one has any idea what they are doing in that place. Plus outside is like a cluster-fuck, it's just too stressful and inside is hot as hell. Just overall a terrible place. read more

If their goal was to create a space where their guests can meet all their expectations from one place then they get a five star From me. First of all poor customer service and work ethics. Secondly I happened to stop by with my girlfriend for hookah and I requested to be seated at a table which was for 8 people only, the owner approached me instructing me that I have to purchase 200 dollars worth of food or hookah without including the tip for the waitress. I agreed tand took the seat after ordering everything on the menu with 2 hookahs the tab was roughly 170 dollars. The owner returns and tells me that I'm 30 bucks short and that I had to spend 30 bucks more let me say this he is filthy demanding and barley knows how to talk to someone. After I told him I ordered everything off the menu he turns around and tells me to buy hookah flavor for 30 bucks, I agreed and he brings out this 50 year old hookah flavor in a military food jar with a completely different flavor then what I asked for (waitress never got a tip) because of his fat boss.
