It would be hard to chose between Daylight and Daily donuts in Nicholasville, but I will say that this definitely is a great contender of donuts. One of the notable things was the variety of fillings they had in their donuts and noticed that they had pineapple filled donuts, one of the first places I had seen with such a filling. Overall, all the donuts were warm and tasty. The pineapple one was a bit weird and felt it needed something else to improve on the taste, but it wasn't off-putting. Both the filled donuts we got had a decent amount of filling in them and were tasty, and I enjoyed the chocolate cake donut, which is something I generally avoid mainly because I never find them special. I would definitely suggest trying this place out for some delicious donuts! read more

Despite the strip mall hole in the wall vibe, the donuts are quite good. They are not revolutionary or innovative but very consistent and of a high quality. Their croissant sandwiches also surprised me. The ham, egg and cheese was large and freshly prepared. The quality of the croissant and other ingredients rendered it far superior to any other fast food breakfast options. It was well worth the $4.99. The servers are always polite and attentive. I don't normally do this, and dont get me wrong, the doughnuts are great! But not once did the men helping me change their gloves after handing cash. They took cash from the person in front of me, kept the same gloves on, took my order and handled my cash, and helped the person behind me! All in the same pair of gloves they were wearing before i walked in. Cant say I will be coming back until this practice has stopped. read more

The chocolate frosted glazed were bad. The chocolate was off putting taste wise. Every other doughnut was unreal and melted in your mouth. Cinnamon sugar was unbelievable!! $45 dollars wasted. We got super excited when we went to try this place because based on pictures it looked exactly like our hole in the wall place in Louisville. Everything was disappointing. Doughnuts tasted old and stale, the breakfast sandwiches tasted awful and when we asked for a dozen doughnuts, the guy tried to give us all the same ones in the corner. My husband had to ask him like " hey.....there's a whole other side over here, they don't have to be all the same..." the guy wasn't too happy to comply with this, like they were trying to pawn off all their un/lesser sold doughnuts on us. No idea how this place has so many good reviews unless they lost the staff that actually knew what they were doing and made the the place good. read more

This morning a coworker decided to bring doughnuts from this place. When I saw the bright yellow box, I was actually excited to see what would be laying within. My eyes first focused on this hand looking doughnut and I asked what it was. Apparently, it was a "bear claw". The thing with this bear claw was that it was glazed with apple filling and with chunks of baked apple. It was amazing! I think this creativity takes it up a notch, kind of a more natural, nutritious take on a doughnut. I stopped at Daylight doughnuts on my way to work this morning to treat my coworkers after a long work week and left completely dissatisfied with the customer service I received. I ordered iced coffees along with some doughnuts. The woman at the counter brought me frozen coffees & doughnuts instead of iced coffees. After explaining that there was a mistake and that I'd ordered iced coffee not frozen coffee (which I didn't even know was an option) she proceeded to argue with me and finally very rudely ended with "No you wanted frozen, you ordered frozen not iced."- she then proceeded to put them in a carrier, pushed the carrier toward me. I was so shocked by her lack of respect, terrible attitude and outright dismissal of customer service. She refused to fix the problem- being that I was on my way to work and didn't have time to stop somewhere else I was forced to buy two ICED coffees and ended up giving the two frozen coffees (which I never ordered) to other coworkers. I am more than dissatisfied with daylight doughnuts and will definitely not be back- don't recommend. read more
