We had such a great birthday dinner Friday night! The food and drinks were all fantastic, and Cooper was an excellent server! I like the tree inside the restaurant too.

This eatery was recommended by some friends as one of their favorites when visiting Lexington. Reservations were sold out all week and we happened to get one for tonight. Our waitress was lovely, very on the ball, prompt and friendly. You can tell the place fills up but with many different room-ets the body of people is broken up and maintains a more intimate feeling. We ordered the cornucopia from the Autumn menu which was fresh, well prepared and nicely seasoned. The majority of veggies were hot and the beets were chilled which was a nice contrast and the pistachio pesto underneath was a nice touch. Acorn squash was fab. Side salad was huge especially for $3.50 pricetag. Meatballs were nicely seasoned and tender. They had a little red pepper kick to finish. The cider chop was amazing! Thick pork chop, brined for 24 hours to make it tender and juicy. Paired classically with white beans, and a modern twist with fried onions and sautéed apples. This dish is a must. The disappointment of the evening was the chicken parm. It was soggy and the chicken was tough. It's a staple item that should be done well to bring people back, however, with such wonderful, non traditional items on the menu, venture to eat those instead!

At first it took a while for them to give us a table, we were 4 adults and 5 kids, but overall the atmosphere was so nice! I loved the vibe in here! We got a whole bread before our food definitely tasted fresh! I ordered a Lasagna, to be specific Fresh Mariana! I loved it, it look so delicious and fresh! I totally recommend to visit this restaurant with family and friends to celebrate an event! loved it!!

Back to Lexington, and Bella Notte is a safe good restaurant. I wasn't very hungry so I thought about the Fettuccine Alfredo, but I wanted chicken until my grandson said I could add chicken. My wife had the pork chop but ordered it medium well that was overcooked. My grandson had the Penne Fresco, with my daughter having the Pappardella Cinghiale. All was well. The desserts were exceptionally tasty. The strawberry cake was top notch. The service was timely.

They do not have " outdoor dining " , that is false advertising , i stop by and told them the maps showed an outdoor dining area, they said no we don't have, but instead they show moved that out of maps

Lemon ricotta cake (Spring dessert special)

Oh boy! I am so happy I got to eat here!! I started with an Aperol spritz bc it was almost 80 degrees outside so I just had to. The house bread was so pillowy and soft! The manicotti primavera was perfect for a hot spring day but also when I wanted to eat pasta!! Well portioned, you get 2 manicotti filled with delicious seasoned ricotta covered in super fresh lightly grilled spring vegetables. It was perfect! I finished my meal with one of their spring desserts, which was a ricotta, lemon cake with raspberry cream icing. Once again the somehow was able to be both light and also decadent at the same time; truly would recommend! Stopped in for an early dinner after I got out of work. The staff were so friendly and kind. The hostess hyped me up as she sat me at my table saying "oh, you're gonna love eating here." And she was 100% right!!! My waitress (I think her name was Mackenzie, awesome purple glasses!!) was so kind and deserves all the praise! She did not make me feel awkward for dining alone! Thank you!! Inside the restaurant feels cozy, and cute, not stuffy, and with plenty of dining spaces so that you are not cramped in with other guests.

The atmosphere is pretty and unique. Service was friendly. The food was really good but I'm not a fan of the oil served with the bread. I feel serving a ladle of sauce with the bread would be a great way for customers to try the sauce and wouldn't be costly. Also, the water had a really funky taste. Overall, I recommend trying this place if you like Italian food.

Bella Notte is one of my favorites! You really can't beat their food and several people I know don't even realize it's not a chain restaurant. It's local! Local Italian just the way it should be. I've been coming here for years. Honestly can't believe I have not written a review. The ambiance is incredible. They have designed the main dining room like you are dining out under the stars complete with a beautiful lighted tree in the center. The service is always wonderful. I can't think of a time where it wasn't which is saying something about their constant attention to hiring the best staff who truly care. The food is the star here. If you love pasta you can go wrong with any choice but my favorites are their chicken fettuccini and chicken Parmesan. If you are looking for something lighter do sleep on the Tuscan meatloaf. Sounds strange but it's amazing. That spicy tomato jam they top it with is next level. The pork hop is also great and they offer a scallop special quite often that I have never been disappointed in. To go along with the meal they offer completely fresh baked bread and fresh herbs/olive oil for dipping. You can also request fresh whipped butter. It's divine. Can't wait to go back!

I went to Bella Notte for a friend's birthday celebration. The place was packed on a Sunday. They were able to accommodate a huge group of 16 people. They had huge ample parking. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. The bread rolls were a nice start. I got the wood grilled salmon Salad and they were very filling. The toasted pine nuts on the salad made it crunchy. The salmon was cooked to perfection. My friends got pasta based dishes and they said it was good as well. It's Italian cuisine, so of course I got Cappuchino after food. A perfect way to end the meal!

