C2. General Tso's Chicken (Combination Platter)
    Caitlyn J.

Food was just okay. General Tso's barely had flavor and coating was soggy. Crab rangoons were okay but I wish were a little more crispy. Overall not the best and not the worst.

Update 12/03/24: I…read morewas looking to have an order delivered and after viewing their online menu, I had a couple of questions to ask before I could decide if this establishment still offered food options which I could consume. I called and spoke with Wong, and he assured me they still offer gluten-free items. I then asked if they have Pho Ga (chicken broth with chicken as the protein), as I am not a fan of Pho Bo (beef broth with beef as the protein). He said it's not on the menu, but when placing the online order, I could select Beef Pho and add notes stating I wanted chicken broth and chicken as the protein, so that is what I did. I also ordered a gluten-free veggie roll, and had it delivered. The food arrived before the expected delivery time, which was a plus. When I opened my containers, I was surprised and disappointed that the broth was not the chicken broth I ordered, but beef instead. They do offer chicken and rice soup on the menu, so I assumed they had chicken broth, especially after I was instructed to add the instruction notes to my order. The noodles, chicken, and accompaniments were all fresh, but all thrown together in one big pile in the container. This is more of a preference thing for me, as I am accustomed to having them all separate, but this is not a deal breaker by any means. I must say, the chicken was truly divine, succulent even, very moist, and that is difficult to manage for chicken breast. I did try the beef broth, and I did not like it. The gluten-free veggie roll was all grease, I took one bite and the grease oozed out of it. Needless to say it was placed in the bin. I'm not giving up on this establishment, but will go in person to place my orders in the future.

I ended up ordering a few appetizers. The Hot & Sour Soup was the standout... flavorful, comforting, and easily a 5/5 on a cold n wet day. Unfortunately, the rest didn't quite hit the mark. The shrimp rolls were below average... mostly lettuce, the shrimps were dried out, and they took about 10 extra minutes to come out. The crab rangoon was the biggest disappointment; the filling had an unpleasant smell and tasted like heavy, clotted cream cheese and there wasn't even an iota of imitation crab meat to justify that name. My friends ordered egg rolls, which actually looked pretty good (I'd say a solid 4/5), and Singapore noodles, which unfortunately looked underwhelming. Overall, there are a few bright spots, especially the soup, but the food quality and atmosphere were inconsistent. With some updates and more attention to freshness and flavor, this place could really improve.

He was attentive and kind. We enjoyed the lovers plate. Basically, an appetizer sampler. Everything on the plate was perfectly fried. The flavors were good. The Singapore noodles were not what I am used to. Ordinarily it's a green curry, there was no taste of curry. The shrimp were cooked well and it was served with a hot sauce on the plate. It wasn't bad, just not as expected. My dining partner had the paradise fish. A fried filet of fish with vegetables and a sweet sauce. She really enjoyed the meal. All in all, a good experience. We will go back and I plan to try the pho on our next trip.

You can only order/pick up food from here, there is no dining in, but not that you would want to. Also the menu is limited, but again, food quality for the price point is great. So if you're in the mood for Thai food in Lexington, do yourself a favor and get it at NAT's. It is located right past the back garden of Harvey's and before the Irish Shoppe and McCarthy's, if you're coming South.

O.M.G....I have found the authentic Thai restaurant in Kentucky -- Nat's is it!!…read more Nat's is a very unassuming lil takeout only restaurant tucked into the side of McCarthy's Irish Bar and shares a front entrance with an Irish gift shop. It sounds odd, but totally worked! My friend and I walked up one afternoon, ordered food inside the restaurant, was told by the owner to "go next door, order a drink and he will bring the food over". We went to McCarthy's, ordered a couple of Pepsi and sat in the cutest nook by the window. Our orders arrived soon: Kobe beef grapao, shrimp salad. Wow! The flavors are sharp, distinct and intense, like Thai flavors are supposed to be. I would say the grapao's spice level is about medium for me. The salad was so spicy that I couldn't finish it. If you have the tendency to want "Thai Hot" in your dishes, this is the place that can serve it up! If you look at the photos poated by other Yelpers, you'll see many other special menu items not found at any other local Thai places. i cannot wait to come back for them! Btw, there is also a nice courtyard next door w available seating during warmer months.

It just wasn't what I thought it would be. For me the flavor just wasn't there . But the lo mein noodles were really good and we enjoyed them. As for the dumplings we enjoyed those as well. But I didn't like the dipping sauce they came with. This was our first time trying PF Chang and to be honest I don't see a repeat but I get other people love this place . It reminded me of sweet and sour chicken with just a little heat and lacked the bold, complex, spicy flavor I expected. The pork egg rolls were filled with plenty of pork, but the filling was rolled into a very tight log with an odd, dense texture that wasn't enjoyable. The egg rolls were also overfried and nearly burnt. The crab wontons were disappointing as well. The filling was dry instead of creamy and lacked the rich flavor I expected. The brown and white rice were cooked well, but that was the only other positive. Overall, this meal did not meet my expectations. Aside from the Mongolian Beef, the food lacked flavor and quality. Based on this experience, I won't be ordering from or dining at this restaurant again.
