February 23, 2025 My husband and I visited this restaurant for a double date and were seated right away since it wasn't busy. We ordered the bourbon bowl and fried pickles, and both dishes arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. The service from Chloe was excellent, and the laid-back sports bar ambiance made for a relaxed dining experience. Overall, great food and service--we'd definitely come back! read more

Stopped in today for a business lunch and sat the bar. The bartender took care of us today and was very attentive to our group. I had the KY Bourbon Classic burger and side of sweet potato fries. The burger was hot and fresh with good flavor. The fries could have been a little more crispy. They have a great beer selection. Sports bar atmosphere with games on during lunch today. read more

I've been here 3 times. This time was for chicken sandwich week, got the Beer battered chicken Pb&J sandwich! Was very tasty! I loved putting pb&j on fried chicken sandwich, I never would've thought of that! They let me do a take out order over the phone and had it ready when I got there. They have a big beer selection, 60 draft beers! It's not a place I go out of my way for, but when I'm in the area it's good. read more

Pretty decent burger! I really enjoy the plethora of fry types they have between flavour and cuts. They were excellent sweet potato fries! I can't say this is the best burger I've ever had, but I would not hesitate to come here again. I got delivery so cannot comment on the restaurant itself nor the staff. I did need to order no cheese though to accommodate allergies and they didn't have that as an option so that's my only "compliant" it was melted, but I took it off. Pricing was fair! read more

It's a chain. It's fine. They serve beer and burgers Our server was good (party of 10 is always tough). Burgers are cooked to med-well. No exceptions. That's enough for me to order the chicken strips. read more

If you love unique beers and a neighborhood bar environment then you will love Mr. Brews. The funny thing is I got Screwball and he got Miller Lite. We were killing time before going to Comedy Off Broadway. But hey, everyone around us was enjoying their "Turbo Dog", "Hop Static", and "White Girl Wasted" beers. The names on the wall are hilarious and some are quite potent at 7% alcohol We didn't eat here this time but have had their burgers before and they were delicious!. One more thing that I like is when a bar has a real dishwasher! I hate to see bartenders dip glasses into water and reuse them . Yuck! read more

Peanut butter on a burger might sound weird, but it works and tastes so delicious! The bruschetta burger was so good too. It tasted like pizza turned into a burger. We got both fresh cut fries and shoestring fries. I can't decide which was better. They were both great fries. It only took about 5 minutes for our order to come out and we devoured that food. I'll definitely be back here when I'm in Lexington. read more

MBT is steps away from the Staybridge Suites of South Lexington - seemed like a good place to try. Food - pretzel and beer cheese appetizer, KY Bourbon Burger Bowl with BBQ mayo, and boneless wings were all good. Food came out quick and hot. So many adult beverages on tap to choose from... but CiderBoys Caramel Apple was as good as sounds (and smells). Our server Catherine A. was sweet and personable. She answered our questions about MBT, UK football parking, and the area. She offered a number of food options when asked for her recommendation with a smile and genuine opinion. We were able to purchase growlers of the cider and found out they will fill growlers if you bring your own. Already considering going back to MBT for lunch tomorrow! read more

Better than average bar food, fish & chips was plentiful and the hand cut fries were tasty. Waitress was very attentive. Clean establishment, nice selection of beers on tap. read more

I had the Fish and Chips. The portion was not huge, but the execution was excellent! I had a bite of my son's burger salad and the burger was made in-house or at least locally. But now........ the Service! Ashley was our server. ASK FOR HER! She is exactly what every server in a Craft Brew establishment should be, but rarely is. Some how, while only working weekends, she is very knowledgeable about the product (beer), and polite and attentive. She was worth the trip from Pittsburgh!!! The ambiance was brewpub! Exactly, what I expected, with video games thrown in. read more

I stop here when I stay in Lexington on business at the hotel across the road. There are so many IPAs that I don't even know what to do with myself. I love craft beer places like this, and Mr. Brews takes it to another level... it's overwhelming how many beers there are. The food is great, as far as bar food goes. I love that you can add seasonings to your fries. I always stumble back to the hotel slower than I made my way there, but I'll always be back the next time. read more

Passing through Lexington and staying the night was looking for a place that had local craft beers and food. This place was close to our hotel. What a real nice place the service was great the beer menu had plenty to choose from. The food menu was bar fare. I ordered the Kentucky Bourbon Classic burger it was a very good burger, cheddar cheese l, grilled onions, fried onions, bacon and Kentucky bourbon mayo. Burger was cooked the way I wanted it. I had the Pub Grub fries really good beer cheese sauce, green onions and bacon. I had two very good refreshing beers Lemonade Lager and Pa Pa Pa Pilsner. A very relaxing place after 7 hours on the road. read more

Great happy hour, great food amazing draft selection (see photo). Savannah gave us great service and was a fantastic beer tender! Relaxed ambiance, very casual. Would definitely return next time we're in the area. Pro tip: they were offering 15% discount if you're staying at the Staybridge suites across the street. Not sure how long that will last, so jump on it! read more

Awesome food. Great arcade games for kids, and the servers are very kind! Definitely recommend this place.

