The food here was great with a great price. The lunch special was 7.95 with meal and your choice of either a egg roll or soda. I ordered General Tso chicken with a egg roll. My husband ordered Kung POW chicken with a egg roll. Both of our lunch meals were delicious. I'm would recommend this place for takeout or eat in. The inside is small with limited seating. read more

So I literally stop here every Friday after work. Its always the same guy at the counter when I walk in. I'm always greeted with a smile. Being born and raised in New York I'm used to jumping the train and going to Chinatown . However while this may not be the best Chinese food it's not the worst in Lexington either. The food is always hot and made fairly quickly. I got an order of steamed dumplings and roasted pork with vegetables, pretty tasty! I haven't had anything bad from here . Good for what it is; a hole in the wall Chinese American carryout. I always get sesame chicken at all these types of places, and it is exactly what you would expect when I order it here. Their wonton was good on a rainy day, and their generic egg rolls or combination fried rice tastes exactly like every other place like this you've ever had it. read more

Typical hole in the wall Chinese take-out place, which is perfectly OK. Everybody needs a place like this as their "go-to", and this is mine. It's super-close to where I work, it's quick, and it's cheap. The food is perfectly acceptable, possibly even good. I've only tried three dishes here (broccoli with garlic sauce, Szechuan style tofu, general tso's tofu), and all were decent. The Szechaun tofu is just slightly spicy, which I like and tends to make it my favorite. I went most recently with somebody who stated they don't eat Chinese unless it's "home-cooked" and "authentic", but even they had to admit the bite of my dish was "pretty good", for what it's worth. It took three tries (Great Wall, China Dragon, and finally China King), Lexington, but I think I found a place that's at least good enough. read more

China king on Alexandria dr., Lexington my is hands down the very worst Chinese delivery food I have ever had in my life. I ordered pot stickers and pad thai. The pot stickers were a pre-made frozen product that you can buy at Sam's club. They were cooked in a deep fryer and were hard as rocks. The pork filling was crunchy and worse than dry dog food. I threw the rest away. As for the pad Thai the portion was very small. The noodles were so over cooked that they were water logged that they fell apart when I tried to get a forkful. The only flavor that it had was from a wedge of lemon that they threw on top. After one it's it joined the pot stickers in the garbage. I should have just thrown $20 dollars in the trash and gone to bed. It would have saved a lot of time. China King never again! read more

This is the only place I order delivery from. The prices are better than most, my son loves the sugar donuts, and the delivery fee/minimum is acceptable. I'm not very picky with Chinese food but I do love their egg rolls and can't go wrong with sweet and sour chicken. I like the flavor of their General's chicken but the chicken isn't always so great so I stopped ordering it. Delivery usually takes a bit but they're always nice. I don't ever eat inside, not sure if they even have seating, but I've stopped by to pick up orders and always quick and nice. The lunch special is a great deal. read more

Delivery was prompt and time that was promised. My wonton soup was omitted from my order. Food was reasonably warm when delivered. Lots of food for the price. The crab rangoon was disappointing. There was very little filling but the wonton was done well. The egg rolls are decent if hot. The spring rolls were the highlight of my meal. I would definitely order those again. The rice is pitiful yellow rice billed on the menu as fried (that is not the same thing). The sesame chicken is not very good and the chicken lo mein was very overcooked and mushy. The Hot and Sour soup was good though. Overall, I probably wont be ordering again but if you are looking for bad chinese food (sometimes you crave it) this is your place. read more

I give it three stars because it's what I expect for the kind of restaurant it is. You're ordering cheap delivery Chinese food, so don't expect delicious gourmet Asian cuisine. I got the chicken with snow peas and an order of crab rangoon. The chicken had that slimy quality to it that all delivery Chinese seems to have, but the flavor wasn't bad. I think it was the sauce on the whole meal that was slimy, actually, because the snow peas suffered the same fate. The bamboo shoots were a little tough, but the water chestnuts were nice and crisp. The crab rangoon was tasty. Lots of food for the price. Basically, there wasn't anything great or terrible about the food, and the delivery took exactly the amount of time the guy over the phone said it would take. I will NEVER order here again. While eating, I found a staple under all the food. I called and talked the Manager, they would not give me a refund or a free meal or anything! They tried to tell me that I could have put the staple in there myself. What the heck!? I reported them to the Health Department since they obviously didn't give a shit. read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had tonight. I have ordered from this China King many times in the past with on/off again results. Sometimes better than others but tonight it was awful. I called in my order for pick up of General Tso Chicken. It was dry and hard with no sauce. The broccoli was almost nonexistent and it too was shriveled up and dry. I was told to be there in 10 minutes and I was prob there in 9, so it wasn't like it sat there forever. This place is OK, not the best Chinese food I've ever had but certainly not bad either. I almost always order the House Special Fried Rice (HSFR) then add something different. Although what I order and what I get delivered are almost never the same thing. Normally it's not an issue for me as their food, regardless of what ends up being delivered, tends to be pretty good. The last time I ordered from them I requested a large HSFR and steamed dumplings. What I ended up getting was a small HSFR and a large house special lo mein, with the steamed dumplings. I have to be in the mood for lo mein, and I was really wanting my large HSFR. I called them up to see if I could get my order corrected, but due to a language barrier the person who answered couldn't understand my request and said I could have the lo mein, which is great and all, but not what I wanted. The only reason why I keep ordering from this place is because it's cheap and near where I live, despite my orders almost never being correct. Getting delivery from this place is like a box chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. read more
