When I took him my suit that had been butchered by another "tailor", he immediately identified what had been done, and was able to save it (if not more than that). Hired KC to alter my wedding dress and I ended up not being able to wear it and having to buy a new dress one day before my wedding. KC is disorganized, loses track of how many items he takes and rude. Going as far as saying "people typically tip me for my work" He admitted later he only worked 1-2 days on this dress which is not much considering what it was. It was also suppose to be done September 21st but it was not. He told me come back October 8th. I did and it still needed work he told me come back October 13th. Two days before the wedding. Some highlights, was told to use body tape to fix gaping in dress by KC. Was told he wished he never took my dress as he could've made more money doing other things. I'm not the only person to have issues I even included a screenshot of another review where the person had similar issues. However, KC claims to have 5 star ratings. read more

KC is one of the best, most professional as well as friendly people I've ever met. My dry cleaners is right next door to him so I send my customers needing alterations done in a rush over to him and out of the 5-10 people I sent not a single person had anything negative to say about him and in fact they all thanked me for telling them about him lol.. so I decided to try him out for myself. I ha r now taken almost all of my shirts for either little tweaks or complete resizing and most of my pants to be made slim fit and now they all look and fit fabulously!!! I would recommend KC Tailoring for any quick work you need done! I was in a pinch before a wedding and he got my hemming done in a timely manor! Great quality too! The only issue was that Mr. KC seemed a bit disorganized and flustered when I came to pick up my pants. I was worried that he lost my pants but he did find them. KC Tailoring is a solid option for tailoring services depending on what it is you want. First, the good: KC is a friendly and genuinely nice man. He's also very skilled at what he does - the suit jacket I had altered fits very well and there are no uncomfortable or noticeable stitch marks on the fabric. Also, he's comfortable working around your schedule and can complete projects quickly if need be. Second, the okay: KC's prices were slightly out of range for me, a college student - if I paid for all the alterations he wanted to make to my jacket, it would've run me around $100. Still, the work is undeniably quality. Third, the not so good: KC's office is cluttered, which doesn't bother me if you can keep orders straight. However, when I returned for pickup, my suit hadn't been altered yet due to some sort of mix-up. I then waited 40 minutes for the work to be done as I was leaving town the next day. He apologized and jumped right on the work, but it was an inconvenience. All in all, KC presents a solid option that I might consider using again. read more

He took a tragically ill-fitting coat to perfectly tailored in about 24 hours and it made all the difference in the world! Pros: seem to do good work, staff is friendly/welcoming Cons: seem more expensive than other tailors in the area, office is very small, they seem a little disorganized (they never notified me that my clothes were finished, I had to call them, and when I called them it took them several minutes to find my item and check if it was done, even though I read them the ticket number). FYI - if you tell them "no rush on this, if you can get it done by the end of the month that's great" they will until the very last day of the month to START working on your stuff (I blame myself for this, I should have asked for the soonest date they could get it done) Ultimately, they do fine enough work, but other places in the city are much faster and less expensive for comparable work. If I had something complicated I needed done, I'd go to them, but if I just needed pants hemmed or sleeves shortened, I'd go somewhere else. read more

I came into K C's and it was my first time ever visiting a tailor. I needed suit pants tapered by the following week. However, while I was there I realized I'd need them by the following day. K C assured me that he would be able to taper them THE DAY I BROUGHT THEM IN (amazing) and he did. Easily one of the best surprises / experiences I've had involving clothing. He also took my measurements for the taper within 30~ seconds. Super kind guy, super good at what he does, super reasonable prices. I'm glad he's the first tailor I've ever had. Arrived in town for our wedding on Thursday and needed a jacket altered for rehearsal on Friday, I thought this would be impossible. We went to K C and he had no trouble at all he took my measurements and told me to come back in the morning. It is a shame they are so disorganized here - their work seems to be really good. I took a pair of slacks in to have them altered. I knew as I was waiting that this was not going to go well - two people came in to pick up their items and both people were told that their clothes weren't ready. But I turned over my slacks and was told that it would take two weeks (way too long, but whatever). A little over two weeks later I went back and the guy had no idea where my slacks were. I asked if he had some sort of tracking system for the items people leave and he said no. There were literally just piles of clothes everywhere. We both looked and eventually found them. Sure enough, nothing had been done to them. But he offered to take them in while I waited and they were ready 30 minutes later. I tried them on and they were perfect. I am too nervous to ever take anything back there - I am afraid that I will never see the item again! And what a pain that they never complete a job in time. It's too bad, since their work is actually really good. read more

