Bbq Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and our giant basket of extra fries and chicken wrap in the background
    Blake M.

Was excited to try out this burger n hotdog joint. Has a vibe like a sports bar or bdubs. Kinda loud and tvs all over the place. Does have a neat fire pit dining patio but it was winter so we sat near the bar, the soils are not comfortable and kind of awkward to sit on for a whole dinner especially with no place to put jackets or anything. The staff was nice but seemed overwhelmed. We ordered a bbq burger entree it was made well and tasted great, lots of bacon and sauce on it. The fries were just ok , some were way too hard for some reason. They are the smaller shoe string type and might have been old or overcooked but we got a whole extra order bc my date ordered a wrap and didn't realize it didn't come with fries when asked. Needless to say to say way too many fries that were all wasted due to hard not fresh taste. He enjoyed his chicken wrap though which was quite large. Overall maybe a great spot for a beer n watching a game but not a good date spot as it is very loud and crowded. Main reason for getting at least 3 stars was that the food wasn't bad and it was a social spot still.

The food was unexpectedly delicious. The server greeted us at the table within minutes of our arrival. The restaurant is a fun sports bar with a pass through bar. The service and food is the element that sets this establishment apart. I do recommend this restaurant.

Convenient location, quality food, nice beer selection, and warm and attentive staff. Large TVs abound that showcase sporting events.

Love, love, love this restaurant!! Super casual sports bar type eatery with TV's EVERYWHERE!! Very open space that never felt crowded even though they were quite busy at 2 pm. The food was outstanding. Definitely recommend the onion rings (add salt), the double fried wings were epic as were the hamburgers. The menu is huge including salads, sandwiches, hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. Their shoestring fries are so GOOD!! A full bar is also present. Outdoor patio allows dogs so bring your pups along for the meal. Our waiter, Charles, was the best! Great service without being around too much. Very family friendly spot. Can't wait for the next time! It was nice to find an affordable option in the heart of Hamburg. Especially with this quality of food.

Chili cheese dog and a side of Cole slaw.

Disappointing. If you're a devotee of sports bars, Double Dogs may be just the thing. It boasts 26 television screens plus a wall of TVs at the end of the main room. No matter where you look, there's sports. I went more for the food, which was decent if overpriced. The service also missed the mark. My server came over quickly after I sat down and offered a beverage but when I asked for a small draft, he said, "We only have 22 oz. drafts." I opted for a 12-oz bottle of Bud Light. Though it was not his call or fault, not even having pints of their craft taps available seems like a miss. Looking over the menu, I saw a good selection of dogs, burgers, pizzas and other items, but the chili cheese dog appealed to me the most. My server took quite a while to get back to me but when he did, I ordered: A fat Hebrew National dog topped with chili and cheese (hold the onions) on a nice toasted bun. What could be wrong with that? Not much ... except the price. $11.99 for what was honestly no better than a Coney at a Sonic Drive-In. Bigger and with a kosher dog, but no better. It came with my choice of a side, and I ordered the Cole slaw, which was also disappointing. My server had told me it was made with Thousand Island dressing so no surprise there. What was surprising is that it had none of the vinegary tang I'd been looking forward to. When it came time for the bill, I had my wallet out and was ready to give him my credit card but I got a "drive-by": he set the bill on the table then walked away without a moment's hesitation. It would literally have taken five seconds for me to hand him my credit card. As a result, I put down a $20 bill and left, which meant a smaller tip than the 20% I'd have left, even considering the "meh" service. I go to restaurants -- even a sports bar -- primarily for the food and to be waited on like a welcome guest, so I doubt I'll be back.

It was chilly outside so it was a nice surprise when the young lady asked if we wanted to sit by the fireplace. Yes, please!! It was so comfy and warm right there. Our waitress came right over and was so sweet and attentive. I ordered their morning glory burger with the salsa on the side and a salad, and the hubby ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The wait was short and the food was excellent! They forgot to put the salsa on the side for my burger, but it was very good anyway. I'm really starting to enjoy burgers with eggs on them. The salad was enormous! I thought they made a mistake and brought me a $10.00 salad, but no. It was so huge I couldn't finish it, which was a shame because it was so delicious. My hubby said that his was the best burger he's had in a very long time. We were able to leave quickly after finishing our meal since the waitresses carry portable card readers with them and they check you out right at the table which is so very convenient. When we're back next year for Scarefest we will keep Drake's on our radar!

Do they really need six parking spots in the adjacent lot dedicated to take out? Upon arrival, there was a sign directing us to choose our own seating. There was a decent crowd, but the place was not packed. We sat near the bar. We waited a pretty good amount of time before anyone touched our table. For that reason I deducted one star from the review. The food was very good. The crab Rangoon roll hit the spot. Fried pickles were a very generous portion. Buffalo mini bites with fries were also good. Fantastic ranch. The waiter did spill some ranch on his finger and then proceeded to lick it off. That was a bit strange.

I did ask for a menu, but there appeared to be four or five different menus, which was confusing and not clearly explained at the door. Once our host arrived, we were seated. For anyone wondering about the atmosphere--it's casual and relaxed. Our server, Kelly (if I'm remembering her name correctly), was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. She brought out our Smoked Chestnut Old Fashioned, along with the appetizers: spinach artichoke dip and carpaccio. Everything was delicious, and the cocktail was smooth, aromatic, and nicely balanced with a smoky finish. The bread service was also a nice touch. For my entrée, I ordered the 5 oz steak with crab and elote. The steak itself was cooked perfectly--right on temperature, tender, and flavorful. The elote was served separately in a white bowl, as shown in the photo, and was enjoyable on its own. What I didn't understand was the "crab" component, which turned out to be a deep-fried sushi roll. That pairing alongside a steak felt unexpected, and the overall plate composition and presentation didn't quite come together for me. That said, this may simply be a difference in perspective. I personally place a strong emphasis on plate presentation and cohesion, and Malone's may focus more on comfort and execution than visual refinement. Overall: Excellent service, a great cocktail, and a perfectly cooked steak. While the rest of the plate wasn't what I expected, the experience was still enjoyable.

If you're not familiar with the Greyline Station, it's a former bus depot which has been transformed into a miniature mall of sorts, with numerous vendors located inside, and I had read a sign that they hold a Farmer's Market on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-7:00 pm. The facility has an accommodatingly large parking lot with plenty of spaces. Nowwwww, to the REAL reason for this review! Once I parked and exited my vehicle, I smelled the most amazing fried chicken, and immediately searched for the source of such an enticing aroma. As I walked towards the building, I saw two nice gentleman sitting outside of the building, near a sign that said Wing KYng, and AHA, SCORE, I found the source of the wonderful fried chicken aroma! Those two gentlemen happened to work in Wing KYng. I told them once I procured my one sought out item in the farmer's market inside the building, I would be returning to procure some of that chicken. Upon my return to Wing KYng, I began asking my typical questions: do they have anything gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and egg free? The staff member was very knowledgeable and advised me that the dry rubs were my best option. I have a myriad of food sensitivities, so I browsed the dry rub options available, and chose a 6 piece chicken wings with Lemon Pepper dry rub. O M Goodness!!Fabulous is the first word to come to mind! The skin was so delectably crunchy, the chicken was moist and tender, and the flavor was perfectly balanced! The cost was $12.00, which is a great price in my mind for the best fried chicken I've had in a good many years. Although I cannot speak to these items, they offer a wide variety of flavors, dips, and Parmesan coated home cut French fries as well. I witnessed one staff member actually cutting the potatoes for the French fries. Truly nice folks work here, and the chicken was phenomenal!!! I will be returning here for sure!
