Terrible service and does not tell you her "hourly" fees before hand. Make sure you know that if you go for a consultation she charges $75 an hour for the time she spends on you. But doesn't make this known until after tell her no to a $1100 alteration that anywhere else would be about $650-700. I told her I understand this is a buisness but you should know that you take the risk of consulting people knowing they may not use you. But that's curtesy and that's how you get more clients. read more

Under new (to me) management, cannot recommend. Had a great experience here in the past getting my designer clothes altered and repaired. This time was a bit different. TLDR: Took designer items to be repaired. Both the experience and work was rushed. Resulting work incurred additional damages. I recently had an appointment for repairs on a pair of $1300 Rick Owens trousers and a $600 Rick Owens cardigan. After two weeks, I came to pick them up. I paid and was rushed out the door before inspection. A few days later I pulled them out for a formal event, and not only was the hole on my pants not fixed, but the silk lining had been torn to shreds. It looks like the underfoot got stuck on the lining material. What could have been a hand stich patch job was done quickly by machine and without much care. Additionally, the cardigan had sleeve cutouts to allow for wear as a cape. I asked for a 1" hole in the back to be mended, and what resulted was the mended hole and both of the (obviously intentional) cape holes being sewn shut completely. This renders half of the intended use of the garment useless. When confronted, the owner was not apologetic or remorseful in any way, and instead insisted on "repairing" them immediately. She explained that I "did not know anything about sewing" which has some merit. However, I've been collecting and taking clothes for alterations and repairs for years, and it's not difficult to tell that this was sloppily completed. Furthermore, she tried to explain that the ripped lining was caused by me before arrival to her. There are multiple obvious, straight vertical tears in the fabric. I'm not sure how in any rational world that damages such as these could be caused by wear and tear. The pants had only been worn a handful of times for formal events. After a few minutes of back and forth, I explained that I was disappointed in the work done and wanted a refund. Providing 2 stars as she did promptly provide the refund as asked. I was worried about what might become of my clothes if I let her continue to work on them, so I have taken them to another tailor who is currently undoing the exterior work and fixing the internal patch. I still wanted to love this place, but this experience fell very short of my expectations. read more

My wedding dress fit like it was made for me after I picked it up from Belinda :) She managed to tackle hemming 8 layers of my dress, adding a bustle, other customizations, and even un-doing a 'take-in' she had already finished when I wanted it looser (my bad!). what honest establishment ONLY takes cash? this one right here! if I could leave 0 stars I would. My little sister needed a skirt hemmed for an interview. Just a simple hem Given 3 weeks in advance. My sister is young and naive not thinking to ask about pricing. I understand pricing for alterations is not always cut and dry and that the seamstress should be paid for her time and talent. With that being said, my sister was charged $65 for a SIMPLE hem. highway robbery. Some transparency in pricing for casual alterations would have been appreciated. I find it amusing that the Needle's EYE blog was deleted and customers can't leave reviews on the Facebook page... probably for complaints such as this. read more

I sew, but I didn't have the skills to alter my daughter's prom dress. The owner is very nice and does excellent work. The dress was a perfect fit. Her prices are more than reasonable if you know anything about sewing. Bridal dresses and formals are made of materials which are difficult to work with. Her work is perfect! It's also difficult to alter an off the rack dress. My daughter's dress wound up fitting as if it were custom made. I'll definitely come back! read more

The worst customer service I have EVER dealt with. If I could leave zero stars I would. Not to mention their prices are absolutely ridiculous. I was charged $181 to make straps shorter and hem 1/4 inch off a dress. That's complete asinine. I dealt with two different ladies, each of which were extremely rude to me. I have no idea what their names are, because I guess they just don't have time to introduce themselves. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

The best place in Lexington to get alterations done. They did a suit for me in just a couple of days. It fit perfectly. It is a little pricey, but the work was worth it. Make such to bring extra cash though. read more
