If your serious about bikes this is your place. There bikes all seem to be higher end of the scale. It's set up to be a hang out, Has a good sized bar with with at least 5-6 good draft beers & several can styles. You can watch a game and have a beer while getting bike fixed or just hanging out. None of the other bike stores have a reason to just drop in. The sky is the limit to what they could do @ this store & go serious enthusiast.

The folks at Bicycle Face are awesome. Good selection of bikes and gear, and most of all, great service. Awesome spot to hang out for a bit too since they have coffee and beer at the bar inside the shop!

Enjoyed the beer too much to get a picture! Great tap selection!

Sweet spot! I'm a newbie, and they were extremely helpful in getting me started with the right gear considering what I already had.

I've had their jammie sammie, waffles, numerous smoothies, and all sorts of coffee drinks (they can add CBD oil upon request!). Their food is consistently delicious and their staff (on both the cafe and bike sides) are super friendly. A while back, I ordered a Bern helmet with MIPS that was later discovered to be defective and Adam took the time to make it right. He deduced that the particular line of helmet I purchased couldn't be manufactured correctly in the size I ordered, which ended up helping out everyone involved. I admire their enormous Christmas cactus on a regular basis. It's a beaut.

Then it seemed like they left it lying around a while before actually telling me it was ready. Other customers had similar struggles. I tend not to focus that much on service because it varies person to person, but it wasn't ideal. I was happy for the option for a vegan breakfast burrito, which had tofu, avocado, and potatoes, but for the price I wasn't impressed. My potatoes were likewise fine, but I wasn't sold that either was worth the cost or the wait. The chai latte I really came for had a peppery kick and wasn't sweet at all, which may be a good or a bad thing depending on one's perspective. I could imagine them doing better, and particularly I wonder if it's better to eat in person.

This greenway trail seems like what I've been looking for. Lexington is notable for having a…read morerelative lack of urban sprawl, with zoning laws ensuring that much of the city is surrounded by rolling hills covered with farms. The outskirts of the city are very pretty to drive through, but you can't really do much as the farms are privately owned and there isn't much in the way of parks or trails. Enter this paved pathway, which runs from the city proper out to the horse center. It seems geared towards bikers, which I am not, but there was certainly space for pedestrians and I saw a few others. I visited a section that ran by some university-owned test farms, and got a treat with nice views, ample songbirds, and peace and quiet. I did get mobbed by some sort of fly as it got dark; though it did not seem to be of any biting or stinging variety you definitely want to consider repellent, along with something for pollen allergies and some sunscreen. The entire length of the trail is farther than I could walk on one night, but I suspect it will be well worth exploring, as this is exactly the sort of thing Lexington needs.
