I brought my out of the box newly (mostly) assembled Huffy bike to them to repair the back tire…read morebecause when we pumped it up to the recommended PSI in the assembly manual it burst. It had never been ridden because the tire popped before we completed the assembly. They took the bike and claimed to have repaired the inner tube for $10 and assembled/reassembled the bike for another $100!!?? After taxes I owed a total of $116.80. I brought it home 3 days later and my son started to ride the bike and 15 minutes into the ride the back tire burst again. I called the shop and they said they would have to charge me (again) for any additional repairs needing to be made. They said it could be a number of things and I asked how that would be possible if they had checked it as thoroughly as they claimed to the first time. I'm out $116 plus whatever the cost of any additional repair fees they want to charge me. They did not offer a refund or a guarantee of their work. I am extremely disappointed and my son is very sad that he still can't ride the gift of the first adult bike that his grandparents got him.

A while back, I ordered a Bern helmet with MIPS that was later discovered to be defective and Adam took the time to make it right. He deduced that the particular line of helmet I purchased couldn't be manufactured correctly in the size I ordered, which ended up helping out everyone involved. Our recent move back to the Lexington area after three years in New Mexico left my mountain bike…read morewith about 8 of 24 gears actually working after sitting in a warehouse in Houston, TX, along with the rest of our belongings, for over a month. I called Scheller's, explained my issue, and was advised that my problem could likely be solved with a tune-up that would cost about $40. That appealed to me, so I dropped by with the bike a couple of days later. I was very impressed with the neatness and layout of the business as I first rolled my bike through the front door. Directed to the repair shop by a very pleasant associate (I didn't get her name), I met bike technician, Chris. As I told him my problem, he was already at work, expertly adding lubricant to the bike and explaining about how its sitting in the heat for weeks had dried everything out. He had my Fuji ready to go in less than ten minutes - and didn't charge me a cent - which was such a kind and much appreciated gesture. I had been so totally stressed out from the awful experience we'd just had with the moving company and the horrid condition of a good deal of our belongings once they had been delivered, so Chris added some brightness to what had been a bit of a gloomy homecoming. One thing for sure: Scheller's will definitely be the go-to place for my biking needs from here on.

I have up to 1 year to press charges. I have not heard from anyone at your store; and according to what your store told police there are no cameras in the store to have made this determination. This is very disappointing and concerning. You stated you don't condone any of this behavior but yet you never even reached out to me or my son to apologize or make things right. The police do not make the determination on filing charges, I DO. Your response is unprofessional, unapologetic, shameful and just terrible. Side note; we are setting at the children's hospital currently because my son doesn't have function of his legs, again. A grown man physically moving a visibly disabled child is never "not aggressive."
