Had been here for breakfast before and loved it. We were in town last night and decided to hit up Winchell's for dinner. I loved it. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was easy to find parking and it was not a long wait for a table. Love the sports decor especially the movie posters. We started with the fried mushrooms and they were fantastic. Love how thin the breading is. It's almost like a tempura batter. The creamy horseradish it comes with is bomb. I had the grilled bbq pork chop and woah was it good. Cut like butter. Had great bbq flavor. Was nice and THICC. The Mac and cheese as a side was mid but I didn't even care because of how good the pork chop was. My beautiful and brilliant wife has the buffalo chicken sandwich and it ruled. Loved the creamy jalapeno sawce she got with it. Packed a little spice. Can't wait to be back.

A neighborhood sports bar that offers a very welcoming environment with great service and friendly patrons. Great food and a truly unique menu with affordable prices.

A chill sports bar/restaurant. The drinks are okay but the food's pretty good. The caramel appletini was very much apple and caramel. That's the best way I could describe it lol. I got the fried chicken dinner and it was super fresh and crispy. Planets of chicken too, you can lowkey share. Mac and cheese was pretty good, but the highlight was the broccoli honestly. I don't even like vegetables like that, but the broccoli was cooked to perfection. I also got some banana pudding to go which was pretty good as far as banana puddings go. This is a classic southern food spot. I probably wouldn't choose to return on my own, its not exactly my scene but I wouldn't mind returning with some other people.

The food was amazing. Try the fried chicken. Jeri, our server was top notch. She knew what I wanted before I did. It's a sports bar so there's that.

This is the first place we went to on our trip to Lexington and we were so glad we stopped in cause we were excited to try a Kentucky Hot Brown and this came up when we did a search. It's an unassuming place in a strip mall. Plenty of free parking. Walked in on a Saturday at brunch time only to discover they were only serving brunch! Wah! We wanted hot browns. Asked our delightful Gal if it was possible and she went to check for us, returning to say since they weren't too busy they would make them for us. Score! I ordered the smaller one, while Husband got the regular one. Let me just say I do believe we could have shared just the "smaller" one. They are so very rich, so very big and so very good! Quality ingredients. Yum! We could tell why this restaurant/pub is so popular with the locals.

This is definitely a place I'd drive past. If it wasn't for Yelp reviews, I never would've stopped here as the location and exterior is not attractive. I'm happy we gave this place a try though! The theme is definitely inconsistent and confusing. The interior looked very "lake side diner" and the Christmas lights cheapened the atmosphere. However, our waitress was very friendly and the food was hot and fresh! Probably one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever had! The bread was perfectly toasted so it didn't get soggy but wasn't so crunchy that it'd tear your mouth up. The fish and chips were hot and tasty and the cole slaw tasted fresh! The portions are a good size! I feel rebranding would be very beneficial for this place. "Winchells Sports Bar" really does a disservice to the fresh food inside.

We had dinner at Winchells. The restaurant is down home southern food, seems fresh and much of it is locally sourced. It has the feel of a mom and pop diner, but much larger. The customers seemed liked locals. There are numerous mounted TVs and a bar. The food was really good and well seasoned. I had the fried cat fish, green beans and mac and cheese. The fish was well prepared and the green beans were delicious. The mac and cheese was soft and creamy but not that flavorful. My husband had the fried oysters, broccoli and baked sweet potato. All were pretty good. Although the restaurant is southern styled, they will prepare the meat grilled or blackened, if desired. The dessert menu is expansive, but we didn't order any. The server, Emily was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. A very nice experience, tasty food, good service. If you are looking for a "home cooked" meal, this is the place. We will return.

Stopped in for breakfast, I hadn't eaten here for a couple of years again it did not disappoint. When i walked in it was clean and the hostess was helpful. Ryan was courteous, attentive, great service. The breakfast plate presentation was nice, food was hot, flavorful and yummy. I will visit again soon. Thanks

I eat here once every few months. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd eat here often. The food is always fresh and good. Prices are reasonable. The staff is pleasant. Just a good old fashioned neighborhood feel to the place. I like that. I finally tried their fried chicken on Saturday night and it was perfect. Hot, crispy, juicy, flavorful. I saved the thigh for lunch and it was delicious cold. Both sides were good and the beer was cold. It was a 5 star visit as far as I'm concerned.

Do they serve breakfast all day?

I beleive the menus said until 11:30 am except for Sunday which was 12:30. I am pretty sure on these times, but not certain.

She comes to the table right beside us asks how they are, we wave at her, she then proceeds to turn around and walk the other way. Okay, accidents happen, whatever. What really started to rub us the wrong way was we watched her spend 10 plus minutes at a table of boys who looked a little young for her talking and twirling her hair. At this point we all finished our drinks 30 plus minutes ago. I'm starting to get thirsty af! We see her on her phone in the corner still refusing service to our table. Eventually food is ran to us by some kind young gentleman (thanks!!!). Missing all of the sauces we requested (usually not a big deal but considering we had no clue when we would see her again lolol). Also, still no new drinks. Time goes by and we eventually have to ask another woman to go find her. Almost 10 minutes later, Morgan returns!!! Yay!!! She takes our drink orders. We wait a bit. That's never a big deal because I understand that bartenders are busy. She eventually brings them out, unfortunately missing 2! Great! FINALLY, we get the rest of our drinks. Proceed to sit there and wait. Eventually have to ask another older gentleman to get our checks. He then waves down Morgan and she finally gets back to us. I get having a bad day, but watching you treat other customers with 10x more respect and attentiveness is just frustrating. Lack of consistency. We had reservations but ended up getting there early and just had our dinner at the bar. We both had cocktails which we enjoyed along with the deviled eggs for an appetizer. The eggs were okay--a bit spicier than I would have preferred and I would probably try a different app next time I go (there will be a next time for sure!) My shrimp and grits were great but honestly the bourbon glazed wings that my fiance had were the show stoppers. Large sized wings that were smoked perfectly with the right amount of crunch topped with a sweet but not too sweet bourbon glaze. I will definitely get those next time I go. The vibes were casual and chill--the perfect place to pre-game before a game or event or the perfect place to meet friends for a drink. I'd definitely recommend!

This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.
