Chicago, deep dish sausage and mushroom
Todd K.

Not bad. I prefer New York style or tavern style to Chicago deep dish, but this got the job done. A little underdone is probably my only complaint.

Mama's Meatball Sub and side house salad. Both are great!

Good food and usually easy to set a seat for one at the bar. Lemon vinaigrette on the house salad is refreshing.

Came here for a later dinner recently to enjoy some Chicago deep dish. I honestly had no idea there was anywhere in Indy to get it! Our service was appropriately paced for the time it takes to make a Chicago deep dish pizza. I liked the TVs they had in the center of our dining area, which had some pre-season football coverage. The booths have taller partitions so it feels more intimate. I also liked the marquee saying "EAT PIZZA". I will certainly follow instructions there! The pizza we got was "The Special": sausage, green pepper, onion, and mushroom. I thought the pizza was fine, my only thing about Chicago style is that the vegetables can't caramelize like they would on a regular pizza. But that's just a personal opinion. I am pleased with the range of mocktail offerings, which are all $7.

The staff were really friendly from start to finish. We got the family sized Caesar salad to share and 2 medium pizzas for a party of 5. The food was all great and more than enough for our group. Great location to eat in downtown Indy.

Pizza and cheese garlic bread was on point. Our salad was not great at all. You'd expect a fresh cold Cesar salad but it tasted warm and soggy. No crunch on the salad at all. Our server was very good! She was attentive to our party.

This place is my group's go-to place on Day 0 for PRI and it's honestly the BEST pizza ever. I'm from California and ever since I got my hands on a slice of Giordano's signature famous deep dish pizza, it was over. No pizza place from my home state can't compare so Giordano's is always something to look forward to during our 4 day visit. Meat and more meat! This was our table's pizza that was split between 4 people. Honestly can't complain, I love all of their pizza but since we only visit once a year, we always order deep dish style. Never fails and always leaves us full! Carnivore? Then you should definitely order this dish! Make sure it's the biggest one too! Calabrian Chili Honey Chicken Wings Ok so I can't be entirely biased with Giordano's. We wanted to try this out since it was a limited chicken wing flavor and honestly it wasn't the best. I mean it's a pizza joint? They specialize in pizza but we were so hungry that we figured to try it out. Hey, if you love chicken wings or just an enthusiast for wings in general, by all means give this one a shot if it's still available! Overall Always excited to come to Indiana cause I KNOW I'll be eating some damn good pizza. Deep dish style isn't for everyone which is nice that they have their Tavern Style and Thin Crust Pizzas. But since Giordano's specializes in deep dish pizza, it's highly recommended to order deep dish style! can't wait to visit again next year and see what new pizza they'll have! And can't forget about the awesome servers doing their best on those busy convention nights! Y'all the real MVP's! Ambiance is warm and inviting with a bit of high noise since it's also got a bar but it never phases me, if anything it's relaxing since I know I'll be indulging into pizza goodness. Just remember to come hungry and you'll guaranteed to leave happy! See you next year Giordano's!

Went here for dinner. This place is cool. They have tvs so you can watch sports. They have plenty of seating. Our waitress was great. She got our drinks and put our pizza order in quickly. The pizza was delicious. We had fabulous pizza and service!

Greek Salad & Calabrian Chili Honey Wings

My 5 Takeaways (in under 60 seconds) Location: Prime location in downtown Indy near stores and things to do. Street parking and nearby parking garages are available. Vibe: Family-friendly, relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere. The décor and layout are really nice. Service: Overall, the customer service isn't the best but isn't the worst. It could use some improvements, but nothing major. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and warm. Food: Really good deep-dish pizza! BIG portions, standout flavors, and superior ingredients. I recommend the Double Pepperoni - you won't be disappointed! Quick Tip: Don't sleep on their sides! The Greek Salad and Calabrian Chili Honey Wings are both top tier!

We have not been to an authentic Chicago style pizzeria. We found Giordano's. We sat in the bar area with a view of the kitchen. Having worked at a pizza restaurant before I was blown away by the three people making the pizzas and the cleanliness of the entire kitchen. Totally organized. The pizza was very good. Will definetly have one again.

Build your own sausage, onion, mushroom, extra cheese

We aren't crazy about the deep dish they are known for. We ordered the thin crust which was not super thin kind of a cross with hand tossed - perfect. The servers are very attentive. We would go back!

Individual deep dish with mushroom, garlic, pepperoni. Delivered, and unfortunately not super warm.

I LOVE Giordano's - it's my favorite Chicago-style pizza - and I'm in town for work this week. My husband told me there's a location 1/4 of a mile from my hotel, so I decided to get delivery tonight. They are not on Doordash - they have their own system, and there is a $1 delivery fee, $3 driver fee, and then tip on top of that. I ordered bruschetta for an appetizer and an individual pizza with garlic, mushroom, and pepperoni. It said on their website it would take about 50 minutes to an hour, so I made sure to order it as I was leaving a work event. 60 minutes came and went, then 70, so I called the restaurant to check on the order. It turned out the driver had left my meal with the front desk. (This was partially my fault - it turns out cell reception isn't great in my room at this hotel, it turned out the driver DID text me, saying "downstairs with your order," but I didn't receive it until 8:25pm ... I ordered around 6:50pm and the order was supposed to be ready 7:50-8:00pm) Because of this, I didn't get my food until 8:10-8:20 or so, and unfortunately the pizza was barely warm. My hotel thankfully has a microwave so I microwaved it a little bit, but even before that, the crust was kinda soggy, as was the bruschetta - even though I appreciate them putting the tomatoes on the side, so that the whole thing wasn't soggy. All of this with tip was about $36 btw, and if I didn't have a work expense account I'd be even more disappointed than I currently am. Oddly enough, the bruschetta was better than the pizza, maybe because the tomatoes were put on the side. The pizza was still tasty but the cheese and the crust was lukewarm at best.

