Omar, Owner of Giovanni's Nicholasville, is the epitome of outstanding customer service!
Michael S.

Giovanni's Nicholasville is excellent. We've enjoyed everything that we've ordered & eaten. The customer service is excellent. Owner, Omar, is--without a doubt--the epitome of top-shelf customer service. The pizza is excellent, from the fresh ingredients to the best crust you've ever tasted, you can't go wrong. The lasagna is very fresh & tasty, definitely made to order. The calzones & sandwiches are a "can't miss", too. Their Red Dressing is totally legit! *Omar & his Team take all COVID-19 safety precautions, whether you opt for delivery or pick up/takeout.

He never washes hands.

Better than average pizza buffet and a very friendly staff. Better than Cici's or a Pizza Hut buffet for sure. Definitely recommend.

Then you pick your food up and you bus your own table. The food was fine. I got the gluten-free pasta with Marinara sauce and grilled chicken. My partner got gnocchi with the arrabiata sauce with grilled chicken. It took FOREVER to get our food and it wasn't that busy. In fact the people behind us got their food before we did; which I assume was because of my gluten-free item. When we did get it, it was missing my chicken. He got his chicken but I did not. So they brought that out separately. The meals were steaming hot which was great, but I then had to assemble my meal. And honest to me it was spicy on my tongue. Which I am going to guess was because of the amount of salt in the dish. And really the worst part is we were going to sit outside but the tables were disgusting and not clean from previous people eating out there. And based on the fact we bus our own tables I am guessing they do not get clean often. It is unfortunate. You got to the bathrooms and there is a window looking into the back. You can see them doidishes and the assembly line of pasta to go. They are so worried about all that but cannot keep the resturant clean so people can enjoy the food. They must really rely on take out and to go.

I lived in the area in the early 2000's and fell in love with Carrabba's while living there. Was always packed. Fast forward to now... it's never been what I would even call close to busy when we've gone. I'm not sure why. Our service has always been excellent and we have enjoyed our meals in a quiet atmosphere. Perfect. We. Love. Their. Chicken. Marsala! Their Caesar salad is our favorite. The bread is great, but that Chicken Marsala never misses. Great meal for a decent price.

She spent most of her time standing around with other waitresses talking. We were seated as far from the kitchen as you could be and she was so loud yelling that we could hear every word. There was a small child sitting at a table alone that the wait staff kept checking on. Not sure if this was an employee's child that they brought to work with them. As we were about to eat, the hostess seated a man and his dog across from us. It was not a service dog. As the waitresses surrounded the puppy the owner explained it was 8 weeks old and he just got it yesterday. He sat the dog in the chair, on the table, and walked it across the restaurant, in which the wait staff pet it then went back to waiting tables. Our waitress then sat at the table with the child (close to the hostess podium) and other waitresses and yelled across the restaurant to the kitchen to order herself an Italian salad. The food was awful. We ordered the chicken parm and mezalluna. The chicken was beaten paper thin and the pasta was room temp and flavorless. We added the spices they bring for the bread to the dishes in an attempt to add some flavor. $50 for water, two entrees, and a very disappointing lunch service. Based on our dining experience, we do not recommend this restaurant and will not return.

I love the au jus but what really makes it special is the fresh bread! This is my new favorite sandwich. I read another review. It said that it didn't have much flavor, but mine certainly came with huge flavor and was seasoned well.

We stopped into Sutton's on Valentine's Day last minute, which is basically the restaurant…read moreequivalent of showing up to a wedding without RSVPing. So first -- major credit where it's due: the service was fantastic. It was busy, it was chaotic, it was love-in-the-air level packed... and our server was still kind, attentive, and genuinely great. It was a little slow, but honestly? On Valentine's Day? Totally understandable. Now, let's talk food. The meatball appetizer? Outstanding. If the whole meal had that same energy, this would be a different review. Those meatballs came in like the confident main character. I ordered the Chicago beef (hot instead of sweet), expecting bold, juicy, maybe-a-little-spicy goodness. Instead... it tasted like someone whispered "beef" from another room. I kept waiting for the flavor to arrive. It never did. I'm not saying it was bland, but salt might have been an optional add-on. My husband ordered the Manzo Parmesan pasta. He eats medium rare. This steak was blue. Not "a little under." Not "oops." It was grazing-in-a-field-five-minutes-ago rare. If it mooed, I wouldn't have been shocked. BUT -- we need to talk about the music. The playlist was elite. Every song that came on was something off my Apple playlist. At one point I genuinely wondered if they'd somehow tapped into my phone. 10/10 vibes. I was half expecting my "On Repeat" playlist to start playing next. All that said, the staff truly did their best on one of the busiest nights of the year, and we appreciated that. The bones of a really good experience are there especially if the kitchen can bring the same magic to the entrées that they brought to those meatballs. Would we try it again? Maybe but next time I'm ordering whatever the meatballs are having... and asking for the playlist.
