We just finished up at a ballgame for our kid. Everyone was craving some pizza. The establishment is clean, the man at the front of house took our order and was patient with us deciding what we wanted. We got two deep dish pizzas, some friend mushrooms, and drinks either cannolis. The mushrooms are wheels, they're huge! I loved them. The sauce with them is chunky pizza sauce but absolutely perfection. Our pizzas were filled to the brim with cheese and topped with that delicious chunky pizza sauce. The crust was nice and not soggy, the cheese pulled excellent, the toppings or filling rather were well done. I couldn't get a better deep dish pizza unless I went home, to Chicago! However, the cannolis left a lot to be desired. Just overall lacked flavor. read more

I hadn't heard of Rosati's until recently when I ran across a very positive review. So positive, in fact, and knowing that I love to try new (for me) Chicago-style deep dish pizzas AND realizing Rosati's was close by, I made my way over for a carry out order AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED! I knew essentially what I wanted--deep dish with pepperoni and Italian sausage. And eyeballing a similar pie being enjoyed by a nearby couple, I was sure about what I wanted. I did ask them if they had ordered extra cheese (which I almost always do, but doubted I needed, given the style of pizza) and they said no. The pizza chef and waitress confirmed that my pizza would have two pounds of cheese, plenty of cheese, even for a turophile (cheese lover) like me. Placing my order, I impulse-ordered 6 honey bbq wings, so that I could share my experience with wings, as well as pizza, with Yelp readers. The pizza turned out to be amazing! It was huge and felt like it weighed 20 pounds. The sauce was tangy, with nice Italian herb accents and the cheese was out of this world! Rosati's Pizza uses a fresh, real mozzarella cheese sourced from Wisconsin, which is shredded daily and paired with a grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor. They specifically use low-moisture, whole-milk Wisconsin mozzarella cheese that is grated fresh from the block to ensure a creamy, gooey, and flavorful result on their pizzas. Enough said, I'll be back!!! Oh and the wings were excellent. Huge and meaty and some of the best I've eaten. I ate 3, but had I eaten 6, I would have been pretty full, even before touching my pizza. Lastly the sauces...I ordered garlic butter and marinara--both delicious and the portion size ran huge. Possibly a third of a cup per sauce. As to the restaurant, I'm posting pics for you to take a look. In short, it's a fairly medium-small space. But, well-lit, with big screen tvs tuned to football, and both booths and tables. I've been remiss in not having visited Rosati's before. But no longer...it's my favorite deep dish in Lexington now. 10/19/24 My husband and I came here as we were seeking a place that would sell pizza by the slice. We got here too late for anymore fresh slices. So we ordered a combination pizza of half Hawaiian half white sauce pizza. We also got some jumbo wings, which weren't very jumbo for the name. As well as a couple cannolis. The pizza was excellent! The wings, I will have to pass, as they weren't jumbo and the flavors of the sauce just didn't hit my palate how I liked. Lastly, the cannolis were not my favorite either. The service was top notch, as the owners took care of us when we came in. The place is very clean and welcoming, definitely a good spot to watch the game and have some good food. We went there to get some Chicago style food and this place did not disappoint. They have gluten free options as well. We ordered the cheese bread, a Chicago style pepperoni, and a dipped Italian beef sandwich. My daughter said they had the best cheese bread she's had in a long time. The Italian beef and pizza definitely did a great job delivering those tastes of Chicago. The staff was friendly and they have one of those self serving beer stations. We got the deep dish. I hadn't had a deep dish pizza in ages, but this one was pretty good. Very tasty! Wish it would have come out a smidge warmer though. The place was nice and clean, and there are like 6 huge TVs, which was nice to watch football on. Also ordered one of their pastas and the pour it yourself beer. Beer is charged by the ounce and ranges from .27 to .50 for beer and up to 2.00 per ounce for margaritas and wine. While the food was good the service is horrible. Our pasta never arrived and when we asked about it we're told it was almost ready. 15 min later we were done with all of the other food and asked for a refund which they did give after some trouble finding our order. As we ate we watched nearly every single table and take out order have some sort of problem so it wasn't an isolated incident. If you decide to try them out come equipped with patience and check your orders to ensure they are correct. read more

Everything thing is great and especially the pizza which we prefer the thin and even the small is nice size and very filling and nicely topped. I go just about weekly and I'm attempting to try everything on the menu. The last time I went for their Chicago dog and had to get seconds plus they check on you to be sure everything is good and even the owner which I don't know when he gets a day off but comes out and checks up too. Chicago transplant here who, back in the day, had a Rosati's just down the street from our apartment in the 90s It's Rosati's plain and simple, meaning great pizza, etc. -- and they do Italian beefs and other good regional treats. We ordered barely a week after they opened. The order was going to be 75 minutes. We smiled, because that's how it should be when you're a new place in this town with a lot of hype. AND because we were adding a deep dish to the order, which takes a lot longer to prepare and cook. The classic (true Chicago style) thin crust is just like it is up north. The deep dish; same. Check and check. It's definitely "Rosati's" As far as the wait time -- Give it some time for equilibrium to settle in. I'm happy there's a long wait time right now. Great start for this new franchisee. Pro tip for takeout/delivery: Order your pizzas "uncut", unless you have a group waiting, and are going to just set it down and devour immediately. Especially with deep dish, you want the pie uncut, so it can "rest", kind of like taking a pumpkin pie out of the oven and letting it set up before you cut into it. You can then put it in a warm oven when you get home, cut as you wish, and enjoy. read more

Had heard a a-lot about this place, both good and bad. After eating here today, I have nothing bad to say about it. The service was great and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We were told it would be about a forty minute wait on the deep dish and it was almost exactly that. Ordered a ten inch deep dish with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and onions. Everything about this pizza was very good including the tomato sauce. I'm a huge fan of Chicago Deep dish pizza! So when I found this spot on yep while traveling for work I had to give them a try. I ordered online and picked up. I got there a lot later than expected and it was actually close to closing time but the pizza was waiting for me. Got it back to my room and dug in it immediately! I must say, it's one of the best I've ever had. And that was on the reheat zapping it for 30-45 seconds. It would have been much better had I picked it up on time and it was still hot and fresh! Even eating the leftovers and zapping it, it was still delicious! I'll definitely order it again while in town! I'm pretty sure all of their pizza options are just as delicious! It quoted 30 min for pickup, but I felt it would take longer. My husband got there about 40-45 minutes after ordering and it was ready, fresh and hot. The food was good and I felt it was timely. So we tried going 2 weeks after they opened and were told it was at least an hour and a half for a deep dish pizza so we decided to wait a little longer to come back and try it. Well last night we put in an online order at 5:20 to be ready at 7. We arrive to pick it up at 7 and it's not ready. It's finally done at 7:20. So this is frustrating, the restaurant isn't even full.
