Our bartender was a bit grumpy - I think she was displeased our group opted to sit at the bar instead of waiting 45 minutes for a table. I felt ignored/dismissed for parts of the visit. The pizza skins were basically mashed potatoes on a pizza. They had very little scallions, cheese, or bacon on them.. My friends ordered a couple half and half pizzas. They weren't very good, so there was plenty leftover for me to try. The Italian didn't have any red sauce - which I know is the intent - but the aioli was a sparse drizzle on top, and it was much too sweet. This led to the pie being mostly greasy meat and a bit of cheese on bread, with some overly sweet aioli on top. The beer selection was good. Was downtown getting ready for a concert and went to grab a bite to eat. Only had to wait around 15 minutes to get in, not bad for 5:45 on a Saturday with tons of things going on downtown. The environment was very spacious and accommodating, if you were wanting to watch the game they had TV's everywhere. Service was a little slow, not a game changer as they were packed. Pizza and appetizers did not disappoint. Both arrived very fresh and hot. If you're a beer person they have a ton on tap! Great experience, looking forward to our next visit! read more

Really cool pizza place with really unique choices. That said - I got the gluten free classic and it was great. Parking was a nightmare so be ready for that. Amazing environment and excellent service! Visited here from California over the weekend and our server was super cool, informative, attentive and just fun. He recommended the special they had that day which was a pepperoni, cheese and shishito pepper pizza with hot honey. He DID ask if we liked it spicy but wow he wasn't being modest. It was VERY spicy as the peppers are cooked sliced on the pizza with the membrane. However it didn't take away from the incredible flavor. We just removed a couple of peppers to make it tolerable for us but it was still delicious, cheesy, crispy and not overly doughy. I absolutely recommend it if you're into SPICY foods. It was really great and their menu is really extensive too so there's something for everyone. Definitely coming back. read more

So good we went twice! I was in town for work and was staying at a hotel not far from here. We were wanting to find something within walking distance and stumbled on to Pies and Pints and I'm so glad we did because I LOVE pizza! My 2 coworkers and I walked in and were seated right away. The restaurant is large and has a few different areas. There's some seating/tables to the right behind the host stand then a bar as you walk in. Past the bar there's plenty more tables and booths for seating as well. Our server greeted us and took our drink orders. They do not have a full bar, but they do serve wine and beer. For food, my coworker and I decided to share a salad and pizza. We ordered the Spinach Salad and the Classic Pizza. They were delicious! So delicious that we decided to return again before leaving and ordering the same thing! The entire menu looks great and I had my eye on quite a few other things. 1 Star The pizza at Pies & Pints Pizzeria was excellent, and the beer was cold and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, none of that mattered due to the worst customer service experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The female bartender working the evening of January 7th during the UK basketball game was extremely rude and inattentive. She never asked how our food was, never asked if we wanted another beer, and every interaction required us to track her down and ask. Each time, she gave off the impression that we were inconveniencing her just by ordering or requesting anything. We even had to ask for silverware. Service was painfully slow--she moved at a snail's pace--and there was no sense of urgency or care for customers. To make matters worse, after we left a 20% cash tip (which I honestly debated leaving at all), she didn't say thank you, have a nice evening, or acknowledge us in any way. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially given how good the food and drinks were. Poor service like this will absolutely drive locals away, and management should address this immediately before it impacts the restaurant's reputation further. read more

Our favorite place to go to in Lexington before a concert or a game at Rupp Arena. Lots of seating inside and by the bar. Bar is small though. Lots of good craft beers and pizzas! Happy Hour was from 3-6 M-F so we got our beers for $1 off and $2 off an appetizer. We got a few IPAs to start out with, and we shared the chips and house made salsa. The salsa was really good but they need to give you more to go with all of the chips that you get. Our server was super nice and checked on us many times. We got the Nashville Hot Chicken pizza which was fabulous! Then we went and sat at the bar for a few more pints. I really liked the White Elephant, a collaboration between Fat Head's brewery and Pies and Pints. It's an American Blonde Ale and was so refreshing. read more

I just want to start this off as I'm not a big fan of pizza but this location was picked as a meeting place for my job. I will say I was surprised. The space is bigger than you think! It did have awkward seating for the large group we had but it all worked out. Appetizers were ordered for us - pizza skins and pork and pepper nachos. They were both good. The pizza skins were my favorite- a complete surprise at how delicious they were! For my main dish I ordered a side Caesar salad and the char grilled hot wings. The salad was fresh and crisp. The wings were actually really good! The mix of the sauce on them were good! The pizzas that came out for the others looked amazing and you will have leftovers. Overall I would go again! read more

This place was great. Had an excellent experience. Staff was wonderful. Very kind and knowledgeable. I think our guy was Luke or Luka. He was spot on with his beer recommendations and steered me in the right direction with a porter. They have a wide selection of beers. Anyone can find something they'll enjoy.. The food was outstanding, particularly the wings. Unreal and unlike any other wings I'd had. I went home and asked ChatGPT to take the description of the wings from the menu and concoct a recipe so I could attempt to make something similar at home. That's not something I'd ever do, but they were delicious. The white pie was fantastic! Huge swaths of ricotta and roasted garlic cloves were tactfully placed on the pie. Great crust. No flop. Our most recent experience was a bit disappointing as our server failed to bring silverware after we asked, and we were served the wrong pizza. Great salads with generous portions, delicious Wings, and tasty Pizza Pies. They have a great selection of beers on draft, and will offer samples to test before you commit to a pint. They also offer half pours for half the price of a full pour if you want to try different beers. Any place can do good food and beer, but what has kept me coming back is the customer service. Ate here on Saturday around 5pm. The restaurant was not busy. I asked the host if we could please sit near the front window, plenty of tables. The server sat us near the back, in the dungeon dark and as far from the window as you could get. I asked her if we could move up front, plenty of open tables. She said NO, it's because of sections and that wasn't her section and she needed a tip. Honestly, I was about to leave because of the attitude. They were friendly and accommodating for our party that had a gluten allergy and dairy intolerance (our friend said the cauliflower crust was amazing and they also used Daiya vegan cheese which she said was good too!).