KC seems nice enough but I should've followed the advice of a previous reviewer. Very friendly but super disorganized. My boyfriend brought in his suit for a friend's wedding and I brought a bridesmaid dress. The suit was needed in 5 days and a rush was paid on it. KC told us to call him the day before so he could make sure the work was done. We did and the next day when I went to pick it up, he had done the wrong suit. I have to give him some credit though since he ended up hand-delivering it to our house that night. A few weeks later I called to see if my dress was ready. KC couldn't find it but told me not to worry and to come by to get it the next day. After what had happened with my boyfriend's suit, I wasn't about to let it slide. I showed up that night and located the dress (where it had been all along) and waited about 45 minutes until it was finished. Needless to say, we won't be going back after our experience. read more

I gave KC my Marine Corps dress blue coat to sew on new rank patches. After two days, when I went to pick up my coat, he told me "oh sorry, I forgot about it. Do you need it soon?" I let him know it was for a wedding that was (now) in two days. He said he would do the job right away and I could pick it up in the morning. The next morning I found my coat still not finished, and when he said it was the rank patches were crooked and not to the specs I gave him - and the edges were destroyed. WORST. read more

I went to KC to get three suits tailored. I was impressed when I walked in of all the pictures of local celebrities (Coach Cal, Mitch Barnhart, etc) and other happy customers which set a great first impression. I put on my first suit that I had for about three years. As soon as I put it on he said "This suit isn't worth tailoring." I really appreciated his opinion when he could have charged me to do. The next two he agreed it made sense to tailor. KC also gave me a great recommendation for SuitSupply to buy high quality men's suits. I know own three of their suits and I'm very happy. So, in summary the beginning experience 5 STARs! Two weeks later I came back to pick up my suits. One was done and fit very well. The second one his people didn't tailor well and they forgot to add a button and resew the inside of a pant leg and so I had to leave that suit with him. 3 Stars for a half done job and he is such a nice guy. One week later I came back for my suit. He went in the back and searched for several minutes and couldn't find it. I had to go in the back and help him. The pants button and interior hem still was not done. He apologized and said he would personally deliver it to me on Saturday at my house. I was out of town and he delivered the suit to my wife. When I got home he had delivered the wrong suit! It wasn't mine. 1 Star for no organization and someone else was probably upset because they didn't have their suit. I called him and asked for my money back for this suit which he agreed to. He said he would come on Saturday to my house again and deliver the correct suit. Saturday came and went with no phone call. I called him on Sunday and "stuff came up" and he couldn't make it out and so he would come by on Sunday which he did. He gave me cash, sincerely apologized and gave me my suit. Guess what, THE BUTTON WAS STILL MISSING! 1 STAR for a job not done. In summary, KC has been doing this for a long time and has quite a following he is nice, will give you his honest opinion which is good. However, the guy has no organizational system for keeping track of his customers and because he has so many customers people like my fall through the cracks. My advice would be if you go to KC (I'm not going back as I don't have time to deal with delays) call before you pick up to make sure it is done and confirm what you are doing. read more

KC deserves 6 stars!! My friends wedding was on Saturday at 5:30pm and I drove from Atlanta Friday night before. My girlfriend bought a dress for the wedding which didn't arrive until the Day before the wedding! Well long story short, the dress ended up being a little to tight for her. She was so sad because she loved the dress and really wanted to wear it to the wedding. We really didn't have much Time to go find a new dress. We found KC tailoring and have him a call as soon as he opened on Saturday morning. We explained our situation to him and he told us to come on in and he would see what he could do. I had a great experience. I brought in a J. Crew tweed blazer, Hugo Boss window pane and a RL seersucker. All were tailored and look a thousand times better than they had already looked. He was nice when I dropped off my dress. I read all reviews before I come to KC's. I said I need this in two weeks and he asked me to pick it up after two weeks. I called at noon and asked whether it can be ready by 5pm. He said 6pm first but then said 5pm is ok. I stopped by at 5:10, he was still working on my dress and asked me to wait for 10 minutes. But I waited for half an hour and my later plan was late. I was unhappy but he said "You need to be better attitude. You should sit there, be quiet and wait!" But I didn't say any bad words. We agreed to change the collar from round to V shape, but he didn't do that and said he didn't remember it. I said "You didn't do what you promised and didn't get your work done on time." He yelled at me "if a tailor said he could get it done in one day, he can never do it! I'm not your husband not your boyfriend!" And even didn't let me say anything. He said he didn't know my dress will take 3 hours to finish which he used to think one and half hour is enough. But I gave him two weeks. I cannot complain and my plan was disturbed and I have to re-schedule for another day. No apology for his late at all. My advice: if you care about your time and your experience, find another tailor. read more
