On a night that isn't terribly humid, the moon is high and the temperature is manageable this is a lovely place to eat a pizza and drink a beer. I love the patio and music. Definitely a vibe. We had four pizzas. The loaded potato, the margherita, the supreme and chicken bacon ranch. The supreme was far and away fantastic! Chicken bacon ranch was a close second. Margherita used dried basil which definitely took away from the brightness and overall look of the pizza. Still good, just not expected. The potato pizza was disappointing. I would have liked a garlic béchamel sauce drizzled on top or something to balance out the blandness. Also, cracked peppercorn should not equal 7/8 of a peppercorn. Seems like there is another gap in management. Been coming here for yeas with many ups and downs. Tried to avoid ordering pizza tonight as other members of our party had already gotten theirs and was clearly undercooked (a common problem here). Then was told they were out of bruschetta, out of wine, out of Caesar dressing, out of lemon vinaigrette.... The list goes on. Caved and order the pizza WELL DONE and cheese is not even fully melted. First off, the pizza and beer were great. They have a great selection of both. Abby, our waitress was on-point throughout our lunch. Now for the not so great. As we know, most of us eat pizza with our hands. Both bathrooms had a commercial roll of toilet paper just lying on a shelf. Which means you had to pick up the "communal" roll with both hands. Also, we walked in the entrance that had bags of flower just laying on a the floor. This was along with some cleaning supplies. Our table had loose screws connecting the pedestal to the table. It felt like it was going to fall in our lap at any moment. To those fellow reviewers that say they need better management, I wholeheartedly agree. The quality of the pizza and dough was not up to the standards it once was. $32 for a pizza it better be excellent!!! Not here... The pizza was not light and tasty but soggy and felt mass produced. Even the red sauce was terrible . Why? What has happened? I bought two pizzas and they were so different to the ecstatic taste I had 2 years ago and recently only 4 months ago... the roast vegetables were half the size that they have been... We stopped in for an early dinner and were able to grab a table. They have a great beer list, and I tried one of the local ciders. We decided to order two specialty pizzas for the group to share and we ended up on The Loaded Baked Potato and The Pulled Pork. Loaded baked potato: definitely a good pizza, but on the dry side. I would've loved a ranch drizzle, or sour cream to pair with the flavors. Pulled pork: also a good pizza, and again on the dry side. I would've loved a bbq sauce drizzle on this one. Rollin Oven needs to get better managers. Managing the orders is horrible, at party of 6 a persons meal/ small pizza should not come out before the appetizer when it is blended feta cheese is the hardest part. Pizza came out with red onion when supposed to be no red onion and I saw waitress write it down. Then last pizza never came out until we asked. Lastly servers should have zones/ sections so they walk past all the rest of their tables so they can see they are missing food, need beverages refreshed, boxes, check. Servers are all over the place, walking all over the patio and deck, 3 different servers in the deck area alone. It took 10-15 minutes to see our server so that only made the kitchen problems worst. It shows they do not have good leadership and then raised their prices since last time we came. It is a fun atmosphere for a bar but as a restaurant they need to do better. read more

We had already been there so long we knew what we wanted. We then wait ten more minutes just to get our WATERS. The waitress pushed my friend's phone across the table with the water tray and didn't say one word. Finally we awkwardly ordered with her. ** the place was not packed. Maybe 4 tables inside and 4 tables outside total. The waitress would drop things off at our table and not say a word. We watched multiple parties come in and leave because they were ignored. Maybe some staff training would go along way. It seems like they don't help each other out. They just stick to their duties and let three staff drown taking care of tables. The staff keeps disappearing and come back for five minutes at a time. There is no sense of urgency for the multiple tables of patrons that are staring at them wondering what the heck is going on. No one came in to check to see if we even liked the food. I ordered bruschetta as my meal and it was never made. It was so frustrating awkward and honestly weird. Instead of having them make my meal I just cancelled it because I didn't want to wait 30 more minutes for it. That being said when we finally go our food it was very good! Would I ever come back? First time there and a bit of a struggle. The food was ok and our server was good. Ordered two pizzas. One was delivered to our table without the other. We waited and finally were told the other was sent to the wrong table. So we waited and finally got to us. No apologies from management. Left it to the server. Got the bill and the prices did not match those on the menu. When I worked in food service there would have been a managers apology and a discount. Neither happened. This review is for one awful experience, which was unique from all previous experiences. But this will provide a warning to anyone ordering take-out. On 1/31/25 we showed up on a Friday evening. It was packed, as expected. We decided to place an order for take-out so some of the family could be dropped off at home. Order placed at 6:55pm and given an estimated 30 mins. I showed back up at 7:30. I was told it was still cooking. I waited till 8:10 pm only to be told "sorry, not sure where the order went". They provided me with a refund and seemed to just be content with that solution. That's just the gamble you take when you place an order for take-out on a busy night. Wasted a lot of time to only be very hungry late at night. A full refund for an order never received seems like a lousey way to make that experience right. Hence, 1 star on Yelp. read more

We visited Rolling Oven Taproom in Versailles hoping for a light lunch before a distillery tour, but the experience was a disaster from the start. The front doors were locked, and customers had to let others in. We sat at the bar and received menus quickly, but after asking for a minute to decide, the server never returned. After waiting over 20 minutes with no service, we had to leave to avoid being late for our tour--without ever getting food. The young staff seemed inattentive and disorganized. The dining room was overrun with young children, so this is probably not a good place for adults looking for a more mature ambiance. Same lady had a 20 top that she brought everything out, and completely bussed her own table, our waiter a brownish red hair waitress stated in her phone and talking to another employee. We received our pizza at approximately 9:00pm, brought out by someone other than our server. After bussing the 20 top she then went through and took out all the trash from the place and then handled people at the bar. Our server during this time has only been on her phone and staring at the computer screen. Most employees are just hanging around talking while this blonde lady is working her tail off. There was a kid with a backpack on behind the bar talking to customers, he couldn't have been more than 15. Literally every employee is standing there talking while this single blonde lady is budding her tables and resetting the 20 top, took out the trash, all while they stood there and talked. Furthermore it is now 9:10 And the last time we spoke with our waitress was 8:39pm. At this time our server now started eating again so we went up and asked for boxes for our food and the check. At 9:15 she came out from behind the bar and got another customers check and processed it within seconds yet the blonde server from another section was the one who printed our ticket. We ended up handing cash directly to the blonde lady, not only did she actually help us, but she worked her butt off and deserves a raise for being the only employee that I saw that actually cares about providing proper customer service and work ethic. From having been a trainer who focused specifically on customer service I gotta tell you, this place is failing hard in that regard. This business fails on teamwork, fails on professionalism. I attached several photos showing the employees standing around while one person worked. The bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had, and the chicken and Gouda pizza was almost great. Pleasantly surprised by this small, family owned restaurant. It was hard to locate as it is tucked in a corner, however, happy to find this gem! We were visiting from Ohio. Despite packed tables, the servers were constantly moving around to gather orders, serve drinks and food as well as man the wood fire oven! Very impressed by all of their hard work! The wings were meaty and flavorful, the pizzas were so creative and delicious! We loved the Forest Floor- a special pizza for a limited time, but needs to be a regular.
