I would argue I'm a regular at this particular Blaze Pizza. I've been to many, but none compare to this one. They keep it clean, organized, and efficient. I believe this to be due to fantastic management from their manager Jeremy! I've never made a trip to Blaze without seeing Jeremy there. He is enthusiastic, attentive, welcoming, and a really genuine guy. He is dedicated to his position and his crew. If you haven't been to this Blaze yet, go! This was more first time at Blaze Pizza and I was disappointed. I have tried MOD pizza and Pie Five and Blaze does not compare. I went on a Sunday and they were quite busy. The service was slow and somewhat disorganized. I feel this restaurant is over priced and lacks the quality of other comparable pizza restaurants. I ordered a one topping pizza with chicken. The worst Blaze pizza I've ever been to. The pizza was terrible. Like actually inedible. The salad bowl was not clean and behind the counter where they keep the bowls had crumbs of all kinds of food. This was a great little stop for Friday date night in between errands. We stopped in around 5:00pm Friday. There's a personal parking lot for the facility and plenty of seating for a busy night. At this time it wasn't too busy. There were individual menus on the wall, as you walked to go up to order if you were to have to wait in line but since there wasn't one, we walked right up and used the big menu overhead. We asked if it was personal pizzas or if they did larger sizes and he said personal. So Austin chose the meat lovers and I picked the one similar to a caprese with tomatoes mozzarella and basil with olive oil drizzle (I added balsamic vinegar glaze at the end after cooked), I can't remember the name. The automatic crust is like a thin crust, but they had other options. The pizzas are hand-prepped in front of you and then they push it down to go into the brick oven. They call your name and pizza when it's completed and enjoy! We did indeed enjoy it! They weren't too burnt as sometimes you get with brick ovens and lightly sauces like I like. I wish the tomatoes on mine were sun dried because they were too big being cherry tomatoes for the short time in the oven to get anything and didn't provide much flavor to it. I do recommend getting the added sea salt to your pizza before firing it up, it helps pop all the flavors! We will definitely be back!! read more

First timers. Hope this isn't a fluke. First five star I've given (I think!!). The service is great, prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. I can't think of any other pizza place that allows you to swap toppings, meats especially, for no extra charge. The one size pizza option is great too, and they let you halve the pizzas if you can't decide on a signature style. The BYO salad is awesome! Draft beer selection is 3, but they also have several bottled beers and two wines, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Chardonnay. We will definitely return! read more

I was so excited to try out Blaze after hearing they offered vegan cheese but unfortunately that was the only dissapointing factor. I chose Blaze for lunch on a Wednesday. The wait standing through the line was just over 20 minutes and the line was pretty long the whole time I was there. I think with it being a new restaurant and rush hour it was something to expect. You order like you would at subway- build your own over a glass window talking to an assembly crew. Anything over 2 toppings is $8.25 and I think that's a great deal. My BF's pizza was great. He and I would highly recommend the spicy sauce. I honestly couldn't eat mine. The vegan cheese was just not good. It was SO SO slimy (I can't reiterate this enough) and had a very pungent smell. I am 100% confident I would have loved it otherwise. I scraped it all off and tried to salvage my toppings. I will be returning and avoiding the cheese. I would only finish the whole pizza in one sitting if I was really hungry. The crust is relatively thin, but you can order it to with higher rising crust for an additional charge (75¢ maybe?). I like that you can build your own pizza without being charged for every topping you choose- it is a flat price of 8.75 after tax I believe. Blaze Fast-Fired Pizza is one of several great options for dining at the Summitt. They offer fast oven-fired pizza which makes it a good option for lunch during your work week or if you're trying to squeeze a meal in before some scheduled event. Their menu says pizzas are finished in 180 seconds, and that seemed about right in my experience. You can choose from their own signature pizzas like the Meat Eater (pepperoni, meatballs, onions), veggie pizzas like the Veg Out, or something different like their Green Stripe (grilled chicken, arugula, garlic, red peppers with a pesto drizzle. The latter is a favorite of mine. You can also build your own (BYO), which is always a great option since you can basically choose any toppings for one price. Both the signature and BOY pizzas are one price ($8.25), while one toppings are a reasonable $6.75. That's just too good to pass up. I can go with the applewood bacon and chicken along with vegetable favorites like artichoke hearts, garlic, onions, jalapenos, banana peppers with my choice of cheese and a garlic pesto or the buffalo sauce. Every pizza I have had so far has been very good or better. You get six slices with ample toppings, and they could easily be made into two meals with a side salad. Doughs include original, high-rising and gluten-free. Their salad options come in side or entree sizes, made fresh daily. These included a Caesar, tomato & mozzarella, or their arugula & fruit. I personally recommend the arugula salad with the mix of the peppery taste of the leafy arugula along with fresh fruits like beets and apples, and goat cheese. Another reason to like Blaze is their drink options. Along with the usual soft drinks and iced tea, they offer agua frescas (original or blood-red lemonade, strawberry, and mango. They also offer beer and wine. There's ample seating inside and a nice sized patio outside for the better days we're now seeing in Lexington. I'm definitely a fan of blaze. It's so good. I like it better than pie five. I will say it just gets pricey. I like to do a build your own which is $8.95 and then the high rise crust which is an extra $2. It's HUGE though. I can easily make two meal if not three out of it. If you order the high rise, you might want the, to cook it a little longer than normal. The first time I got it, the bottom crust separated from the rest of the pizza. I was really excited for the fired fresh ingredient pizza so I was willing to wait the,probably, 20 minutes in line. I was getting food for my kids though, and maybe a slice for me, so I ordered 2 single top pizzas. The cook line was little bit disorganized at the register. My order was to go. While waiting I was playing on my phone, and the expediting person threw the metal number on the ground, I guess to wake me up if I didn't hear my name called, so when the second box was up and my name called, I grabbed the two and left. Fortunately for me, unfortunate for someone else and one kid, I had someone else's delicious veggie pizza and a sausage. Felt bad for other people who probably had to redo their BYO pizza.
