Bathrooms small but clean. Staff super nice. I went on a weekday afternoon and it was empty, but they were prepping for NYE, which they predicted would be busy. I'm sure it gets busy on the weekends, especially with a college campus nearby. It feels like the kind of "hopping" bar you imagined as a kid, with colored lights, loud energy, and retro knickknacks that look straight out of your grandparents' basement bar in 1986 in Milwaukee. It somehow hits the perfect balance between gritty and fun. And the food? Incredible. Everything tastes fresh and made with real ingredients. The pickles were on point, the burgers were outstanding, and the fries were loaded with toppings--honestly more toppings than fries--and I'm not mad about it at all. My new fave spot when I visit.
