Glad to be back sippin in the bluegrass state! Just so you know: Lexington is a great spot, with big city perks but without the congestion and other big city woes. You can wander around and find something that suits your fancy! Harvey's was my first stop, and it's a great vibe and ambience for an after work hang. There's a back patio I didn't visit, but the interior is super cute. Only food option is charcuterie, but definitely with very generous portions. I liked our plate but would recommend checking out some of the nearby restaurants if you need more food. Now realize KY sets the bar high for bourbon; hence the one star deduction. I was underwhelmed by my boulevardier. They do have a sizeable cocktail menu, and my friends seemed to enjoy their selections. read more

The perfect classy cocktail spot! The inside has a beautifully curated ambiance, and the outside is the perfect place to hang out on a warm summer night with the girls. I love all the seating options and you genuinely feel like you are in a fairytale garden wonderland! Their Nate-spresso Martini is an obvious go-to classic, but they have an extensive menu packed with unique and creative drinks. I recently tried The Emperor's New Grove and it was a delicious mix of blueberry and lavender, a beautifully balanced and refreshing combination that I would highly recommend. Overall, great drinks and a stunning atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to hang out, especially if you are celebrating or just looking to enjoy a fancy night out. read more

We like to go here for a cocktail or two when going on a date downtown. They make really good drinks at a reasonable price. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive. You must be over 21 to be in this bar due to limited food options. They serve cheese board type of stuff. read more

Cool little spot in downtown Lexington. Great cocktails (love the hickory note in the old fashioned), fun vibe with a wide range of patrons (college students, travelers, young and old(er) professionals...all happily mingling). It's not a huge space, but even when crowded there seems to be enough space to maneuver. Bartenders are fantastic. Stop in! read more

Beautiful space as part of a collective with other businesses on the block (check those out too). Surprisingly full on a Thursday night, but we didn't have to wait long. Such a cozy vibe to sip on a martini with friends, I loved it here! The whole bar ended up singing happy birthday to a girl so that was a fun community moment. I didn't pay for my drink that night so can't comment about the prices, but the dirty martini was great. Would return read more

Terrible service. Dirty! The smell of the place is enough to make you puke. Lots of dirty tissues laying around and the seating looked extra vintage and worn. Yuck read more

Great downtown bar with a good crowd and great bourbons. Fable Charcuterie is inside and I love it. The best part of this place is outdoor space! There is the Luna food truck with great snacks and hot food and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm on vacation in my own town. I highly recommend this place especially on a nice sunny afternoon. read more

Delicious drinks inside a cool space! I love the concept of The Grove with their multiple businesses inside. The space is so pretty and set the scene perfectly for our evening. Harvey's Bar supplied the drinks and the indoor seating. Charcuterie was from Fable - see my review for them too. Despite it being a busy Saturday evening, service was both friendly and fast at the bar! Their cocktail menu was interesting and we found fun, tasty options we both enjoyed. read more

Great cocktails and an inviting and interesting space with a variety of seating options. Visited on a crowded afternoon, but the bartender was friendly and very efficient while balancing some large-scale orders. Appreciated the opportunity to enjoy a tasty drink outside on a nice day in a new city! read more

Such a great spot! The short rib was absolutely delicious -- tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere had really nice vibes, with great music and a warm, welcoming feel. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. Perfect place to relax, enjoy some amazing food, and have a good time with friends. Definitely coming back again soon! read more

I love Harvey's! Such a cool and retro vibe, classic cocktails at a decent price (especially during happy hour), and cool hangout options within The Grove. read more

I love this place in the summer, particularly because of the hidden ping pong table in the back patio. I love the fable-like theme, the very awesome and incredibly friendly staff, and the overall vibe more than anything else. This definitely seems like a place more suited for cocktail-lovers, which I am not. I haven't been impressed by the drinks as of yet, and have only had drinks here a few times. The beer selection is limited, but my better experience was when bartender was kind enough to attempt to make a cold brew Irish coffee when it wasn't on the menu and coffee was unavailable, which was impressive considering the limited ingredients and off-the-cuff creation. I have yet to have food here, but the food truck in the summer looked great. read more

My friends and I came here for some drinks before dinner and it was a really cool vibe. It kind of reminded me of a speakeasy, dim lighting, cool furniture. We got lucky with seating but it gets packed quick. I got the mint vodka cocktail and it was so good. read more

