The egg drop soup smelled and tasted like sewage and the microwave beeping was echoing through the restaurant. The entire building smelled like it had a sewage leak and I have never had worse fried rice or chicken. It was like eating wet sponge. Delicious General So's chicken and fried rice! I wish I had ordered vegetables with it and was pleased to find wonderfully cooked broccoli inside. The disappointing part was that there were only 2 pieces of broccoli. The sauce although thick, and I'm sure sugary, didn't leave me feeling gross. This made two wonderful meals! This place is gooood! We were a little put off when we walked inside because it was the size of a shoe box, but we ordered anyway and we were so happy. My daughter is an orange chicken fanatic and she said it was the best orange chicken she'd ever tasted. I had the bourbon chicken and it was wonderful, as was the sweet & sour pork. The food at Iron Chef is mostly very good. I enjoy the Hot and Sour Soup, their Spring Rolls, the Beef Lo Mein and double cooked Chicken dish. The Bourbon Chicken is also very tasty. The service is usually very pleasant. The shop itself is not indicative of the food...thank goodness. He needs to get a professionals opinion. Then re-do the whole inside. I would give a 10 stars if I could! I ordered steamed and fried pork dumplings, crab rangoon, shrimp and rice, egg roll and more. Not a bad choice out of all the meals. Food was fresh and hot after drinking home to eat. I sometimes have negative reactions to Chinese food but NONE with any of the choices we made. Crab rangoon had a generous tasty filling that went beyond just cream cheese, making dipping sauce optional. I agree with another reviewer regarding Mongolian Beef. Beef, onions, and spicy sauce as it should be. No veggie fillers. It was delicious. Enough for at least two meals even for hearty appetites. Shrimp fried rice was good. House special mei fun was good as well, albeit a tad bland. It needed something, possibly heat or a smidge of golden curry. That's probably on me. I didn't mention a heat level preference. I want to state one thing...... BAD COSTUMER SERVICE I asked for my money back because truthfully I do not need to get yelled at by someone who isn't my mother. After trying to get my point across multiple times, and explaining that I understand it is my fault, but I just wanted to clear it up, she still yelled at me but eventually says she will send me the "lo mein" and next time I better get the name right..... is that a threat??? I didn't even get a chance to say thank you because she hung up the phone on me, in my face, whatever you would like to call it. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! But obviously they make most of their business with takeout and delivery. The portions are large and were more than enough to have two meals if you wanted to. I've lived in the area for over 2 years and never knew about this little treasure of a Chinese Food restaurant!! Currently "no eat in offered" so we picked up our choices for take out and ate at home. The way this food is packaged is super, as our food was still VERY HOT after stopping for errands that we were pleasantly surprised to eat hot carry out! In my heart, Iron Chef is the only Chinese take out restaurant. There's nowhere else I'd go! The food is fast, without any loss of quality. My whole family loves it! We can pick up an order within 10 minutes of ordering, and still have it taste hot and fresh. It's consistently great. Staff is friendly, and I've never had any issues with my order! I personally go for the sweet and sour chicken! Great sauce, and nice crispy chicken that isn't even remotely dry. My mom is a huge fan of their potstickers and pork fried rice. Their chicken mei fun is also great! Those are what stick out most to me, but there's never been a thing here that I haven't enjoyed. This restaurant is basically a hole in the wall which makes it great or as my son would say "this place is magical." I got fried dumplings steamed rice and cashew chicken with extra cashews and I was not disappointed I have been there many times and ordered a different dish each time and every time it's better than the last time, also they deliver which it also makes it very convenient for me and my son, if your ever near Todd's Center I highly suggest you try this Chinese restaurant if you haven't it may not look like much but the place is awesome I would give it 5 stars if they had more seating but hey 4 stars and this awesome review is good enough. read more

Good portions (by good I mean "huge") Delivery is always fast and everything tastes fresh. With delivery and tip we got 2 entrees, 2 apps, and an egg roll for less than $30. Which seems high, but honestly we could've shared one of each and been just fine. We were starving (and have big appetites) but we still have enough for generous leftovers later. We love this place close to home, priced well and food tastes great. I usually get the general tso's chicken combo with fried rice and egg roll. My wife gets the chicken and broccoli and my oldest son loves it as well. Food has always been fresh and ready quickly. If I am out of town for work my boys say oh yeah we get to have Chinese. I love the crab Ragoon and my wife likes the steamed dumplings for appetizers. The shrimp egg rolls are also really good. This in my opinion is the best Chinese place in Lexington.
