It took several weeks just to hem a pair of slacks and shorten coat sleeves 1/4 inch. When I got the suit back for a wedding I was attending, the suit was all wrinkled. It had never been worn & still had the tags on it. Almost $80 for something you'd think would take 10 minutes and then I had to rush to a dry cleaners to have it pressed in time for the wedding! Nice enough people but poor service and result so won't be returning. read more

I brought in a dress to have the straps shortened. It took about a week and a half. The gentleman working was professional and nice. My mother has been coming here since the 90s so naturally I started coming here as well. The attention to detail is amazing! I've had 5 formal gowns altered here and I've never been disappointed. I brought in a dress with a rather complicated skirt. There were multiple layers that required different kinds of stitching. Harry informed me that he had never seen anything like it and that it would take a few fittings. I really appreciated his honesty and the effort he was willing to put into it. It was perfect by the time he was finished with it. I have also procrastinated in bringing some pieces in causing a little time crunch, but Harry has always gladly accepted it never failing to do a great job. If I could leave zero I would! My daughter drove 45 minutes to meet with this gentleman about her wedding dress. After putting on her dress he told her that it was made for someone with a different body type and didn't look right! She changed quickly and went out to her car in tears!!! Learn some manners! I needed to have a couple pairs of pants hemmed and found Hems And Such via local Google search. I called prior to bringing my pants by and found them to be nice and affordable so I thought I would give them a try. When I arrived I found the place to quaint and busy. I had to wait just a little bit but was greeted with a smile and was handled promptly after the previous customer. After trying on the pants they were pinned and marked and ready to be hemmed. Within a few days my pants were ready and again I was greeted with a smile and prompt service. I tried the pants on and they were exactly what I asked, I was very pleased. I had also just purchased two pairs of jeans that were a bit too long for me, so I took them along. Harry greeted me with a smile and promptly took the necessary measurements. I needed the jacket by a deadline, and Harry worked diligently to accommodate my request. When I returned to the shop to pick up my items, they were all hemmed perfectly, and the jacket was pressed. I bought a suit and the slacks were too long and the sleeves were too long. On Monday morning I asked if it was anyway possible as I had a plane to catch on Thursday morning if I could possibly have the alterations by close of business on Wednesday.
