We hosted an event here and it was absolutely beautiful. The area where we were, while outdoors, was still warm with heat lamps and had a lovely glow due to the nice lighting. The service couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. And the buffet was not only amazing - but our guests were raving about the food. Great experience here and I highly recommend! It's open late, and an easy way to catch up with friends. I noticed some people playing games, or hanging out alone, studying or working. I'm here almost every week it's a super chill spot to catch up with friends and relax or to do school work. The food is is really good and for a good price. Staff is so so pleasant to talk to and are always ready to help. Hookah price is really good they don't overcharge and any issues I've ever had they staff is always there to help. A nice place to chill as well as get your Hookah fix after a days work, I often meet my bro here and have always had good luck with the servers except that one time where I think she forgot to enter our order and ended up waiting for our fries for at least a good 40 mins but most of the time they are very prompt (depends on who takes your order I guess) Their menu offerings are ample (good fries) I wished they have more beer selection though (Chimay *hint*). We always come here late so seating wasn't a problem. Overall, I think Gitana is pretty chill amidst the not so promising reviews and also like in most European cities, gratuity is already included in your tab so it pays to check your bill before you sign on the dotted line. Such a disappointment. Came here for dinner on 1/11/2023. Arrived between 5-5:30pm. gentleman that worked there was very nice. Greeted me and seated me immediately. I was waiting for a friend and while I waited I ordered a café latte. The latte came out quickly and was strong and pretty good. When my friend arrived we ordered our food. I believe there was a change of shift and that's where it goes down hill... Ambiance: Sucks. You are seated outside surrounded by tarp, literally... with very dim lighting. Seating: Patio seating only Food: food was just ok. Nothing spectacular. I ordered the beef kebob. Served with rice and a pita. It would been nice if there was a refreshing salad served on the side. Parking: plenty of parking attached to the building. Service: When I first arrived, the service was great. The gentleman that was there (at around 5-5:30pm) was great. After our food was served, that was it. No came to check on us to see if we needed anything. No one provided us with water. There was even a moment when one of the workers moved the heater that was next to our table to another table. This worker sis not even ask us if it was ok. He just moved it. I thought that was really disrespectful and rude. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this place. Needless to say I will not be back. Good luck! read more

Love going here. The staff is always so friendly and very professional. The food is always tasty, whether I order the fatoush salad or a wrap it's always delicious. Their hookah is one of the best in town. They have variety of flavors and they can make combo of anything you like. Also, their flavors don't burn fast. There's been times that we've smoked the same packed head for over an hour without any struggle. Along side of having a full liquor bar, they also serve Starbucks drinks. How cool is that?! You can have your salad with your macchiato drink and hookah :) A huge plus is the parking structure they have which is free and very convenient. The Ambrosia and white peach (Hookah flavor of course) is so yummy, with so many layers, and long lasting taste. The food is fresh, and yummy. I used the word yummy way too liberally. They spaced out all the tables and chairs to maintain social distancing. Also worth noting, disposable hose is used to prevent cross contamination. Staffs are persistently with masks. I've never had service like this at a lounge before. I ordered a martini, took a sip and realized that the entire cup was covered in dust which had touched my lips!!! In addition to that, we waited over an hour for hookah which never came. After asking multiple times for an ETA on the hookah, we were told "they're making it" while people who arrived after us got theirs minutes after ordering. I should've listened to my boyfriend when he said "shitty hookah and shitty service". I don't even write Yelp reviews, so this was pretty bad for me to have to do this. How do I begin? Headline: Disgraceful Establishment. I have not been here for an ample of time and decided to revisit this place and give it a shot. As I sat with my friends, no one greeted me or even bothered to come up to me as ask if I needed anything at all. I had to hunt for a representative at this place for them to provide me with service. Continuing on, I caught the attention a female representative and told her what kind of hookah I would like and put in the order with her along with a water. Water arrived 20-25 minutes later, no big deal. However, the real disappointment occurred when I was waiting for over 40-45 minutes for them to bring my hookah. I don't mind waiting if the hookah is amazing but typically well-versed hookah lounges bring it out within the first 10-15 minutes. I felt more regret and disgust when I inhaled the first puff of the hookah. It tasted straight up like garbage. The hookah packers suck at what they do and it was quite shameful. One thing that cannot be brought back is the time I wasted to receive the hookah and inadvertently being provided a hookah that I define as "crap". I immediately confronted another male representative about my concerns and how bad it was and they were able to take that off the tab. I do not recommend anyone to visit this establishment. How is this place still operating? They lack basic customer service and the workers are quite draconian by avoiding their patrons. The worst part was the hookah. I immediately resorted to another hookah lounge and would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Gitana needs to step up and read the reviews and concerns to better their establishment. read more

I went to Gitana to attend a private event. I love Middle Eastern food and I wasn't disappointed! The appetizer platters were great, loved their fresh feta cheese, falafel, hummus, kebbeh balls. Everything was delicious, very enjoyable, fresh and tasty. The decor is just OK, a tad stiff for me with white table cloths, etc. But if the food is good...I liked their White Zinfandel, light and fruity. I did like the food so much that I wanted to go back. It has a very convenient location in downtown Burbank, but each time I went it was closed, I don't know if they have more private events or what? It does say it's opened from 11 am to 2 am but not the few times I went! So, if it's open, check it out.