This was for a DoorDash delivery during COVID 19, so I can't rate their indoor dining experience or their beer selection. I got the plain cheeseburger, the All American Burger, which was fine. A little overdone for my taste, but not super dry. Not really seasoned. I ordered it with beer cheese sauce, which was undetectable and flavorless. The fries were average shoestring fries, but were salted and peppered. I also ordered the Mac n cheese, which was not seasoned, and a little mushy (this could be due to delivery). They have heavier fare, such as Mac n cheese burgers, jalapeño popper burgers, fries covered in cheese and bacon, as well as wings and other pub fare. This might be fine for someone who wants pub food and craft beer. But for me, this was an average meal. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. read more

One of the best beer selections in town. I'm not a big burger fan, and I think that's what they do best. They did make a good burger the one time that I ordered a burger. They also have hand-cut fries that are very good. It's not the kind of place that I would go way out of my way for, but it's not bad food. If you want the best local food don't go here but if you want to drink beer and watch a game or catch up with the guys, it's a great place to go. read more

Wound up there one afternoon. We sat outside on the patio to have a beer (Abita TurboDog) and soak up the warm weather, which wouldn't be around much longer. Didn't care for the inside. Not my kind of place. Just being sociable. 128 read more

Let me be clear and say that I am reviewing the food and not the beer here. I did not imbibe on my visit today. First, I really like the small atmosphere here. You have a feeling going in that it's small enough that you're going to get great service, and you do. Our server was excellent. Drinks were refilled before hitting level zero. She was all over it. My wife went with the All American burger, my son with the California burger, my daughter with chicken tenders, and I went with the Ragin' Cajun Chicken sandwich. We had a variety of potato based sides, including fries, Parmesan fries, and Parmesan chips. How was it all? It was decent. It was good, not great. The burgers were, in my opinion, under-seasoned and uninspired. They were just good. The same could be said with the chicken sandwich I had and the chicken tenders. The fries were, well, soggy, and the Parmesan seasoning didn't really help there. Now, if your thing is a ton of craft beers, this might well be the place for you. But I'm about food first and beer second. I'll take great food and a Coors Light in a bottle any day of the week. There are better burger places in the city, such as Bad Wolf. In the end, I left a U.S. Grant poorer and a little disappointed. read more

So this place is in a little strip center next to Meijers grocery and it always appears to be packed so we decided to stop in. It was 5:30 on a Wednesday night and the bar was full plus half of the tables were taken. It's a taproom and the beer selection doesn't disappoint. I'm not a beer drinker but the choice of ciders was great (Try the peach flavor!) We ordered the "Pub Grub" which reminded me of another bar's crack fries. They were very good and it was a huge portion. We also tried sliders - love the rolls they come with and the Brews-Chetta Burger, sooo good with a Parmesan garlic bun, havarti cheese and tomato bruschetta topped with a basil pesto mayo Service was great and everything was priced right. I highly recommend and I hear they have live entertainment on weekends. It also looks like a great outdoor seating area when it warm read more

Let me start with, I will return in the future. I had the hamburger with peanut butter and it was awesome! Our waitress was waiting on several tables, speaking for myself, we never wanted for anything. Drinks were promptly filled and food came out hot. Can't ask for more than that. I am also that guy that will go to the bar and get my own beer if someone is busy. Overall rating worth giving this place a try... read more

Really good. I am on a road trip and so this was a place that was different that we thought we would try. The bourbon burger was soooooo good. juicy, flavorful and the sauce had a really good taste. Loved all the onions. They had a huge beer selection. I got iced tea since I was the DD. We shared the Pub Grub fries. Oh yes that was delcious too! Whatever cheese and beer combo they used for the cheese sauce was so good. The green onions just gave it the right taste. Yes if we are ever in town again, we would go here. Love this place! Started coming here with my mom for our weekly errand/grocery outings awhile back. We've always had pleasant servers, great food and the beer selections are awesome. Had lunch with my daughter today. I had the beer battered chicken sandwich and she had the bacon mac n cheese burger. As an appetizer, we got the cheese curds. As always, the food was great. My only complaint is the cheese curds. At $8, the serving was quite paltry. We'll definitely return, but we'll opt for another appetizer or basket of fries to split. read more

I only have good things to say about this place. I have been a few times and enjoyed each visit because of the great selection of beer and the upbeat atmosphere. It's a fabulous place to watch a sports event, especially UK Wildcats! If you like craft beer and a good selection from local breweries this is the place to be. They have a large selection of burger as well. I had the black bean burger and enjoyed it. It's mostly bar food and but pretty good if you're in the mood for burgers and apps. 1 hour 13 mins for our order. Watched two other orders at the bar come out in less than 10 mins. The order was also incorrect and cold

Have been to Mr. Brews several times and love the service, burgers and beer selection. BTW, the Ragin Cajun is the best burger in town. Went for lunch for the first today to get the lunch special. It's the All-American Burger, Fries/Chips, and a soft drink for $7.99. It also says for $9.99 you can get a beer. My wife ordered the $7.99 option and I chose the $9.99 option, however I was told fries don't come with that, only the burger and a beer. Went back and looked at the menu and the burger is $6.79 and the beer was $3.00, which is $0.20 cheaper than the special?? I think the intent is include fries/chips. Not sure if it's a training issue or the verbiage on the lunch special but needs to be clarified. read more

Mr Brews has done a great job keeping their prices reasonable despite covid, and double digit inflation. Its a shame it never fully returned to its ore-covid glory. The days of a packed restaurant for trivia is gone. In fact many times trivia gets canceled for lack of participation. This isn't the establishments fault, its just a sign of the times of how devastating those lockdowns were. Overall, still a great selection of beer and food choices. Came here for the Lemons Mill tap takeover. The beers were delicious and they had 3 on tap. Overall they have a great tap list with 60 beers and a lot of Kentucky breweries. They have a food menu but pretty much burgers, although burger can be swapped out for turkey, chicken or black bean. I've been here several times and almost always get the Peanut Butter burger.
