DO NOT USE. I had decent experiences here prior so took a few suit jackets and pants to be altered and was extremely disappointed. The jacket sleeves were just tacked under and look awful. Well I brought my 100$ laptop backpack here to get it repaired because my strap broke. When I explained to them it looked like crap and worst than it was broke they refused to agree like they were right. The repair looks like I did it. They did a great job on what I originally thought was an unflattering dress but their alterations helped a great deal. The owners are very friendly and reasonably priced. Terrible. My fiancé got his pants tapered here and when we went to pick them up, he tried them on. They were clearly uneven. I showed both the female and male working there. I even had my fiancé take the pants off so I could measure them to see if they were uneven and they were. Then I took them to the counter to show the man and he basically moved the pants around to "make them even" and said that it was because of the pant style. THEY WERE REGULAR SLACKS. No fancy style or anything. Then he goes "they aren't uneven by much". They never once offered to correct their mistake. Would not recommend this place and would not go back!! read more

Least professional alterations I've ever had. Took a jacket that needed arms shortened and just tucked them under and tacked them. Literally something I could do at home. Still cannot believe that a professional alterations place could try to pass this off. Came back today and they had fixed the jacket and properly done the lining (so they do know how at least). However the buttons are not aligned and looks like a sewing project. Again use these guys at your own peril. read more

It is the WORST repairs I've seen in my entire life and to top it off the people got an attitude and couldn't even admit they screwed up bad. I dropped off pants to be patched. They said they could easily do this and showed me an example and we agreed. When I picked up my pants they were ruined. They sewed the existing fabric to itself making them unwearable. Patches were poorly sewn on, threads hanging and all patches and pulled off without any trouble. I've brought a few items here over the past several years, and I've had mixed results. The first time I went here was a few years ago. I had a zipper replaced in a dress, and I was SO happy with their work and the price. My husband has had pants lengthened - some good, some not so good. Recently I took in another dress with a broken zipper (I have a thing for clothes on sale that need repair!). The price seemed really high, and it was going to take a month because they were busy - wow! It was a very long zipper, so I'll give them the price increase. But I really needed the dress soon, so they agreed to do it in a week. I picked up the dress a week later and when I tried it on at home the zipper would not zip back up - it was sewn in too tightly. It didn't seem like a mistake that someone with a lot of experience would make.. I was not happy to have to return it for them to fix it. Also, the dress is white and they left dirty finger prints all over the back around the zipper. At the same time I brought in a men's dress shirt with a tear on the front. It is hard to explain how they fixed it, but it made the shirt tighter on my husband's chest. Basically it doesn't fit now. I don't know how to sew, but they way this was "fixed" just doesn't look right at all. They owners are very nice and friendly, but I don't think I'll be going back. The Button Hole did a great job of repairing my jacket after it was brutalized by a person calling himself The Sewing Dude. The Dude forgot to reattach buttons and returned the jacket to me with a split seam. The Dude demanded full payment for this "work." There is more to this story, but I'll leave it alone. This is about the Button Hole, where professional alterations tailors deliver professional results. The jacket looks good as new (as much as a vintage piece from the 60's can look new) and was ready at the time we agreed upon. They even removed much of the smoke odor SD left as his calling card, saving me a trip to the dry cleaner. Of course I left more work with them and will again. Highly recommended! read more

Love this place! I took in 2 pairs of jeans to have darts put in the back and a dress to have taken in. The jeans I really didn't think were going to fit just holding them up to me (no way I was going to fit in those itty bitty jeans!), but they fit like a glove! I couldn't be more pleased with them. The dress I bought way too big for me because I had lost a lot of weight and was use to hiding my bumps and bulges with oversized clothes! Unfortunately I couldn't exchange this dress and couldn't wear it at this size, so I brought it here and prayed they could make it so I could wear it and make it so it looked ok on me. Pretty much they had to completely redo the entire side seems. IT LOOKS AMAZING on me! The side seems, the arm holes, the hem, it's amazing and I can wear this favorite for a long long time! On top of it all, after overpaying for so many years to have dresses altered for my daughters for prom dresses ($60.00 to have 2 teeny straps shortened???) The Button Hole was refreshingly reasonably priced and had my garments ready when we agreed! 100% I will be back!! Thank you!! read more

Worst experience ever. I would give them a zero if i could. Worst customer service i have ever seen and i went in to get 3 patches sewn onto my Army uniform Top. I dropped them off and they charged me $40 to sew on 3 patches. okay.... i went back to pick them up and it looked like a 4 year old had sewn them. i told them probably 5 times that the sewing needs to be exactly how i asked them and VERY neat because it has to be in Army regulations. they said they do army uniforms all the time. bull. well they said screw that and botched the whole thing. the lines were a disaster and the thread color was not even close. i told them it was unacceptable and to redo it. well they redid it and screwed it up again. they basically just took some scissors and cut off the extra thread so half the patches were not even connected to the top anymore. will not ever go back here and please do not give them your money like i did. read more

I'm beyond picky about fitting. After trying many tailors throughout town, only The Button Hole got it right. They've done everything from hemming and tailoring pants and shorts, to tailoring my dress shirts and sport coats/suits. Prices are great and no one in town can cut open a shirt, tailor it, and seam it back together better than the original shirt maker did. Top notch quality here. And if your in a jam you can pay a little extra for speedier service (only needed the week before derby since they get flooded with suits and dresses around that time). read more

I went here to get a bridesmaids dress altered. I needed it hemmed, the straps shortened, and the chest taken in. I procrastinated, and therefore, only had 2 weeks to get it done. I picked it up yesterday and it fit perfectly! I could not be happier. The price was very reasonable, especially considered that they pressed it, which would have been an additional $10.
