The cashier was counting cigarette packs and I stood there about 3 minutes waiting on him to finish. It was $7.99 for the tiny bottle of Nyquil, but I needed it so I got it anyway. The cashier rang it up at almost $11. I said that was wrong, the price said $7.99. He mumbled something I couldn't understand and just looked at me. I motioned to walk back to the aisle with me, and he did, and I showed him the price. He mumbled some more. I told him to just give me the right price and I'd be good. We went back to the register--I expected him to credit me a couple of bucks. He reached me back my $10 and took the Nyquil and walked away. I stood there a minute, then motioned to the Nyquil. He mumbled something else that was obviously negative, something about "you wanted a refund." I said no, I just wanted a credit of a couple of bucks to get the advertised price. He said whatever it rings up to IS the price. I left and bought a bigger bottle of Nyquil at the Thorton's for less money, and had a much nicer cashier. It's not the buck or two... it's the attitude that drove me away. If your employees aren't empowered to make purchases right, you must not trust them very much, and if you don't trust them, you shouldn't have them working for you.

They also sell beer & other beverages, snacks, chips, candy, lottery tickets, even Hannah's Pickled Eggs. Outdoor seating or grab a booth inside on the right w/ all the locals & say hi. They'd have a solid 5 stars, but I don't think many regulars around these parts use Yelp. Being an Indian woman from the city, I have never felt uncomfortable or out of place walking in here. I thoroughly enjoy the company, friendly banter, food & catching up on racehorse politics, about the Derby & latest news & events. Another Great Visit to Jeff's Donuts…read more Stopped by Jeff's Donuts again the other day and tried a few more items -- and once again, they were fantastic. The service was quick, and the shop was clean and well kept, which always makes the experience better. I ordered a honey bun, and I have to say, the honey glaze is absolutely amazing. It's probably my favorite thing there so far. I'd much rather grab one from Jeff's than buy a honey bun from a gas station any day. I also tried the raspberry jelly-filled donut dipped in chocolate. The flavor was great, though the jelly wasn't evenly distributed -- one side was lighter while the other was packed. Still really good overall. I also had the Tiger Tail, which was amazing and something I'll definitely be ordering again in the future. Overall, Jeff's Donuts continues to impress. Quick service, great donuts, and a clean shop -- I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!
