Delivery Chicken tenders and fries with homemade ranch and barbecue sauce.
Geneva C.

Have you ever been sitting right beside a treasure but didn't notice it? You know like when the star athlete lives next door to a girl perfect for him but it takes the entire movie for him to realize it? Well this is like that. Well, sort of. You see, in this story, I am the star athlete who has overlooked Banners Grill and Pub for eight years now-- only to have finally fallen in love with the girl-- I mean the grill next door - Banners. This is the story of how we met and how I fell in love. For eight years I have lived a stones throw away from Banners off of Boston Road. I drive by there sometimes four times a week. They are always packed - with cars lined down the side of parking lot. And don't even get me started as to the " big game" days. But despite this fact, when I ordered delivery from Banners the first time-- I was so very happy that I finally did so. The dish, though only lowly chicken tenders and fries- was amazing. The tenders were crispy outside and so good inside. And these were no regular tenders - each one was half the size of my whole hand. And then the fries. Crispy and delicious. Oh and the ranch. That glorious homemade ranch. Such a terrific bite. You can't go wrong. I'm so glad I finally noticed the girl next door. Or should I say- the GRILL next door. She's a hidden gem right here in plain sight. Thanks Banners!i

Food looks so much better than ive seen in pictures and it is sooooo good.. service was a little slow but worth it. Very American bar feel... a man stood for the pledge during a game while we were there

The fried Pepperjack Cheese Balls are the best.

Fun place. Very crowded. Good craft beers. An 80's band started at 9:30 and they were great. They have really good traditional bar food. My favorite was the fried pepper jack cheese balls. Everyone at the table loved them. I had the nachos with buffalo chicken and it was enough for two of us. Our friends had burgers and they looked great, big, thick beef patties. I can't wait to go back for those Cheese balls!

Meatloaf Entree with Mac n cheese and Brussels

We wanted somewhere to watch the football games and this was a great spot. They have a nice indoor/outdoor patio. The place was packed, but we found 2 seats at the bar. Hubs had a beer. He had the grilled pork entree with spicy slaw and mixed vegetables. I had the smoked meatloaf with Brussels and Mac N cheese. The Mac N cheese was the star. It was super gooey and cheesy and the shells were perfectly tender.

Big menu. I've never had anything I didn't like. Fried pickles are another favorite. Friendly staff. Around 30 televisions in this place for viewing your fave game.

Potato skins and cheese curds

The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and the atmosphere is great. Stopped to watch a ball game while passing through town, our server was super helpful and even pulled the game we wanted to watch up on the projector for us! Ordered cheese curds and potato skins as appetizers, between the four of us, we couldn't finish either of them because the portions are so generous! I ordered the Grilled Italian Sub with coleslaw for the side, again, very generous portions - could not finish either after the apps. Highly recommend if you're passing through Lexington. It is on my list of places to return whenever I'm in the area!

I came here with friends to watch the epic UK game win, and had some drinks and food. I ordered a few appetizers like cheese curds, fried green tomatoes, and spicy green beans. Everything was delicious and service was quick even with the amount of people here for this game. The drinks were good and the food was even better. I'd definitely return here again in the very near future.

Food is always great. Service is good and food is delivered timely, even though it's usually busy when we are there. We'll be going back.

Best BLT sandwich and hamburger in Lexington. Great wings but they could use one more level of heat. Overall Banners is my go to bar.

