A friend recommended Minton's and I am glad! It's a cozy place with friendly staff and a menu with something for everyone. The coffee was great as was my brunch on a bun sandwich. The accompanying tater tots were cooked to perfection. I loved the unlimited water and coffee (they fixed me up with a coffee to go as well). I look forward to visiting again soon!

Cool location on National Ave. They have great outside seating space but may not of had the staff for outside seating. I sat at the bar and got coffee ($5 bottomless), chorizo tacos with Mac and cheese on the side. The Mac and cheese was ok. It needed a little more salt but was really cheesy. I feel like the tacos needed spice since they were chorizo and a touch more salt. The server was nice but it took longer than expected to get my food. I noticed it took a while for everyone. The server said they are waiting on a liquor license to serve alcohol.

The new location is great and as of March 23, 2025 they have not been issued their liquor license yet. Despite that they were busy and steady on Sunday at 1:00. They have an amazing menu and it's definitely not fast food service but it is worth the wait. I usually get the Breakfast on a Bun but this time I tried the Croque Madam which is one of my favorite brunch dishes but I had never tried it her

Good food, friendly servers, and comfortable outdoor seating! I enjoyed Minton's and will likely be back. I recommend coming here for a solid breakfast.

We had brunch at Minton's for the first time. I got the savory French toast after seeing everyone rave about it on here. It was really good. It almost tasted like a breakfast pizza with the tomato jam and pesto hahahah. Then we got 2 variations of the French Toast breakfast. One with the berry compote and one with the banana pudding. The breakfast was great but the French toast was a little soggy. It wasn't my favorite. The service was excellent considering we came in fairly close to when they closed. They have great music playing and the location has parking.

It's a cute spot but was definitely firing on half cylinders. The service was very poor: we were seated and then forgotten about. Never checked in on us. Waited 30 minutes for our food and eventually had to go in and check on our meal. Pretty sure our server didn't even ring it up because it came out 5 min later super hot (so likely did a rush order). We even had to go in to ask for our check. The most disappointing part of service is they didn't tell us the specials and when another server told another table the specials, we would have ordered the sweet potato waffle with peaches instead. Womp womp. They were decently busy but not mobbed, but that's expected for a weekend. The food was disappointing. I got The Lucy: a vegan Italian sausage with vegan mac and cheese and tater tots (the vegan version of their signature dish). The sausage and mac and cheese were flavorless, and it was impossible to eat: way too much mac and cheese on top. I ate half because I was so hungry and we waited so long. The tater tots were crispy and tasty but fell apart as soon as you touched them making them hard to eat. My mom had the cinnamon roll pancakes and though the pancakes themselves were well made and fluffy it was just way too sweet with too much cinnamon sugar (yes cinnamon rolls are sweet but these were totally out of balance). We could only get through a few bites and left most on the plate. They really need to work out the service issues and balance the flavors of the food. Jeremy Ashby is such a talented chef that I'm disappointed and frankly surprised at this showing.

We drove by the restaurant initially only because it's a tiny little place (and the fact that me & hubby weren't paying attention AT ALL lol!). We got there at about 11am on a Sunday and got lucky getting a table because the place was busy. I said already it's a tiny space, seating capacity I would guesstimate around 30ppl max between the inside and outside areas... we dined inside. Sadly I did not take a pic of the inside of the restaurant. Diner-style service, pretty small menu, decent prices, interesting French toast creations. All male staff that day... service was good, a bit of a wait for the meals but not too bad. PROS -convenient location -friendly staff -casual diner/small country home setting -reasonable prices -interesting menu items CONS -my clothes smelled strongly of food (cooking smoke from the kitchen)... next time we'll sit outside! -food presentation was a bit inconsistent For the record, next time I'm in Lexington, KY I'm heading back over for the creative French toast options :)

10/10 brunch spot! I can't wait to try more of the menu. I came here for a solo brunch and it was so good! There is a ton of seating (indoor and outdoor). I waited a little while for my food but I'm honestly not mad at it. These days food comes out so quickly, it doesn't seem made to order anymore. I'd prefer to wait 15-20 minutes at a sit down establishment if I know my food will be delivered hot and fresh. They also had a wonderful playlist!