This bar is one of my go-to bars to hang out in downtown Lexington with friends. I often come here with my friends who visit me from Louisville and some coworkers from work. It has a great ambiance, drinks, and friendly staff. It can be busy at night, especially between 10pm-midnight, as flocks of people come here before heading out to the clubs as this is their pregame bar. Ordering your next drink when this happens can be a hassle, as it tends to be a long wait. Once you order your drink, head out to their patio area, as it is more spacious and a chill spot to enjoy your cocktail drinks read more

This place has a classy, vintage aesthetic, with a large variety on the drjnk menu. Very cool place to hang out on a evening with nice weather. They had a sign pointing to a beer garden behind the building, but we didn't venture back there. The bartenders were so-so, and the drinks were expensive. Nice cool atmosphere if you're looking for a casual cute hangout. read more

Some of the best service I have ever received at a craft cocktail bar. Our bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and polite. Also, there is a charcuterie board shop inside! It's amazing! The woman working there was maybe the most amazingly wonderful person on the planet! 10,000 STARS! read more

Really good service, great ambiance. I'd recommend having a good Friday night drink here.

Bartenders-rinse your bar ware after cocktails! If you don't your cocktails are muddy! I watched for a couple hours...

Love this place! Great atmosphere and the service was great. We went there both nights and every was so friendly.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff! I had the espresso martini and it was really good! They have a lot of great looking drinks! Such a fun place to hang out and get drinks before a concert. read more

From the cozy couches to the amazing curated cocktails by amazing mixologists, Harvey's sets itself above the rest. There are several very fine places in downtown Lexington that will provide their own unique service and style but the folks at Harvey's are a step above. Whether you're just down for a single cocktail or ready to make it your home for a few hours, I strongly recommend stopping by and giving them a try. I have been going here for a couple of years now and love every time I walk in. My favorite cocktail is the Old Fashion with their very own barrel select Knob Creek... A pour you will remember... Oh, and tell 'em Greg recommended it! read more

Walked in. Sat at the bar. There were about 4 people total in the bar. The bartender looked at me and continued to have a conversation with a girl he was interested in. I waited a couple minutes. Got up and left. read more

Harvey's is not my cup of tea, and honestly I think they struggle from an identity crisis. We stopped in based on the nice bar setup patio outside once we got INSIDE we quickly realized this is a dive bar/lounge? They have very few beers on tap and not a large local selection. Their cocktail list was very strange. My boyfriend got a dirty martini and it was barley 3/4 full and was not well made. I didn't see anything that looked appealing so I opted for a titos and tonic. It was in a very small glass almost like a half size skinny and short drinking glass with a tiny 1/4th quarter of a lemon slice. Products were not very fresh, and the atmosphere left little to be desired. We downed our drinks and quickly moved on :( read more

One of the best bars I've ever been too! Amazing craft cocktails, great bourbon list, chill atmosphere - what else could you ask for?

Been coming here for years and will definitely continue to do so! Amazing staff and a real "Cheers" family atmosphere. Drinks are priced very reasonably for a downtown location and you couldn't ask for a more comfy soace. read more

I want to like this place, I do, but it smells like a bathroom in here. I like that it's not jam packed with college kids (I'm a bit past that stage in my life), but still want to go out and have a good time. It's a good sized place, even for groups, but the smell is so off-putting. If it gets fixed, let me know! read more

I am a very loyal patron. The bartenders are nice. But I asked the dj to play Shawn mendes and she said "' no because you're gay". I was very taken aback. I was shocked that she would not play my people's music. I feel like this place hates The LGBT community. read more

I always thought that this place looked upscale and adorable from the outside. One of those places that you should wear cute dresses and drink complicated cocktails. I met some friends here early one Saturday evening and we did just that. We were earlier than the usual crowd, so we nearly had the place to ourselves and tucked away at a corner table to catch up on life. I loved the silver ceiling, the mirrored bar shelves, and the candlelight. The bartenders were very friendly and the cocktails were inexpensive and delicious. One lone complaint-the hip hop beats hardly went with the old school ambiance-retro tunes, at least until the bulk of the crowd arrives, would really set this place apart from the rest of the downtown haunts! read more
