Give this place a visit. We came in at 10am after eating breakfast at a near by diner. The owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the bourbon we were asking him about. The ambiance we really nice too.

    The beautiful historic building!

Capital Cellars is one of my favorite spots in Frankfort! The new owners are making some amazing changes and the place just keeps getting better! Great selection of wine and bourbon, with a friendly staff there to answer any questions. Definitely check this spot out if you're in the area!!

We found Capital Cellars almost by accident and were so happy we did. I would recommend it to anyone coming to the Frankfort area. It is located in an up and coming area with lots of shops and restaurants and bars. The store must be a hub for the area. It was bustling but in a good way. Friendly patrons coming in and out. There was a free wine tasting when we were there. The bar is stocked and the staff is super friendly. The store has a great selection of wine. It is definitely one we will stop back in when we have more time to visit. Highly recommend!

Very nice evening sharing a bottle of wine and our favorite Capital Cellars sandwiches, the "Distillers Delight". Love the atmosphere here, even after a quiet evening

    Amazingly knowledgeable and helpful staff

Ok, what's not to like? Amazing wine and bourbon selections, extremely knowledgeable staff AND a bar AND food!! We just had the best time here buying bourbons recommended to us neophytes and drinking delicious cocktails. If you are in Frankfort, don't miss this place!

A small, but nicely decorated wine bistro. Soup, cheese plates, sandwiches, and a few other items. Not quite a dinner menu, but enough for any meal. The house Cab was excellent, as well as the Malbec. The Bourbon selection is amazing. A small bar, a small casual indoor dining area, and also seating on the sidewalk.

    Here is the bourbon.

Quirky little wine bar. Great selections, some fun snacks. Visit every time I come. The locals are fun, smart, and willing to chat. Love it!

You can stop by whenever you feel the need to taste some wine, tequila or bourbon Hannah, the manger, is so sweet. She reminds me of Joanna Gaines. She's one of those people you feel like you know and want to be around. Just a beauty inside and out. She was the only one there and had a few guests to help and she said she was having a bad day but you'd never know. She made my bf and I feel more than welcome and took care of us. We got a small charcuterie with nuts, meats and cheeses and added olives. The charcuterie was not what I was expecting from a winery. It was more of an adult lunchable than charcuterie. The cheese was like that precut Cracker Barrel cheese found in the store. I would have like to have had some freshly grated parmesan or mozzarella. Something that would pair well with the wines. I'm not a fan of Swiss. Love Colby jack and cheddar but those don't really go with the wines I had. I got a flight of white wines that are numbered in my 2nd picture. They were all pretty good but 1 & 4 were my favorites. I was able to taste a new wine slush they're offering. I chose the red wine slush over the white moscato one. I fell in love with it. I tried to get one to go but was unable to due to them not having approved to go containers for them My boyfriend got a flight of premium bourbon which he enjoyed. There are lots of cosy places inside and out to sit and sip your favorite drink. We did leave with a bottle of the # 4 wine I liked and garlic sausage though. I will definitely return for a slush!!

Duckpin bowling was $15/person for 1 hour. Not bad, it was fun. We made sure to get a reservation since we went on a Friday night but it wasn't busy at all. We do wish the wine bar or at least the bar on the rooftop had more drink options. Not much we wanted there but the atmosphere is really cool.

When we walked in it was all eyes on us like we had walked in during a private party or something. There was a violinist (who sounded amazing btw) playing and every seat was taken. We walked to the back and there must've been a private party there cause we got looks like who the heck are you and was told there was another floor upstairs. The journey continued upstairs and we met two wonderful ladies that gave us the sitch on how this process worked. You can get online and book your lane or there's a kiosk. There's also a QR code to order food and drinks. It is a little too impersonal for me; but, maybe I'm old and need to suck it up and accept that is how stuff is going to be )I Hope not). Neither one of us were drinking alcohol so the only juice they had was OJ so we went with good old fashioned H2O. They do have charcuterie boxes for $17 which are small. We did have a blast bowling. This is duckpin bowling. It was a mash up of bowling and Bocce ball. We played two games and called it a night. They do have a special on certain days buy one hour get the second free so that's cool. Overall it was fun. I would suggest eating before you go. The charcuterie is small. I would definitely go again. Just don't go expecting good food & games.
