My wife and I had been here before last time we visited Lexington. This time we wanted to treat our local friends to a nice dinner, and we had a fantastic dining experience! The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy yet elegant, making it a great spot for a casual outing or a special occasion. Honeywood's food and drink menu is diverse, the service is always good and the vibe is great. We tried many dishes, including the following: Sweet potato beignets. Shrimp & grits. Crab rice. Huntsman cassoulet. Salmon. Mac & cheese and fries. Beetloaf. Cocktails. Everything was delicious and good. The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was on point. Our server was good but seemed a bit rushed. The restaurant is located in a great shopping plaza with plenty to do within walking distance. There is plenty of free parking around.  We were happy, satisfied, and eager to return! Overall, 100% recommended.

We had our company Christmas party dinner here last night. We had a party of 9 and Leah was our server. She was fantastic. We started with the Deviled Eggs and Sweet Potato Beignets as our appetizers. I had the Shrimp & Grits. Others tried the Pork Tomahawk , Bourbon Barrel Filet, Crab Rice, Steak Frites and the Honeywood Smashburger. For desserts we had the Bread Pudding, Tiramisu, and Peanut Butter Pie. I had an Old Fashioned and it was very good. Everything was excellent.

Honeywood was fantastic. My wife and I were so glad we found this gem tucked away in The Summit. We started with the Sweet Potato Beignets and they delivered big time. The ricotta and pepper jelly combo is something special. We also tried the Whitesburg Soup Beans and those were just as impressive. My wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich and the portion was very generous. She said it ranks among her all time favorites. I went for the Smashburger with Bacon Jam and the first bite stopped me in my tracks. Easily one of the best burgers I have ever had. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a warm and cozy vibe that makes you want to stay a while. We are already looking forward to coming back.

Mom's spring break, so we traveled down. I had a wife-mom lunch date on the agenda. There are quite a few places in the summit in Lexington to eat. Most of them are about what you'd expect looking in from the outside, but 9 out of every 10 times, I pick Shake Shake. This time, I decided to make a list and point to something. Honeywood was the winner. Food: App - Korean Wings. They were good, but they tasted like regular wings to me. They're listed as having gochujang, sesame seeds, and green onions. They didn't taste very gochujang to me, but they were still delicious. My mom even liked them, and she usually doesn't like any kind of spice, whether light or heavy. Prime Rib Sandwich - Another delicious entree. It came with fries and was the perfect lunch. The only change I'd make is the horseradish sauce on it. It was still good, but the sandwich doesn't need that much horseradish sauce. It overpowered everything else. Lamb Kofta Burger - My wife ordered the lamb burger. She said it was good, but like most things in America - "It's just a lottttttt" Salmon Salad - Mom went with this salad. The salmon looked good. She ordered the salmon well done, but I think it still came out medium. Not a complaint from me because everyone should eat their salmon medium. She finished it, so if it was indeed medium, she loved it. If you're picking random spots to eat, there are worse places you could go. I like Honeywood and I'd easily go back. And The Summit is so walkable that you can easily walk over to Shake Shack(as I did) afterwards to order a shake. :-)

Service was attentive and friendly! Matthew made sure our waters were refilled and brought us out a little plate of lemons for our waters The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The food was incredible! Great place for lunch

I've brought friends, coworkers, and family here many times and the food is always extremely good. The restaurant group that runs this is one of the better ones in Lexington. Local cuisine, fancy, and farm to table. Their menus change seasonally but it's always a good place for a fancy dinner and a beer.

I was browsing the Summit looking for a brunch spot that I haven't tried yet. I found this lovely place and based on the design, I assumed it was worth the time! Beautiful interior and kind people. My biggest issue was my wait time. I'm not sure why but I spent over 50 minutes waiting on my meal while being 1 of 4 tables being served. I was only dining with 1 other person who chose the salad. My server was kind but she was not very attentive. So much so that I had to ask for my check from the waitress at the bar after staring at my empty plate for at least 10 minutes. The last thing I ask is that if you choose to do homework or something on a personal computer, don't do it where the tables you are serving can see you! I can understand studies are important but you are working on the clock.. The food was good, my steak was cooked medium which was recommended by the chef and requested by me. It was a decent steak. Well fried on the outside, however I felt that the inside was too rare but I still enjoyed the meal. The parmesan fries were good but nothing special, almost too greasy. I wouldn't mind giving this place another visit but I will stick to the more popular brunch options (hamburger) next time.