Still hits the spot. Scallops special--an absolute must

When we used to live in KY, Bella Notte's was a special treat. Now, as spoiled Cali residents, this place still hits the spot. The scallop special is an absolute must. Make sure to call ahead to check if they have it. My husband is a fan of their meatballs and that dish didn't disappoint.

We went for an early dinner after seeing Lexington and antiquing. The restaurant is very quaint. Love the horse stable theme. The dinner was a bit too heavy for the sweltering heat. I ordered the Ceasar salad which was drenched in dressing. And for my main course, I got the lasagna which had way too much oregano. The table started with the fried mozzarella (delicious!) For dessert, I had the panna cotta which was OK. Service was as excellent!

Piccata Classico. Should be renamed to chicken tender over drowned pasta.
Carl S.

How times have changed. Been here a few times over the years and always enjoyed. Tonight, we should have stopped with the bread and olive oil. That was the best part. The Piccata was almost laughable. I have never seen a fried chicken tender passed off as chicken piccata. My wife had a couple of bites and was done. Couldn't finish. I had the chicken saltimbocca and it was average. Service was fine. Don't think we will be back.

Great date night, quite soft music and other talking to have a good conversation with your date or party. Most pasta are between $16-22 for the half portion. Which is enough for a full meal. Big loaf of bread and olive oil to dip in! No drinks, just 2 pastas for 2 is about $46. Dim lighting, cool atmosphere, fire places sets the mood.

Don't overlook these delicacies. The arancini have a crispy crust and a wonderfully gooey cheesy inside. They are seasoned well. Accompanied by a red and pesto sauce that pair well. The pesto was especially tasty and begs for a pasta dish with the same sauce. I also ordered the Matuffi Lucchese. The polenta is fantastic and the hearty wild mushroom ragu is seasoned to perfection. The butternut squash soup was light. It was the weakest dish and I feel lacked salt. The faina was the most surprising item and I am so glad I tried it. . This chickpea pancake was slightly crispy at the edges with a luscious center. Ignore the butter in the photo. It was offered with olive oil and I always prefer butter, but it did not need either. The cannoli were amazing. Whipped mascarpone was genius. I've often found ricotta heavy. These were very light. I must note. I am gluten intolerant and watch what | eat. The menu is very gluten free friendly with notations and substitution possibilities (including the cannoli shells made with almond flour). My server, Gustavo, was the best. He timed my dishes perfectly and accommodated all my requests graciously and efficiently. He was the cherry on the top of a memorable meal.

So first -- major credit where it's due: the service was fantastic. It was busy, it was chaotic, it was love-in-the-air level packed... and our server was still kind, attentive, and genuinely great. It was a little slow, but honestly? On Valentine's Day? Totally understandable. Now, let's talk food. The meatball appetizer? Outstanding. If the whole meal had that same energy, this would be a different review. Those meatballs came in like the confident main character. I ordered the Chicago beef (hot instead of sweet), expecting bold, juicy, maybe-a-little-spicy goodness. Instead... it tasted like someone whispered "beef" from another room. I kept waiting for the flavor to arrive. It never did. I'm not saying it was bland, but salt might have been an optional add-on. My husband ordered the Manzo Parmesan pasta. He eats medium rare. This steak was blue. Not "a little under." Not "oops." It was grazing-in-a-field-five-minutes-ago rare. If it mooed, I wouldn't have been shocked. BUT -- we need to talk about the music. The playlist was elite. Every song that came on was something off my Apple playlist. At one point I genuinely wondered if they'd somehow tapped into my phone. 10/10 vibes. I was half expecting my "On Repeat" playlist to start playing next. All that said, the staff truly did their best on one of the busiest nights of the year, and we appreciated that. The bones of a really good experience are there especially if the kitchen can bring the same magic to the entrées that they brought to those meatballs. Would we try it again? Maybe but next time I'm ordering whatever the meatballs are having... and asking for the playlist.

As we were about to eat, the hostess seated a man and his dog across from us. It was not a service dog. As the waitresses surrounded the puppy the owner explained it was 8 weeks old and he just got it yesterday. He sat the dog in the chair, on the table, and walked it across the restaurant, in which the wait staff pet it then went back to waiting tables. Our waitress then sat at the table with the child (close to the hostess podium) and other waitresses and yelled across the restaurant to the kitchen to order herself an Italian salad. The food was awful. We ordered the chicken parm and mezalluna. The chicken was beaten paper thin and the pasta was room temp and flavorless. We added the spices they bring for the bread to the dishes in an attempt to add some flavor. $50 for water, two entrees, and a very disappointing lunch service.
