Jade Garden is currently doing eat in buffet style. The staff serve the items you want to your plate if you're eating in, but for take out they give you gloves and a box to serve yourself. I think they're following great COVID guidelines. Besides that, the food is okay. Sometimes items are cold or look like they've been left out too long. Overall, it's a decent place to get fast American Chinese food. We return there often, but I've definitely had better. At the moment, it's the place to go. read more

Big screen TV's on the walls, and updated buffet counter, updated seating, it's all very clean and modern. The food is the same - excellent, and the staff are all the same excellent people. We go here everytime we are in Winchester and the food is always good. The only issue I had was getting a refill from our waitress. I would have understood if they were busy but we went on the slow part of the day and she walked by several times looking at my empty glass and just kept walking. Other than that we always have a great experience. The price is cheap for the amount of food you get. read more

My parents frequent this spot. I'm in for Christmas and we always have Chinese once around the holidays. I'm glad they took me to this spot though. I had a great meal and the service was super nice. They weren't busy and you get seated right away. The food was awesome. Tons of variations of chicken and I tried all of them and was not disappointed. Someone said it was lacking flavor or spice? They probably only tried one flavor. The jalapeño chicken was my favorite. Bourbon chicken was my 2nd and then 3rd had to be the fresh batch of pepper chicken they brought out. Also their sweet and sour chicken is as good as anyone else's. The price is very reasonable! Their dessert selection is also great. Nothing wrong with a solid scoop of ice cream or banana pudding. I wouldn't say the place was perfectly clean but I wasn't really expecting that. This is not a five star cuisine but it's a great buffet. I mean I got in there and had a sit down lunch ALL YOU CAN EAT for 6 bucks. Addressing the other reviews. Price is average Reason for the low rating: I found a human hair on my plate. I had imitation crab I was eating, noticed a hair. I advised the waitress, and she in turn got the cashier/manager(?) She then attempted to explain it was part of the sea food, they have tiny hairs they feed with. That's great and all but this was 100% man made fake crab meat. Crab sticks (imitation crab meat, seafood sticks, krab) are a form of kamaboko, a processed seafood made of finely pulverized white fish flesh,shaped and cured to resemble leg meat of snow crab. Needless to say, lost my appetite. I did take photos for later just in case. I love food but this place has left a bad taste in my mouth. I will be spreading the word of grossness. :/ They really acted like they didn't care about it. They didn't offer to get new food, discount or anything. Just stated it's fish hair. Uh huh. Avoid This Place I will not go back to this restaurant. I went in for the lunch buffet. Most of the entrees have a lot of batter coating and not much in the way of flavor. There was very little in the way of stir-fry type dishes and hardly any vegetables in any of the dishes. Even the fried rice was bad. The place needed a deep cleaning and the restrooms were awful. No, it wasn't good and I will not go back. Find a Panda Express and get a good, flavorful meal in a clean restaurant. read more

If you're in Winchester and are just dying for Chinese buffet food, this is the place to go. I stopped going to the Great Wall just off the main intersection in town years ago and would not recommend it. Jade Garden is family ran and never unclean. Customers who come here are often the reason this place appears dirty. The Lo Mein and rice here are great. Several varieties of chicken. My favorite is the pepper chicken and sweet and sour. The chicken on the stick is okay. They have fried potatoes that are seasoned very well. My husband likes what is called seafood cheese. It looks funny but he gets it every time. The food tasted under seasoned. I got the General Tso's chicken & the pieces were rather large & tough, & very hard to chew & eat. It wasn't spicy enough either. The chicken seemed bland & old. I haven't been back since I started going to the other Chinese restaurant in town, they do a much better job seasoning the food & quality & the food is much better. read more

This is the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. For starters, the place is filthy. It should have been a warning to me when I walked in and my shoes were sticking to the carpet. I then went to the restroom and it was really dirty too. Worries me as to what the kitchen looks like. The food was ok but the temp was just warm so I was worried it wasn't heated well enough. I did eat and didn't get sick so it must have been ok. I hate to give a bad review but this is one of those places I will never return to. read more
