We stopped in to get coffee again. My friend got a regular coffee and two glazed donuts. I got the iced vanilla bean latte and the caramel turtle donut. I must admit when I saw the size of her donuts I laughed because they were so big. Long story short what she got was a cronut not the traditional cake donut. Previously I've had the raspberry filled donut there and it was really good. The caramel turtle is also a cronut. She asked what kind of dough it was my guess was brioche because of the texture. I could be wrong. I liked my donut although it was a little messy to eat . My friend on the other hand didn't care for the cronut. The coffee though is always on point and it didn't disappoint. As for customer service they really are on point. I've been there a total of three times so far and every time they've been friendly and patient. Plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. They are located on the corner of Euclid Ave and Marquis, next door to Kroger. If you turn off of Euclid to Marquis, once on Marquis, you can then immediately back-in to a spacious angled parking spot. I am gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and soy-free, and this establishment offers doughnuts with these specifications. And I'm so glad they do! The staff member helped me navigate the menu and was super helpful. Only the vanilla-based vegan gluten-free doughnuts are soy-free, so if you cannot tolerate soy, do not order the chocolate-based doughnuts. I ordered the vanilla-based vegan, gluten-free, soy-free French Toast doughnut, as well and the vanilla-based vegan, gluten-free, soy-free Strawberry Shortcake doughnut. since the reviews were all over the place, I decided to give it a go this morning. haven't had a donut in years. If you've ever had a cake doughnut, thats what these are. The croissant style doughnut is for the reg gluten ones only! Which means the gorgeous presentation online/in display cases, is not the same as what us GF peeps get. That said, these are still yummy, but it's the standard we're all used to. I saw other comments about dryness, mine weren't Denseness, these are hefty, because they're more like cake. I wanted the vanilla and chocolate bases, but all they had this morning was chocolate. You choose one of the 2 bases then the top glaze: French toast, Strawberry, Blueberry, Chocolate with sprinkles (there were 1 or 2 others that I can't recall). The chocolate on chocolate was lovely, but I was only able to eat half because it is so rich. The blueberry was my favorite, but wish it had been on a vanilla doughnut instead of chocolate. What an awesome find in Lexington! Wife and I wanted something quick and easy before our day of outdoor market fun started on Saturday. After a quick Yelp search I suggested Parlor Doughnuts and boy were we amazed by the doughnuts. My wife said that Parlor Doughnuts is definitely her favorite of all time. We both loved the texture that Parlor doughnuts have, almost like a croissant (or doughsant) type. Not overly sweetened dough, but the sugar cinnamon dusting brings it all together. Absolutely incredible doughnuts. Nice and light, slightly chewy, and packed with flavor, their options are expansive with something for whatever you may be craving, all tasting fantastic. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. The interior was clean, spacious and inviting with a cool environment. The coffee though was a bit strange, and I am not sure if it was just that day or a new staff member, but after ordering a simple double shot of espresso we watched from a distance as they struggled to operate their quite honestly incredible machine. After three staff members, referencing some binder, and quite some time later, I was handed a cup half full of coffee, a bit confusing. The pricing was definitely on the higher side for doughnuts but they were well worth it in my opinion given the "gourmet" nature of them. Would definitely recommend and will return. read more

This is simple: GET THE LAYERED DONUTS! I was shocked at how unique these were. The donut has an airy flaky crunch when you cut into it. Soft gooey inside with a satisfying crispy exterior... my eyes and jaw opened wide with excitement. Wow these rock! My favorite flavors were the strawberry shortcake and Bourbon caramel. I also personally enjoyed the keto maple donut, which was low in sugar and fat. My girlfriend didn't like the flavor, but I did. It was a moist cake donut texture, so that's either up your alley or not. Also worth noting was the comfortable seating, as the leather chairs and wide wooden tables made for a nice study space. The walls are all glass so there's also a lot of natural light, and they offer free wifi. I didn't see many electric plugs, though, just FYI. My family and I tried Parlor Doughnuts one weekend as part of our mission to try all the doughnut spots in town! There was easy street parking which was nice- the meters are free on the weekends (I believe). There are so many topping options to choose from! We chose four to sample: french toast, peanut butter cup, blueberry hill, and turtle cheesecake. They were all very good- the same basic doughnut but with different toppings. Parlor calls their doughnut "layered style" and while it was very good, I really love a cake-style doughnut and I wish they offered different types of doughnut bakes. As well as a plain option- I have a not-yet-2-year-old and we try not to overload him with sugar. Overall a very cool spot with a unique doughnut style! So glad we check out this spot while in town. Found it on yelp, of course and the pictures of the donuts made me slightly drool. Very clean establishment with decorative flooring. All their donuts seem to be rolled in a cinnamon sugar then they add the topping. I only saw a few filled ones. I opted for the carnival donut cause the little kid in me is a sucker for rainbow sprinkles. Pops got the turtle cheesecake which seemed to sell out within minutes afterwards. This donut shop has a widespread variety of locations. I'd bookmarked them during my trip to Nashville and missed them, only to find them opening up weeks later in Lexington, fortunately for me. The variety of flavors they had was quite impressive, and I had to think about it before arriving at a churro donut, which was as light and fluffy as one could hope for, while still indulgent in taste. I was rather interested in their shake selection too, but I'd had enough sugar for one day so I'll have to come back. The most pertinent comparison to me seems to be to our local North Lime, which has a smaller selection but more distinctive and local options, as well as a more caky and less fluffy texture. They're both quite impressive. Also worthy of note: they do offer some vegan/GF donuts which they will apparently custom glaze, and their shakes come vegan as well. read more

Let me tell you about the most unique, delicious, delectable doughnuts I've ever had. I've been seeing the buzz on FB about a new doughnut shop coming to Lexington. I love a good doughnut, so I definitely wanted to give them a try. My daughter and I stopped in on day one of the soft opening. It was quite busy and there was a line, but upon entering we were greeted and handed a menu to browse while we waited. The line moved quickly and soon it was our turn. The staff behind the counter was very nice and patient and they took time to let us know what was in the doughnuts we were interested in. There's plenty of room to sit down and done inside. The decor is very reminiscent of an ice-cream parlor. I'm guessing that's an ode to the name of the business, Besides doughnuts, they offer breakfast sandwiches, coffee, tea, and fresh pressed juices. We took our doughnuts to go and when we got home, my life was changed forever. OMG these doughnuts are magical!!! I mean seriously they are unlike anything I have ever eaten. It's a croissant & doughnut combination that I didn't know I needed in my life. Who came up with the concept??? It's nothing short of pure genius. It's literally a party in your mouth. This is just what I observed today. Overall for the first day the doors opened I think everything went very well. There were plenty of doughnuts, fresh batches were constantly being brought out. Wild berry - reminiscent of a pop tart, but totally says "king me." Orange creamsicle - if you love orange creamsicle YOU will LOVE this.