I have been a longtime fan of Minton's food, and the quality did not change since they moved! The new space is larger and clean, The weather prevented us from exploring the patio space. Waitstaff was kind and allowed us to sit with drinks while we waited for a table to open up. Food was delicious as always from both the breakfast and lunch menus. It is hands-down my favorite brunch spot in town!

Saturday was the grand opening of the new location on National Ave. It's nice, offers lots more seating, and sit down table service! I got tempeh tacos and my friend got tiramasu pancakes which is big and took most of it home lol. My tempeh tacos were pretty good. Both had coffee, good service. I look forward to seeing how this new location is in summer too, since there's garage doors that can open.

Really delicious food, the main dining area can get a little loud when it's packed, but that's anywhere. Overall great service and fantastic food!

Had a wide variety of tasty options. Our server was very helpful and offered suggestions. We opted for the Savory tots which had just the right amount of seasoning with a lovely aïoli. We sampled the tomato bisque and were pleasantly surprised by the crunchy seasoned croutons. I ordered their special Fried Green tomato BLT which came with tots. The bread really made this sandwich a hit. My husband ordered their Tiramisu pancakes. They were good pancakes but tasted more like marshmallows with chocolate and the flavor was only on the top unfortunately. My husband and I agreed that the food was great and we would come back just because their menu has so many delicious options!

Elvis Pancakes! Peanut butter pancakes with bananas foster syrup! Definitely a Sweet Treat! My Favorite!!

This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.

This was from the February 2026 menu…read more I can't begin to stay enough nice things about Millstone. From the ambiance, the staff, the chef, and of course the food; going and experiencing what they have to offer ranks among the top places in Lexington. With no shortage of well crafted, elegant, and new restaurants out there in Lexington right now; Millstone excels at elevating the familiar to level that Lexington has been waiting patiently to see. Even a solo visit can feel extraordinary at Millstone. On my visit, Amy M was absolutely amazing, her attention to details and perspectives allowed me to fully enjoy the experience from beginning to end. Before getting to the food, I must admit that the space is truly special. To have such a welcoming and warm environment in a historic location with an addition that feels just as natural as the rest of the building is truly grand. This alone helps you feel so at ease in the space right from the beginning. With my meal, I enjoyed both their schoolhouse old fashioned with house-made bitters and their black manhattan. Both are expertly crafted with care and attention to detail. If bourbon is not your thing, there's a plethora of other cocktails, wines, some beers, and even nonalcoholic options which is also a refreshing change that I welcome all restaurants to embrace. As for my meal, first off you will not be disappointed by any of the portions, everything that I had and saw coming out of the kitchen will leave no one who comes to Millstone hungry. Additionally, the menu is both simple and expansive. There's an offering for just about any appetite. For my starter, I was actually stuck on what starter to get because all of the items sound so good!!! I ended up selecting the crab cakes with fried green tomatoes and let me tell you, they are absolutely delicious. The batter on the tomatoes was perfect, the crab delectable, and the remoulade was very well balanced and provided the right about of heat to the dish. For my main, I had the braised short rib. In full transparency this is one of the pricier entree's but it is absolutely worth it! The short rib is done so well it melts in your mouth! The potatoes are creamy and expertly seasoned to pair so well with braising jus, the honey brussel sprouts, and root vegetables. This dish is a tender love letter that you want to keep reading and enjoying time and time again. Halfway through my meal Chef Tyler even came through the dining room to meet with patrons and talk to them!! As it was earlier in the evening, I was so appreciative to see him interacting with the patrons and when he stopped by it was so nice to speak with him and pay compliments to him, Amy, and everything they're doing at Millstone. To end my visit, I enjoyed the brown butter mascarpone cheesecake. Brown butter is already such a wonderful treat, but to have it with a cheesecake was top notch!!! This was truly a wonderful visit and I can't wait to go back and enjoy another offering from Millstone

The ambiance made it feel like a special place to celebrate. That said, there were a few areas that could be improved. The food would have been better if it was seasoned. Way overpriced for the quality given. We were seated at a two-top, and the tables were extremely close together. Unfortunately, we could hear every word of the conversation happening right next to us, which took away from the intimate date-night experience we were hoping for. The drink and bar service was also quite slow. Our dinner ended up taking nearly two hours from start to finish. Overall, the atmosphere was the highlight of our visit, but the seating arrangement and pace of service made the experience less enjoyable than we expected for a special occasion.
