    Boom Boom Shrimp

Food was really good tonight! I had the chicken Gorgonzola Alfredo. My wife had the boom boom shrimp and French onion soup. She enjoyed the pixie stick martini equally as much. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

    Chicken Philly Sandwich with chips

We arrived before they opened and they opened on time and greeted us with friendly smiles and good natured banter. After sitting for a little while at our table, I found it be cold in this restaurant. It was 40 degrees outside but it felt like the A/C was on inside. I went back out to my car to get a sweater because my coat was too heavy to wear and eat. There are many interesting photos on displayed on the walls all over the restaurant. The theme seems to focus mainly on the Prohibition Era which I found very interesting because I like history. I ordered the Philly Dip Sandwich with Au Jus and their signature Horseradish Sauce which thankfully came on the side. Being able to dip a traditional Philly cheesesteak sandwich in Au Jus was outstanding. I loved it. The sandwich was served with potato chips which seemed to be homemade. Pretty good. She ordered the Chicken Philly Sandwich which came with grilled mushrooms and banana peppers. The peppers were melted in with the cheese. She loved her sandwich even though it was a tad dry and would order it again.

I really like this place and tonight did not disappoint. It's a solid choice for family Italian and it's not a chain. Locally owned and Gordon, the owner, is always there working hard and making sure that the operation runs well. I like it.

Yesterday was my second time into Sutton's within the past few months, and I should say it's been consistent. The appetizers were so good. We shared the fried banana peppers and the bang bang shrimp. The banana peppers had a unique but delicious flavor and were served with a horseradish sauce. The bang bang shrimp were crispy but sauced with bang bang. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo which was some of the best Alfredo I've had in a while. My husband ordered the Baked Chicken & Broccoli and raved about how delicious it was.. The dining area was clean and had a nice vibe to it. We will certainly return!

    Chicken Parmesan - lunch portion

I enjoyed lunch at Suttons. I like that they have a lunch menu ($10 or less) with some of their pasta dishes in smaller portions. I did have to ask the server to bring this menu as we were first only provided with the regular menu. I tried the Chicken Parmesan. It was very good and the lunch portion was the perfect amount for me. Service was good. I really like the decor and ambiance as well.

A quite good, moderately priced family-owned Italian restaurant. It's our go-to place for comfort food.

Salads ( Caesar and Gorgonzola) were forgettable- neither of us finished. Enjoyable space. It was busy and lively without being overwhelming loud. Negative is parking. Sometimes it's just a one-night stop, sometimes a few days, but we always take her out for a proper dinner. This trip, arriving from Chicago and following my chiropractor's enthusiastic recommendation, we chose Giuseppe's, and it turned out to be a very lovely evening. The space is warm and inviting, with plenty of wood, cozy lighting, and an impressive display of bourbons and wines that immediately sets a welcoming tone. We started with gnocchi and mozzarella alla milanese. The gnocchi were nicely al dente and the paired sauces complemented each other well. My husband and I shared the daily special, halibut with a light creamy caper sauce. The fish leaned slightly overcooked, but the flavors were still very enjoyable, and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly done. Our friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and after one bite I understood her happiness... rich, creamy, and comforting. Dessert became a celebration: a Spumoni Bomba (three gelatos wrapped in a chocolate shell) and a warm maple cake with ice cream that was honestly sinful in the best way. Our server, Tim, didn't make the strongest first impression but warmed up quickly becoming attentive and pleasant. Cocktails could use a little more polish, my Old Fashioned was a bit harsh, and I was surprised a Boulevardier wasn't available despite a Negroni being on the menu and bourbon well represented. Overall, a very good experience and a wonderful dinner with friends, not bad at all for just a brief stop in town.

Instead of making customers feel appreciated, they made me feel like I needed to rush through my order and get out of the way. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, not one where you feel like you're inconveniencing the employees. I ordered the chicken piccata after asking the employee for a recommendation. It's a classic Italian dish that's typically served with a light lemon-butter sauce, tender chicken, and thin pasta. What I received was nothing like that. The pasta was made with oversized noodles that completely overwhelmed the dish. Even worse, there were so many thick strips of onion that they looked like more pasta. After digging through the mountain of onions just to find the chicken, I finally took a few bites, and the flavor was incredibly disappointing. The sauce lacked the bright, fresh taste you'd expect from a chicken piccata, and the entire meal was heavy, unbalanced, and simply unpleasant. I couldn't even finish it. After only a few bites, I threw the meal away and walked out. It's extremely rare for me to abandon a meal, but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Do yourself a favor and pass on this restaurant. Between the unfriendly service, the rushed atmosphere, and the disappointing food, there's simply no reason to spend your money here when there are so many excellent Italian restaurants to choose from. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend it to anyone.
