I decided to try the cauliflower crust pizza due to cutting back on carbs. I ordered the "Davinci's Special" and all I can say is "wow!" This is not only the best cauliflower crust pizza I've ever had, but this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I'm shocked at just how great this pizza is. I've always loved their regular flour crust, but I actually believe the cauliflower crust they offer is better than their regular crust. It's only available in the 10 inch size pizza, and cost a little more, but it sure is worth it. With most places closed on NYE in the Frankfort area, we decided to come to DaVinci's for food. We seated ourselves in a booth and were quickly served water and given menus. There's some Italian decor, hanging jerseys, and Kentucky state themed decor. It has your standard pizza/wing place type of style--relaxed with some sporty casual notes. The servers continuously checked on us and other seated guests to make sure all needs were met, and they were very attentive! Their menu has a lot of appetizers (like garlic knots, wings, cheesy bread, etc.), tons of pizza, Stromboli and calzones, basic pasta, and drinks. They offer both soda and alcohol (beer and wine). We ordered 10 count cheesy bread to start which was perfect for 2 people as an app. It comes with a garlic butter sauce and cold marinara. For the main I considered getting pasta, but the only sauces offered are Alfredo and meat sauce (no plain marinara), so I opted to just go with pizza. We split the 10" Davinci Special, which was also more than enough for two people. The pizza was good and cooked well, but not incredible. There was nothing less than good about it, but the quality was that similar to screaming Sicilian. I would be curious to see how some of the other specialty pizzas taste--maybe the Davinci tasted too similar to a Deluxe pizza for me to really feel something special about it. They have a broad range of specialty pizzas, so I'm willing to give this place a try again if we ever come back to the area or for a late night bite. read more

Definitely the best pizza in Frankfort, perhaps even in the tri-county area. A bit pricey, but totally worth it because the ingredients are far superior than any pizza chain. I have not eaten inside, usually order online and pick up in the convenient drive-thru window. I do know that the server Patsy is top notch. She worked at the local family owned Chinese restaurant for decades until they closed. We ordered take-out while we were in the Frankfurt area. The pizza was done much sooner than we expected, and unfortunately, it was a bit undercooked for our tastes. However, when we reheated it, and the crust crisped up, it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Trying to find an open restaurant in Frankfort on a Sunday evening can be difficult. After looking at several options, we chose DaVinci's, and we were glad we did. The pizza (veggie) was very good, as was the Italian salad we ordered. A medium pizza and a salad were plenty of food for the two of us, leaving some pizza for breakfast the next morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that they tend to leave the tables unbussed, which makes the atmosphere in the restaurant seem sloppy. read more

We were planning to order online and pick it up when we got there, but their online ordering was not available - not sure why. When we got there, we noticed they had a drive thru and decided to use that. I guess that is only used for orders already placed, because when we pulled up, they asked for the name on our order. We had a group of 28 eat there today. The service was very good and so was the food. They were able to accommodate us all and still have all their booths available for other customers. I love DaVinci's pizza. IMHO this is one of Frankfort's best. The pizzas are delicious. I love the crust, the toppings are fresh and plentiful, but the sauce is the reason I love it so much. Also, don't pass up their salads. The House Salad is my go-to. Fresh, with a generous serving size--and if the Bleu cheese dressing isn't homemade, I would be surprised. Love this spot and so grateful that they were open during Covid when nobody else was! Everything on the menu is good, and portions are huge. My only complaint is that the pizza is sooooo salty. Then they add seasoning on top which adds more flavor but also more salt. I don't even want to know the sodium level on their pizza so if you know, please don't tell me!! Love their salads too. After talking about going to DaVinci's we finally got there for lunch today. The only sugar free drink without caffeine is water. The pizza on the buffet, about 5 varieties, was hot and fresh even though we arrived after normal lunch time, about 1:30 pm. There is no salad at the buffet. We did not look at a menu. 12/1/18 So after leaving my previous review the owner asked me to give them another try and we had lunch here today. Again, the pizza was fresh, hot and tasty. This time I noticed that the crust is greasy but tasty, as mentioned by another reviewer. Our server this time, Tierra, was attentive and offered dipping sauces; garlic butter, ranch or marinara. The buffet is still pizza only and salads must be ordered off the menu. That being said, it's good for what it is, a pizza buffet, and I give it 4 stars for that. Adding salad to the buffet would make this a better choice for those who want to have a variety of pizza, but consume something besides pizza and want/need to limit their carbs, and would increase my overall rating. However since there are other buffet options in town which include a salad, we will be there instead. read more

I needed to update this review since the restaurant has had a change of ownership and has been renovated. There is now a bar where you can get draft beer and local bottles of wine. Since the hubby and I are all low carb, we only ordered salads and hot wings. (I can't say how the pizza is). The wings were on the smaller size, which means they came from smaller chickens, I guess. It comes with blue cheese or ranch. The ranch was pretty good. The blue cheese is Ken's dressing. I know this because it comes in a packet. The wings were pretty standard. The salad was huge. I asked for extra veggies on my salad like mushrooms, olives and spinach. They accommodated any veggies I asked for. I got the grilled chicken and bacon on the salad. The salad ended up being so big I took over half of it home and for 8.99 it was a total steal! So why only 4 stars, the service was a little wonky. It took a while to get menus and drinks. Stopped in on a tight schedule with 8 people for lunch 3 days ago. We were immediately seated. Drink orders were taken as we browsed the menu. I must say there are many great options at this restaurant! After only a few minutes, the drink orders arrived and our food orders were taken. I chose the Johnny Boy 10" pizza. All the food came out in 12-15 minutes which is quite good for the variety ordered. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. There was a bit of sampling others pizza and calzone. But last night we went to the restaurant he had the calzone, I had a small personal pizza and we split the Caesar salad. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and they did not disappoint! Now mind you it sounds like we absolutely pigged out, but we didn't! We brought it home and ordered more for leftovers. Their food is very authentic and I think they're pizza is the best in town! We arrived the day after Christmas to find a LARGE line of cars at the drive-thru. This concerned us and encouraged us at the same time. We were worried that we might have a wait for our food while dining in but knew the place had to be good to have a line of that size.
