    Pretty dining area!

I was lucky enough to check this place out twice during my trip and each time, the service was EXCELLENT! I made a special request for a Kentucky Hot Brown, which wasn't on the menu, but one of the managers made it happen and it was DELICIOUS! The next morning, I had breakfast and, again, received REALLY good service! You guys are doing everything right!

This doesn't look like 4 hotel's restaurant. First of all, I had hair on top of my eggs!!! the top of the pepper container was off, half of it got on the omelet. Also, the hotel's renovating right there in the dining room. This only star goes to our server that was great and did an amazing job!

    Veggie frittata!

I was recently in Lexington for a conference and I needed a quick bite to eat for breakfast. Since the Triangle Grille was located in my hotel (the Hilton Lexington Downtown) I thought I'd give it a shot. I have to say, I was pretty impressed. I got the vegetable frittata with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and swiss cheese. It was really good, well cooked and flavorful as were the hashbrowns and sausage that came with it. It's not the best breakfast I've ever eaten but it was certainly preferable over fast food and a nice choice for a quick breakfast when out of town!

Food was amazingly bad. Not edible. I would avoid this place at all costs. Not eating is better than that.

Clear example how a great chef's hard work gets melted by poor server.

The shear number of bottles on the bar will keep your eyes moving about and hard to focus on anything else. For food, I had the wagyu meatballs and couscous salad. This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.

This was from the February 2026 menu…read more I can't begin to stay enough nice things about Millstone. From the ambiance, the staff, the chef, and of course the food; going and experiencing what they have to offer ranks among the top places in Lexington. With no shortage of well crafted, elegant, and new restaurants out there in Lexington right now; Millstone excels at elevating the familiar to level that Lexington has been waiting patiently to see. Even a solo visit can feel extraordinary at Millstone. On my visit, Amy M was absolutely amazing, her attention to details and perspectives allowed me to fully enjoy the experience from beginning to end. Before getting to the food, I must admit that the space is truly special. To have such a welcoming and warm environment in a historic location with an addition that feels just as natural as the rest of the building is truly grand. This alone helps you feel so at ease in the space right from the beginning. With my meal, I enjoyed both their schoolhouse old fashioned with house-made bitters and their black manhattan. Both are expertly crafted with care and attention to detail. If bourbon is not your thing, there's a plethora of other cocktails, wines, some beers, and even nonalcoholic options which is also a refreshing change that I welcome all restaurants to embrace. As for my meal, first off you will not be disappointed by any of the portions, everything that I had and saw coming out of the kitchen will leave no one who comes to Millstone hungry. Additionally, the menu is both simple and expansive. There's an offering for just about any appetite. For my starter, I was actually stuck on what starter to get because all of the items sound so good!!! I ended up selecting the crab cakes with fried green tomatoes and let me tell you, they are absolutely delicious. The batter on the tomatoes was perfect, the crab delectable, and the remoulade was very well balanced and provided the right about of heat to the dish. For my main, I had the braised short rib. In full transparency this is one of the pricier entree's but it is absolutely worth it! The short rib is done so well it melts in your mouth! The potatoes are creamy and expertly seasoned to pair so well with braising jus, the honey brussel sprouts, and root vegetables. This dish is a tender love letter that you want to keep reading and enjoying time and time again. Halfway through my meal Chef Tyler even came through the dining room to meet with patrons and talk to them!! As it was earlier in the evening, I was so appreciative to see him interacting with the patrons and when he stopped by it was so nice to speak with him and pay compliments to him, Amy, and everything they're doing at Millstone. To end my visit, I enjoyed the brown butter mascarpone cheesecake. Brown butter is already such a wonderful treat, but to have it with a cheesecake was top notch!!! This was truly a wonderful visit and I can't wait to go back and enjoy another offering from Millstone

The ambiance made it feel like a special place to celebrate. That said, there were a few areas that could be improved. The food would have been better if it was seasoned. Way overpriced for the quality given. We were seated at a two-top, and the tables were extremely close together. Unfortunately, we could hear every word of the conversation happening right next to us, which took away from the intimate date-night experience we were hoping for. The drink and bar service was also quite slow. Our dinner ended up taking nearly two hours from start to finish. Overall, the atmosphere was the highlight of our visit, but the seating arrangement and pace of service made the experience less enjoyable than we expected for a special occasion.
