Kim chi soup

I can't get enough of this place. Their soups are so flavorful and I love all the little side bites. If you like spicy you're in for a treat. Ask for the house made spicy sauce.

7/21/24 My husband and I and my mother came here after church for some lunch. The restaurant was not very busy and we were seated immediately upon entry. This was our first time here and we opted out for the BBQ option. (Cooking your food in front of you) Arirang Korean Restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delightful offerings. The kimbap was perfectly tender and flavorful, while the shrimp tempura was light and crispy. The fried mandu provided a satisfying crunch, and the fried chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. Everything was served fresh and hot, made to order. The staff's friendliness and accommodating nature added to the pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended!

this was the BOMB. oh my god. I was battling the lingering smell of warm beef on my clothes after visiting, but despite that I have no regrets about eating at Arirang! the kpop chicken is insanely good, like some of the best I've ever had, and the bulgoki was delicious. a slay, if I do say so myself.

This is really about the experience... it's just fun to grill your own food. The staff was great. We got the meat and seafood combo and the the Bul Go Ki was my favorite. The saki was hot and the Bourbon Barrel Ale was cold - my two favorite drinks. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because of the condition of the grill hoods. With the dust and grease on them it looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a year and just gave off an unclean vibe for the whole place. Overall I am definitely glad be tried it and I would go back.

I used to go here all the time for a barbecue, but this time I came here for lunch to eat one of the noodle dishes. They didn't have the noodle dish. I wonder for lunch so I ended up ordering off the dinner menu which they said, was fine. I got the black bean noodle, which was super delicious but I felt like the portion was super small and then after I finish out the noodles I ordered a cup of hot rice to eat with the rest of the sauce. The side dishes were super delicious, but I feel like other clear restaurants that will refill at once. We finished it but this time they did not refill it. The restaurant is super cute but the only thing that I would say about it is it has a super strong smell of barbecue meat and felt a little greasy in there even though it was early in the morning.

It's open until 9pm. We needed some sustenance from our road trip. Korean was a good option over going to downtown Lexington, which was over 11 miles or so off of 75. We wanted to not stray too far off our freeway path. Their menu is on the QR code. It's quiet inside. One other family is inside. The spicy popcorn chicken, japchae, bibimbap and all of the banchans look so good here. It's across the parking lot from Burke furniture. The bathrooms are behind the bar when you first walk inside. They have vented tables everywhere. We started with the tteokbokki, popcorn chicken. We also ordered the kimchi jjigae soup. The popcorn chicken is quite tasty, piping hot, sweet, tangy, flavorful and has a nice amount of heat to it too. The tteokbokki is sweet and spicy, the sauce has some punch and reminds me of a sweet chili sauce even. A different take on tteokbokki than I have had before, not bad. The banchans are quite varied: beans, kimchi, radish cubed kimchi, shredded radish kimchi, shredded radish, Bok choy, bean sprout pickled radish and cucumber kimchi. The bok choy and kimchi weren't my favorite of the banchans. I like my kimchi crunchy and super fresh, less fermented. The boy choy had a strange taste to it for me. It's fantastic the array and variety of banchans are plentiful here. The kimchi jjigae is bubbling hot. It's tasty as expected. They were able to omit the pork out of the soup for me too. The service here is attentive, friendly and quite efficient here.

The food was delicious. The server was very kind and helped light the grill for us. The server was also very funny. The owners are very kind. The lighting is soft and ambient. The air is a perfect temperature. I like the warm feeling of the restaurant and it feels very hospitable. I definitely will come again.

Skip that new Korean chain place!! Head down the street to the best Authentic Korean BBQ in Lexington! They also offer a buffet for dinner and weekends but also have a BBQ for two on the menu that is super filling if you go during lunch or a time that buffet isn't offered. My favorite is that they offer all the traditional sides that are so delicious!! If you think the new place is good, try the old place that's been here all along! It's 100x better!! And your supporting local Lexington family!

I am updating my review because I've been here a couple more times, and each time I like it more and more. My go to dish is the Yook Gye Jang, it's a spicy soup with lots of veggies and beef. It is amazing. We always have great service here as well.

Another amazing meal at our favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is always quiet & subdued, the service is friendly & inviting, and the food is always delicious. We love the grill tables, the side dishes, and the simple presentation of it all; every meal we have had here has been superb, and exactly why we keep coming back. This visit we just wanted Dolsot Bibimbap, in a stone bowl, just the way we like it. What a splendid meal. We shared a large hot sake and enjoyed each other's quiet company after a hectic work week. Just what we both needed to unwind, and what a meal. If you love Korean, do yourself a favor and eat here regularly. You'll love it.

My husband and I ordered take-out from here a year go, but finally got the chance to dine in last night. We arrived within the last hour, but we still had the opportunity to try the Korean bbq. It was amazing! First, as soon as I walked in I knew I would like it because the smell of the grilled meats was intensely aromatic. They use charcoal grills and we had the kalbi, bulgogi, samgyeopsal, and plenty of banchan. For a little over $100, we left full and very satisfied. This place is a must-visit if you are in Lexington.!

Lx Bbq - Brisket combo with smoked potato salad

The only thing they were out of was the smoked turkey which just gives me a reason to go back. We ordered almost all the meats, plus sides of mac and cheese, greens, and potato salad. The meal also came with blueberry cornbread and regular cornbread, and we finished it off with their homemade Biscoff dessert, which was so unique and so good. This was honestly some of the best BBQ I've had!! The meats were incredibly flavorful and tender and the sides were just as good. I genuinely think this place is underrated. The service was amazing! Everyone was super kind and welcoming even though we came close to closing time. We never felt rushed. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, both clean and perfect for groups. I'll 100% be back.

Although we parked on a side street initially, we saw that there was a separate parking lot right next to the place that had plenty of spaces open. The staff here was super welcoming, not rushing us to order as they cut the brisket right in front of us for other customers. We both got the Brisket Sandwich combo which came with a side (we got potato salad and mac n cheese) which the staff member asked about what type of cut we wanted (fatty, lean, mix of both). We both got a mix. There is not too many seats inside so all the tables were full that day, but there is seating outside. The staff member was willing to use the table where they keep the utensils and sauces for everyone so we could eat inside (it was a bit chilly that day) but I didn't mind sitting outside. Although it was cold outside, I honestly did not care after taking a bite of the sandwich. Juicy and melting in my mouth, I have to say this is some of the best brisket I've ever had! I highly recommend pairing it with their BBQ sauce which really pulled it all together. Their potato salad was okay, as I prefer a more pickley potato salad, but their mac n cheese was delicious. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lexington and looking for a quick, delicious BBQ meal!

Spam was a little salty (duh, that's to be expected) but well fried. The fried sunny side up egg was amazeballs too, so rich and runny. Fries were hot and crispy as well, but honestly the spam and eggs (which also came with sticky rice and macaroni salad) was so filling that I barely touched the fries. This delicious smorgasbord was only 9 dollars! My colleague had the juicer, which is mahi mahi with cabbage slaw and spicy mayo. He also got the Hawaiian style fries. Topped with spicy mayo, sweet soy, house chili sauce, green onion, and sesame seed, this is an extravagant dish! He enjoyed it. My other colleague got spam musubi is spam and sweet soy on sticky rice, wrapped in seaweed. He says it's his favorite dish from there. Other dishes include kalua pork (Hawaiian bbq sauce), teriyaki chicken, grilled tofu, coconut shrimp, and katsu, which is panko fried pork with their house sauces. For a meal out of the ordinary, give Big Kahuna a try. They say they have the "second best fish sandwich in town!" (Charlie's claims the first spot).