I haven't reviewed this place in over seven years. If they are still busy on a Wednesday for lunch, you know that they must do some things right! I really enjoyed it and the menu has changed some, but not too much. I was disappointed that they don't still have the Shady Lane Salad.

Shrimp and grits

Amazing interior! The food was the point in going there though. We went there for lunch and I had the shrimp and grits. Needed a bit of salt. My husband tried the short rib sandwich. The meat was clearly leftover from the day before.

First time here, and it won't be the last. For a starter, we got the deviled eggs with crab. I wish I had gotten a picture. These were absolutely wonderful. For the cassoulet, the rabbit was dry, but the rest of the dish was very good. My wife's pork chop was cooked beautifully and the greens were delicious. The menu here is a bit limited, especially for picky eaters, but we found items that we will be going back for.

Z.T. FRITZ'S

I had lunch here today; staff were friendly and attentive, salad was out quickly and was tasty! Settled on the Z.T. Fritz's sandwich! Normally I am not a chicken sandwich fan, however, this one really stood out to me. It was indeed full of flavor and I have 0 complaints! The atmosphere was nice as well and was very close to where I was doing business. Would recommend! The manager was also very friendly and took great care of me!

Beer List is stellar (someone is thoughtful). Nice tap system. 30+ beers…read more There's a problem with customer service, particularly with a behind the bar worker, Nick. I mentioned the Westmalle Dubbel didn't taste like itself-- normally there's plenty detectable sweetness, caramel, toffee notes but that it tasted bitter and with lots of cinnamon. He said that was the way it was supposed to be to his co-worker that brought this to his attention. His co-worker tags off the shift so I mention it again to him. He said it was hooked to the correct keg, so perhaps the keg was "bad, and Beer is Beer." Well thanks, Nick, for the enlightenment: Beer is beer. They're all the same. Wine is wine, too, I suppose. Nick didn't offer to exchange my 4-oz pour or make any adjustment. I received his message loud and clear: "The beer is bad and/or all the same so shut up and live with it." No other communication was made. What else was there to say? I got it. He didn't care. The tip line on the charge ticket struck me as ironic. I wanted to send the a ticket back across the bar with a charge for suffering him. Can I suggest that Nick be moved to the night shift, canned good section where generalizations he relies on hold true? Beanie weenies may be beanie weenies. More importantly, can he be sent to a place where he isn't customer-facing and does more damage to Whole Foods company? The last thing I wanted was to drink beer from a bad keg (I mean, if you know it's bad, replace it and send back to distributor?!) and to be faced with a pompous personality that doesn't take any interest in the experience of the guests. Does a company like Whole Foods do any training in customer service? I suspect they do but Nick needs a repeat. Yes, I'm in the spirit-hospitality industry. I've sold Westmalle Trappist beer in all its forms. I know what it should taste like. Something wasn't right with the keg of beer but worse is that this person didn't care. So tired of males that lord their ignorance and laziness over their domains at the expense of others and defame the whole ethos of hospitality. Other than Nick, and the awry Westmalle, the other beers were fresh and delicious. Atmosphere --beyond the attitude-- was good.

Yay for your beer selection! (Boo that you don't offer wine…read moreoptions like other WFs locations.) I really love the way I can try so many beers in a range of sizes. I'm not always up for 12 oz beer, so a quick 4 or 8 oz option is right up my alley. There are over 20 taps, too, and the bartenders have always been great about recommending a current selection based on my preferences.

But the food was so good! I had been there once before, shortly after opening, and thought it was so-so. But the 2nd visit was a much better experience. Since we had a large group, we sampled each other's dishes and everything was delicious. The burrata appetizer was really good. I had the "make me something sweet" mocktail and it was pretty and tasted refreshing. Our server was top notch and explained every dish on the menu, and gave us recommendations. He really took his time with us, and you could tell he was a pro. More excited to return after this second visit than after the first! 11/26

First off, wait staff was very nice. Drinks from the bar were okay, definitely not the worst…read morechocolate martini I've ever had but definitely not the best. For our appetizer, we had the beef tartare, it was also just okay. We didn't even finish half of it. The star of the dish was the rye crisp, unfortunately. For our entree we had the baked rigatoni and the pork tenderloin. The pork tenderloin dish was delicious and so was the rigatoni. That was a plus. It was extremely loud in the restaurant. Be prepared to yell at your table partner. Between the amount of people talking loudly (I assume to attempt to talk over the loud music) and the music, and being seated really near other people, having a conversation was difficult. So don't go with anyone who is hard of hearing with background noise (my husband lol). Food took a little longer than what I'd prefer to come out. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and decorations were cute.