Overall a very pleasant experience…read more Due to my food sensitivities, I looked up their allergen menu ahead of time and discovered I could consume two items on the menu: ginger beer, and Enlightened Strawberry Fields Salad (comes with grilled chicken on top). I visited this establishment on Sunday 5/11/25 with three other individuals, one of whom had made reservations for us ahead of time. Thank goodness for the reservation, because the restaurant was full to capacity, even the bar area was completely occupied. I arrived a bit before the reservation time, sat at the bar and ordered a Ginger Beer (a delectable non-alcoholic drink). Cassie was the bartender, and very friendly and attentive. When the reservation time arrived, our party was directed to our booth, which could have used a good wiping down on the seats and a good sweep under the table, but the table top was clean and we all sat down. With it being so busy, I'm not surprised the seating and floor were not spotless. The rest of the group ordered two appetizers: Fried Couscous Mac & Cheese Balls, and Chicken Pot Stickers, of which they all loved both items, but truly raved about the Fried Couscous Mac & Cheese Balls. One individual ordered a BJ's IPA and really enjoyed it as well. One individual ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it was a bit on the dry side, and the waitress obligingly brought them more Alfredo sauce. Other than that, all four of us enjoyed our meals. My Enlightened Strawberry Fields Salad (without cheese or pecans) was very fresh and tasty. Since I'm limited on what I can eat here, I may or may not return...but that has nothing to do with the quality of the food , the service, or the environment.

I have to update my review as my last visit was disappointing unfortunately... we were there for…read morealmost three hours, waited for our appetizer for almost 1 hour; entrees for 1 hour; and dessert for almost 30 min. My food (sandwich) was cold and soggy and the fries were missing... we saw a bunch of people leave because they were not getting greeted, we saw people next to us getting the wrong food orders or just waiting for a long time like us. We did have a new server but everyone else in other sections seemed to be okay. I am not sure what happened as this has not been an issue before here or anywhere else when a server is new. Perhaps they were slammed? Short staffed? No idea. I also had two coupons and asked the server to scan my barcode as stated on the app so I could use them together (he asked another server if that was allowed and he said yes). Then he tried my phone numbers and "nothing came up" and apparently management just said "sorry, at least we got your birthday dessert off"... even though I had the app right in front them? oh well I guess. Had to ask for a box 3-4 times. It was just painful. By the time we finished our appetizer we wanted to go home but couldn't. I wanted to express these concerns in person but my husband did not let me due to the server being new, which I understood. I'll continue to come in because my husband loves it, but I really wish new servers got more training or less tables, as he expressed concern on having so many tables on his second day, maybe he was overwhelmed.

The hash browns were also perfectly seasoned and crispy. As for the service, it was ok. I felt bad for our server as she appeared to be the only one that was tending the bar for the entire bistro and then serving us at the same time. So our service was a bit slow but that's because they had her stretched thin. I plan to go back though.

My…read morefamily and I traveled here to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college and stoped in while shopping. Her demeanor was so off-putting I thought she didn't want to serve us because we were African American. As the only Black people (that I could see) in the restaurant, I thought it was odd that she was pleasant to the white patrons and incredibly curt with us. One of our hot beverages was dripping as she carried it to the table and she not only didn't take care as she placed it but she walked away without offering napkins to clean up her mess. To make matters worse (again), there were not many patrons in the restaurant and at one point we were the only ones in the restaurant and still were not attended to properly. As for the food, my daughter ordered a turkey melt, and got a tuna melt. I ordered the hot ham and Brie, got a weird cold sandwich with what I think was apple sauce as the condiment and couldn't even eat it. I will never EVER step foot in this establishment again and sincerely caution any Black or Brown patrons to skip this one. Spend your money where you're treated with respect. Total waste of our time, and energy. UPDATE: A lovely server named Ciarra came over to check on us and changed the trajectory of our afternoon for the better. She spoke to us thoughtfully and offered to get the GM for us. The GM and Kitchen Manager (Kathy and Betty) were very kind and apologized for how we were treated by their server, Jennifer. I was clear that if I ever came back I wouldn't sit at her table. They even changed our server to Ciarra to ensure we'd be treated respectfully - which we were after the change. I hope for the sake of the Bronte Bistro restaurant they either counsel Jennifer or help her find another occupation because she should NOT be representing this establishment or serving Black/Brown people. My biggest concern are the patrons that never spoke up and just never came back to the restaurant and told others how awful their experience is. I believe in giving people feedback so they at least have an opportunity to improve. However, their small business will suffer tremendously if people like Jennifer are their representative, and I made that clear both to the managers, and directly to Jennifer as a courtesy.
