Concord cleaners $9 back in 5 days look brand new. I learned my lesson with Hart's and I advise ppl to steer clear of them. I dropped off a pair of black jeans and clearly specified--three times--that I wanted an original hem (keeping the manufacturer's original hem intact, just shortened). I repeated it because communication was a bit challenging due to the language barrier, but he repeated "original hem" back to me, so I felt confident he understood. Two weeks later, I picked up the jeans and was disappointed to see a standard rolled/folded hem instead--no original hem at all. When I pointed this out, he showed me another pair of (blue) jeans he'd done with an original hem and explained he didn't do it on mine because they were black, had no distressing, and in his view "didn't need" it. Regardless of his reasoning, I paid for and explicitly requested an original hem multiple times--he simply didn't deliver. Whether it was a misunderstanding, disregard for the request, or unwillingness to do the work, the result is the same: my instructions were ignored. If you value attention to detail and want exactly what you ask for (especially on something specific like preserving the original hem), I'd recommend going elsewhere. Disappointing experience for a simple alteration.

Now my second visit went quite differently. I dropped off a top to be Hemmed. Same thing should be ready in a week- cost $12. So when I arrived and they told me 14$. I asked why it was more than $12 and got a very vague answer of well it took longer.... but no complete reasoning. The two young ladies kept talking to someone in the back who should have come and spoken to me about the issue but didn't. (yes I get it $2 not that big of a deal to some people but it is to me.) but I thought it was weird I had $12 written on my ticket and they added notes to their copy making it $14. Don't quote a price if you're not going to honor it- then over charge when the customer arrives to pick up. If you have issues with something or a price changes - call the customer before hand to make sure it's ok. I am giving a 2-star bc the quality of work is good as far as I can tell. But the shady business practices with over charging and lack of customer service have definitely deterred me from coming back. All I can say is check your receipts!!!!! I only wish she hadn't kept the receipts so I could post the photos.

We were taken cared of by Kaela and she did an excellent job measuring my husband for his suit. 4/30/24 Unfortunately when we picked up the suit it was not at all fitted correctly. His suit was too short in the arms and didn't fit right all around. We were told alterations were available at the Hamburg location so we went there only to be told the person working that, was out for the day. We had to leave to ohio immediately after to make it to this wedding. Thankfully, found a location in dayton to do the alterations. But this run around, disorganized and bad communicative business is terrible! Please fix your staff so you communicate amongst other stores before sending your customers across town for no reason. 1 star just for Kaela because she had great customer service skills, but it would be no stars for the lack of communication skills between stores to customers.