Pepperoni pizza

The best pizza in Indiana hands down. There is no pizza like New York pizza. Giordano's makes me feel at home!!

Small thin

Ordered via Uber Eats. I ordered a small thin that was way under cooked. Total was $49 with a taxes and fees. Took two bites and went straight into the garbage! Terrribke.

Ordered through Uber Eats. The crust on the deep dish was hard as a rock. The calamari wasn't crisp but doughy. Never again.

This downtown location is super convenient. They have a small parking area where you can park for free for a limited time, which is a big plus. Otherwise, you'd have to rely on street parking. I came right around lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't busy at all. I love having no line, quick service, and I was helped immediately. The worker was friendly and walked me through a couple options, like choosing the dressing amount and whether I wanted the bowl tossed. Nice little touch of customization. I also noticed they were offering $5 off if you join their rewards program, so of course I signed up real quick at checkout, I love a good deal! The caramelized garlic steak bowl was a hit. It was a generous portion, fresh, and flavorful. I ended up sharing it with my husband when I dropped it off at his job, and it honestly filled us both up. Inside, the vibe is very chill and clean, perfect for a quick bite. They also have outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your meal outside, but this time we went with takeout. I love that they have fresh ingredients, good portion sizes, and quick, easy service. It's definitely a go-to when you want something healthier but still satisfying.

I honestly didn't know what to expect other than I knew it was healthy food options. Parking is tough. I had to park a bit away during lunch time because their little section is pretty small and it was packed, so I parked over by Whole Foods and walked over. Not a big deal just something to be aware of, and if you are lucky enough to find a spot near them, it's tight getting in and out so just a side note. Upon walking in it was a pretty long line but again it was lunch time (around noon), so no issues. You order at and then get a number and find a place to sit. They have options to sit inside and out. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. The food came pretty quickly which was nice since it was lunch time. I ordered a kale salad which was amazing. My lunch partner had a wrap and she said it was really good. You can tell they are using really top notch ingredients which is good. Pricing is pretty typical for these type of places.

I've ordered and sampled several different menu items. I really liked the green chili queso, the roasted broccoli, smashed potatoes, and the other roasted vegetables. On the last visit my friend ordered the salmon entrée. It was a very, very, small piece of salmon. I don't know if that is the usual size or not but definitely not what we expected for the price. The only thing I have tried here that I didn't care for was the Mother Earth Bowl. When I ordered it the employee mentioned that it was their most popular item, but I thought the greens were very bitter and the dressing didn't complement the vegetables. But apparently everyone else loves it. The parking lot was congested each time I have been here. Traffic flow is difficult so next time I will park farther away and walk rather than navigate the small lot in front of the restaurant.

We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. It reminded me that sports have a funny way of turning complete strangers into friends. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're headed to Gainbridge.

I walked past, looking longingly, past the next sports bar, a torta place, the hole in the wall, and towards the new apartments when my courage finally reared. I returned (luckily downhill) and passed the other bars where people were transfixed on the home opener of the pacers and nuggets. Good for them. My heart was on food and a recommendation from a friend I just met after having moved here. I walked in to the host stand at a bar and asked if I could sit; they said sure, but the bar is over there and pointed to an ante room near the kitchen. A new room, a new adventure, and the smells and music flowing out transfixed me. I found a stool, took a deep breath, and started to peruse and study the cocktail menu and constantly changing main menu. I ordered a beverage, Alex dutifully told me what was available and really just sauntered into my meal. Starting with oysters on seaweed with vinegar mignonette hit the briny taste point I needed against my drink. The roasted carrots with pomegranate and gravy were divine and hot with Cambrian chili slices. I followed that with the pricci pasta dish and the yogurt sauces mixed with the harissa lamb just sang on my taste buds. However; I did look. At the desert menu before ordering my main. Knowing how the pastry chef is acclaimed and is currently having a moment. That dessert, amazing. So fucking amazing. The custard pie was like someone figured out how to deconstruct a milk caramel, put it onto the top of a brown sugar tart that just melts in your mouth like a sugar cookie batter before it sets. This custard tart took longer to get off of my plate than the time it took me to eat the rest of my meal. I tasted each component, savored every last morsel, and shared bits with those on either side of me. Divine is not enough of an adjective with the prowess to express my gratitude. The team at the bar were not only attentive, they were my friends and helped me thoroughly enjoy my first Friday night out in a new city. To drink, I ordered the redrum cocktail and it was soo good, almost just tasted like apple cider. They change the menu everyday so you don't really know what there will be until you get there (but the menu online was kinda similar to what they had). To eat, we shared the grilled bread, red leaf salad, casarecce, patatas bravas, and beef tri-tip. This might have been too much for just the two of us lol, and we probably could have done without the potatoes because they were the most meh out of everything. I think I only ate one or two. The grilled bread came with the most delicious butters (I think one was chive and one was honey cinnamon) and some olive oil with garlic, soo good. The red leaf salad was amazing. I love that they clarify the apples are jonathan apples (my favorite variety)--it was definitely one of the most perfect fall salads and I would love to try recreating it myself. The casarecce came with a pesto sauce and it tasted so fresh. The beef tri-tip was good, but nothing spectacular. For dessert, we ordered the pumpkin ice cream and omg it was amazing--might have been one of the best pumpkin ice creams I've ever had. It tasted exactly like pumpkin pie filling. We also got the croissant pudding (like bread pudding but with croissants) and it was also so delicious. Definitely don't skip on desserts if you come here because they are worth it.
