Last week after my dental hygiene appointment close by made me want to give them another chance. I placed a small to go order in case the extra spicey cook was working. I ordered two large hot large hot & sour soup, a large egg Foo Yung, and a large pork lo mein. My husband and I ate one hot & sour soup and split the egg Foo Yung for dinner. Yay, we throughly enjoyed our meal and it had just the perfect kick of spice. We had the second soup and some of the pork lo mein the next day along with some warmed up leftover chicken. Delicious! We had two very enjoyable dinners and some lo mein left to supplement another meal. We have put China Buffet back on our list of restaurants to enjoy. The fifth star is lacking because they have raised their prices considerably as if they were an elegant restaurant. It's a little pricey for a casual dining experience.

So I'm taking off one star just for the disappointment that happens when you get home with something other than you are expecting. Last time our hot & sour soup order was "Happy Family Soup" which my husband couldn't eat at all because of the assortment of meats and fish. This time our order of Pork Lo Mein was filled with Pork Mei Fun. The rice noodles had ZERO SAUCE OR FLAVOR. if I'm intending on ordering Mei Fun I always order Singapore Mei Fun with the delicious curry seasoning. The second star is removed because the Hot & Sour soup was beyond HOT! I really like spicey food as does my husband but this soup deadened my taste buds towards food eaten at a separate meal on a separate day. It was SO HOT that the broth of the soup was an orangey red. Every spoonful had at least three or four visible chunks of red pepper. The bottom of the bowl was a collection of ground black pepper, white pepper, and chunks of red pepper skins. The first night we ate the soup it was HOT but tolerable because it was something we hadn't eaten for a while. The second night neither one of us wanted to finish the bowl because it was just TOO HOT! The third star taken off is for the quality of meat used in the General Tso's Chicken and the Mongolian Beef. The chicken was large, hard, stringy pieces of chicken that you could neither cut with a steak knife or chew. The sauce was obviously made by their cook that likes heat. It was orange not brown because of the number of red peppers. The whole large order only had two pieces total of broccoli. As for the Mongolian Beef it was thick chewy chunks of beef like what should have been used as stew meat so it would become tender. Once again it was unchewable and not worth struggling with a sharp knife. There was little sauce or onions with the Mongolian beef so it was a bust! My husband would like me to take off a fourth star because what we planned would be a third night of dinners is going in the garbage. We are dumping one quart of hot & sour soup, 2/3 an order of Mongolian Beef, 2/3 of an order of General Tso's Chicken, 2/3 of the Mei Fun that we had hoped would be our Pork Lo Mein, and three small containers of rice. WHAT A WASTE! That's money down the drain. I on the other hand am giving the star because the Egg Foo Yung on the first night was delicious. I'm being generous giving this restaurant two stars because we maybe didn't like the food but at least we didn't get sick like some reviewers have written in their reviews. WE WILL NOT BE BACK FOR AT LEAST A YEAR AND DEFINITELY WILL READ CURRENT YELP REVIEWS BEFORE WE RETURN !

It started with me placing an online order. This is new on their website while I was looking at the menu. I figured this would be best than calling the restaurant. How I was so wrong. I placed it with a 30 minute window. Ordered at 4:44 to be pick up at 5:14pm. I showed up to the restaurant at 5:03pm. There was about 4 other people at the counter. One person just placed their order, another person said her mom called to place the order but wasn't sure when it would be ready. They told everyone 20 min. I showed my ordered and they were going to be me 20 minute. I said I placed my order 20 minutes ago. Ok so I waited... Another lady came in and said that she placed her order around the same time online. Her order number was 140 and she had a long receipt with quite a lot of items. My order was 148, somehow. By the time I asked what's going on with my order at 5:15, they said they go by the order number and they're on 138. I don't think they processed my order until I arrived at 5:03pm. It took until 5:39pm before I receive the order in my hand. I only had very few items, one of which was an order for combination lo mein, plain mantou, shrimp tofu and wonton noodle soup. Mind blowing because I paid $50. The online system also charge a $1 fee, which I did not know about until I saw the receipt. Which would had been fine if my order was done in the time it was promised. Now, the staff was not the most friendly either... the person that handed me the bag almost dropped it because she put it in my hand, didn't say a word and turned and walked away. They cannot be any more rude than that. I was sweating profusely and shaking while waiting for a very long time while I am pregnant and nauseous. Now here's the review for the food. It was not good. We have had some on and off with their food and we haven't been back for a while so I wanted to give them another chance. But their lo mein was soo salty, and they used pad thai noodles. The wonton noodle soup was small container, so bland, literally no flavors, and the wonton tasted so bad. They put really hot tofu that was deep fried in styrofoam container that it put a hole through the container. So my paper bag was soaked and wet within the 6 minutes drive home. The mantou was so tiny for $4.5. Not worth it. All in all, the 4 items that I ordered did not worth the $50 for almost an hour wait, not worth my time or money. I wouldn't have eaten the food if I didn't already paid. Had I not already paid online, I would just had left.
